Now this was an interesting tie-up of that certain plot point, and I can't help but feel for Red Tornado when he finds out. A horrific nightmare scenario for Barbara, but she worked through it, didn't she? And if it wasn't for you-know-who, she would have been stuck like that forever, maybe. Yikes. Anyway, looks like we've got a new team member coming up, and a big battle on all fronts for Barbara. I'll be back next month, Brian! Great work!

The thing I love about the New Outsiders, is that this book celebrates what is great about DC2. Technically, it's an Original Title, since the origin and mission statement is so different from the original Outsiders, so in some ways it might be at a disadvantage compared to other titles that already have comparable DCU counter-parts.
But New Outsiders celebrates th history of DC2. This title continually impresses me all the time with interesting stories and character moments, plot twists and turns, and overall WTF moments, but it also tells a story that never stops. It seems like the New Outsiders are always going through the grinder, but I realized that maybe that's because the story never stops. This issue referenced the Joker beating, Apokalips, the Starro incident, everything. It really showed what the characters have actually been through and how much has changed. I almost think this issue was more landmark than Issue 50.
