Please let us know what you thought of the end of this chapter for Johnny Thunder and Madame .44! And then come back in June for Weird Western Spectacular, and next issue, Jonah shows up in full force! And meanwhile, a special thanks to Samantha for stepping in and editing this issue while Mark is out on a much deserved vacation.
Take care Don

I thought this issue was phenomenal =) and I was lucky to get the sneak preview. I love John and Jeanne, and all the twists and turns their relationship took to finally get to this point. Gideon was, as always, an excellent villain for my tastes, and more than entertaining, and I loved the scene between John and his father - a real Jim Gordon moment. The climax was so much fun, i laughed out loud at Johnny's boldness when he used that bottle!
Another excellent entry in an excellent series, and I'm betting the Spectacular will live up to its name

I knew in roundabout sense where this story was going (the privledge of overseeing the title!) but that didn't stop me from getting a mite worried over events as I read it -- I really wasn't sure whose side Jeanne was on until near the end. Very twisty-turny, this whole thing was. Could have used a tad more explanation on a point or two (was Breyer the Devil or another disreputable angel?), but overall was good. Best part was Johnny's speech at the end...to tell the truth, it reminded me of when my husband and I first got together (very long story, but don't worry, no Indian trickster gods were involved!). And yes, if the Spectacular doesn't live up to its moniker, I'll eat my hat.

Thanks for the nice words, ladies. Glad the story worked for you both. I was worried, especially with the use of Madame .44 and how that would come across, let me tell you. I'm glad the angle seemed to have worked though, that's good to hear. Susan, Breyer was an angel in the Mormon traditions, which hold (at least some of them) that an angel is a soul as-yet unborn. He got kind of a rush-through, it's true, and a shame, but in short: Breyer messed up his chance to get that bornin'. Johnny and Jeanne get some needed down-time to make their lives for now, but rest assured, they'll be back for more adventures, but first up: Jonah! Take care Don

And yes, if the Spectacular doesn't live up to its moniker, I'll eat my hat. Careful there, Susan. One of my stories is in there and stetsons don't taste good no matter how you prepare it. And I guess I should comment on the story, huh? It was nice to see such a good ending. Heck, the thing was completely worth reading just for the ending scene alone. But, with that said, it was nice to see Johnny and Jeanne beat Gideon at his own game. I guess the best way to totally rub it in is to beat a trickster spirit at his own game. However, there were numerous other scenes in here that were also great. The standout being the heart to heart between John and his father... even if dear ol' dad was a bit slow on the uptake. John became a man well before William was aware of it. Good thing to know that the story isn't over and I look forward to whenever you decide to take up the tale of these two again.
