Hey Guys!
I am sorta new to DC2 - I am liking the stories so far. Some cool stuff here.
Have you guys put together something that outlines your general continuity? I am just curious to know where the history of the characters are when reading these stories.
Thanks
Grant

Grant,
Your question is a valid one, and a concern that many new readers (and prospective staffers) may share. An internal continuity can be imposing, and instead of digging through hundreds of pages of back issues (though a worthy and rewarding endeavor in it's own right!), there should be a "crib sheet" that new members can use as a starting off point for their foray into the DC2!
To that end I will post some continuity updates here, and encourage my fellow editors to do the same.
First up: Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman!

I put a "Previously in..." on the front of my Wonder Woman issues in case people can't be bothered to read back. Those first 10 issues of Wonder Woman are amazing though, so I would recommend you read them

SUPERMAN!
Discovered that he was not the last survivor of Krypton when a trio of Kryptonian criminals escaped from the Phantom Zone and attempted a takeover of Earth (Adventures of Superman #0-2). One of the villains, led by the nefarious General Zod, is Kru-El, the bastard son of Jor-El, and the half brother of Superman. Zod and his handmaiden Faora Jax-Ur, were driven off-planet, but Kru-El was bartered to Apokolips and transformed by Desaad into the mindless Killing machine called Doomsday.
In the planetary Crisis that followed, Superman banded together with other heroes of Earth to defeat the diabolical ambitions of the mad god Darkseid, and he became a founding member of the Justice League.
During the Crisis, Jonathan Kent lost his life in a heroic rescue of school children. Clark Kent has since left Metropolis and his burgeoning feelings for Lois Lane, to return to Smallville and help his mother get the Kent farm back on it's feet (Action Comics # 9--- ?). Recently, he has received quite a surprise from his childhood sweetheart Lana Lang--- that has him contemplating a different future!

BATMAN!
Issued a challenge by the Joker, Batman ordered Robin and Batgirl to lay low until he could deal with the threat--- but they were forced into action, and nearly killed by the Joker. Coming to their rescue, Batman was too late to save Bruce Wayne's fiancee Julie Madison, and in his grief and concern, he exiled his former proteges from the dangerous streets of Gotham.
Batman works closely wilth Detective Lieutenant James Gordon, one of Gothams few clean cops) to protect their beloved city. He has since reconciled with Dick Grayson (now Nightwing) and Barbara Gordon (Batgirl of the Las Vegas New Outsiders).

WONDER WOMAN!
Chosen as the Themysciran ambassador to Man's World, Princess Diana was forced to deal with disasterous events on Paradise Island.
In a mad gambit for supreme power over all the cosmos, Hades, the God of the Underworld put into motion events that triggered not only the death of Zeus, King of Olympus, but the opening of Doom's Doorway on Paradise Island. In the war that followed against the demonic spawn of Uranus, Queen Hippolyta fell in battle against the ancestral enemy of the Amazons, the Minotaur, who was in turn slain in single combat by a blindfolded Diana!
In the end, and with the aid of a recently returned new tribe of Lost Amazons led by Diana's own cousin, Hippolytus, Wonder Woman was able to foil the designs of Hades (Wonder Woman #0-8). In the turmoil that followed, the contentious Reunited Amazaon Nation was solidifyed by the marriage of Diana and Hippolytus--- but the honeymoon did not last long. Spurred on by Ares, now god of the Underworld as well as War, Zenobia of the Lost Amazons challenged Diana for the mantle of Wonder Woman, and aided by the Girdle of Atlas, and Diana's own fatigue from her recent trials, Zenobia won!
Diana has recently taken back the mantle of Wonder Woman from the pretender Zenobia (WW#12), but stands on the verge of her greatest adventures!

Tales of the Green Lantern Corps!
"The Legion Virus Saga" Issues: 1- 8
A plague known only as the Legion Virus had infected the Green Lantern Corps, turning Corpsmen against each other. Once infected, the virus would turn a power ring yellow, corrupting not only the ring, but the ring-slingers themselves. Nearly one thousand Lanterns had fallen, when Corpsman Abin Sur fell at the hands of Sinestro of Korugar. In a final attempt to save his ring from corruption, a random hyper-space jump landed Abin Sur on Earth...
Air Force Pilots Hal Jordan and Guy Gardner were nearly killed as an alien spacecraft crashed on top of them. Abin's power ring was bequeathed to Jordan, turning his universe upside down. Little did he know that Sinestro was tracking Abin Sur's ring.
DEO director King Faraday and his partner Agent Chloe Sullivan arrived at the scene of the crash to investigate. Hal's odd behavior attracts not only their attention, but also Guy Gardners attention, leading to the discovery of Hal's new alter-ego by all three. As Guy Gardner confronts Hal, Sinestro attacks. The fight is brutal, yet in the end Hal prevails, Sinestro lies (presumably dead) and Guy Gardner disappears with Sinestro's infected ring.
In the weeks that follow Hal fights the Tattooed Man, gets a crash course in how to be a Green Lantern by a trainer named Kilowog, travels to OA at the center of the Universe where he meets the Guardians of the Universe and Corps Elite.
The Guardians had determined that the source of the Legion virus was on Qward in the anti-matter universe and that the only way to stop it was to destroy the source of the virus.
The Corps Elite: Kilowog, Katma Tui, Salakk, Ch'p, Tomar Re, Chaselon and newly drafted Hal (drafted because he was the only Corpsman to ever defeat a Legion infected Lantern) travel to Qward where they engage Qwardians and their former allies. Hal risks his life by entering the Viruses source and destroying it from the inside. The elite are victorious and the Legion Virus is destroyed, but not without consequence. Chaselon is killed and Salakk is gravely wounded. Guy Gardner escapes with Sinestro's old power ring, but is freed of the Viruses influence.
Hal Jordan's ring was permanently altered from his actions on Qward. No longer adversly affected by the color yellow and free of the 24 hour power limit. He is offered a permanent position in the Corps Elite...
Life looked good for the hero until the Crisis struck.
Tales of the GLC #9
Hal fights a demented Dr. Polaris on Earth as Kilowog and Katma Tui fly through the Universe recovering missing Green Lantern rings. Hal is victorious, but a discovery on a distant planet shatters the Corps forever!
Katma Tui finds a severed Manhunter head and is ordered to return it to OA immediately. Upon her arrival a Green Lantern named Carthag took the head from her hands and destroyed it before the Central Power Battery. The detonation destroyed the Central Power Battery, and cut off all power to Green Lantern rings across the Universe.
At that instant BOOM tubes open in the Oan skyline and the Apokolyptian upgraded Manhunters invade...
Tales of the GLC #10
Final Monthly issue!
Hal's ring is the only remaining working power ring as the hordes of Apokolyps attack Earth. Hal is attacked by Darkseid's son Kalibak, the battle is brutal, but Hal emerges victorious.
The fallen Corpsmen on OA fight with whatever they can get their hands on as one by one the Guardians fall at the hands of the Manhunters and their new Grand-master. As the final Guardian falls, the Lantern's lay their weapons down determined to live to fight another day...
Justice League #0

Thanks guys!
In terms of Batman.....what is the current status quo of his supporting cast, particularly those in the GCPD?

The perfect people to answer that question is the co-writers on the 'Tec book, Brian and Chris, Aka Starlord and tony clifton. They are in the process of weaving an intensely dark and gripping tale which currently involve the GCPD.
