There's a series right around the corner called "Global Guardians" that you should read... should have some of the characters you're looking for.

Hey,
I am starting a series dedicated to the Two Face from the film The Dark Knight. In the 1st issue which I am currently writing Batman and Two Face are about to face off. Should I or should I not kill off the Batman? If I don't what should happen to Two Face?

I think you should give this some further thought before you start.

I've already started. I just wrote that to see what the fans wanted. However, it's too late now because I already killed him off."

First: He didn't tell me he was going to even think about killing Batman.
Second: Why do I keep getting proposals like this?!?

Fine I'll change my story and Batman won't die but I won't allow Two Face to be captured. I do not want to have Two Face break out of Arkham every single issue

I do not want to have Two Face break out of Arkham every single issue I don't know man, ongoing villain-centric series are very hard to write because that's the problem you're going to be facing. Just saying. You can't kill your "villain", in this case Batman, because then you're taking away any conflict in the series as it I don't think it's a viable concept in this form.

Two Face could face other DC heroes like Green Arrow, Wonder Woman, Superman, etc. He could face other villains that get in his way like Riddler, Penguin, Black Mask, Lex Luthor even, or maybe even someone like Darkseid. He could also create his own Injustice League if you want to call it that and he could face DC teams like the Justice League, the Teen Titans, the JSA, etc. I was also thinking of allowing him to face another Two Face only instead of being Harvey Dent, it could be Harvey Kent or Holman Hunt, the other "Two-Face" in the Joker's Asylum. There are lots and lots of possibilities

I think Two-Face should reform... mostly... and take up a new law practice. Then he could be Harvey Dent, SUPER ATTORNEY! And can handle the strange legal tangles of the crazy hustle and bustle of the metahuman community. Can Batman sue Catman for copyright infringement? Can a hero get a restraining order for their arch-nemesis? Does Lex Luthor owe Superman back child support payments for Superboy?!
If you are really dying to write a Two-Face series... I think this might be the way to go. ;D

Actually, all kidding aside, its not a bad idea, Brandon. Sure Two-Face is a villain and is self-serving but you can certainly play up the duality in the character. He can be both good and evil (and often changing at the drop of a hat). So the attorney angle isn't a bad one to play with. Heck, you have Two-Face "reform" and get back into law (but quite willing to take the law into his own hands when the mood strikes him or he thinks he can get away with it).
Even if you do have the hero come around, there might be just enough good deeds done (or at least good intentions) to make the hero go elsewhere. That'd be a bit tougher with Batman but he's made his own share of deals with the devil before now.

I have to admit, there are chops to that premise. Two-Face could easily be a criminal lawyer now too, I could see that. Defending the civil rights of the fellow insane inmates of Arkham Asylum, people no one else will take up, befouling the legal system with a masterless knowledge of it, and how the DA's office works (and doesn't work). Almost like a combination of Oz/Law & Order/Hannibal Lecter; society feels it's safe from the monster as he remains in his concrete room when in truth he's creating a much more different kind of havoc and terror.
Take care Don

Chops, yeah. There's some meat; weight; strength; possibilities; etc. It's an interesting premise for a series. Brandon may have started in jest, but it wasn't far afield from what I was thinking would be my approach anyway.

I think the idea of Two Face reforming would be a good idea only later in the series right now I want him evil. However, if I do reform him I will not give him plastic surgery like actual comic-book writers do. I actually like the fact that he has 2 faces so I will only cure his mind. Also if I do reform him I'll be keeping him on the line between good and evil and not so far into the good side because then I would have no point in writing stories.

Why can't Two Face be reformed with his face the way it is? He always does ruin his face again when he decides to turn evil again in the real comics and it gets annoying. Plus keeping his face ruined could remind Gotham of the evil that runs rampant in the city and their need to stop it. It will also serve him as a reminder of Rachel and why he is fighting for justice (reformed) or against it (evil again). Besides his face and the fact that he is evil is what interests comicbook fans the most. If he had not been scarred and become evil then readers would not pay attention to him. The real comic book writers also notice this and that's why they keep bringing Two Face back even after plastic surgery such as in Face the Face
