Thanks Batman123. That's a Fantasy-type character but I don't really have a lot of backstory for him. Some kind of blind order of mystics-thing.

I've seen it before, but I just love everything about that Silver Age cover...! Nice touch on the S insignia, btw.

Thanks again, D! I swear, some day soon I'll recolor the thing and get it to where I originally envisioned it.

It's funny, but the one I love is the Bouncing Boy one!!! I love that indie, cartoony style and I really love the watercolors. That would fit right in in a Bizarro Comics collection!! (seriously, I would love to see all the legion done like that!)

Ha. Yeah, that was a really fun piece. I like using that medium but hardly ever do. *shrugs* The entire Legion?! Uhh... ;D

Since most of my Fan Art ends up as covers these days (ha!) I thought I'd do something different and post a page out of one of my sketchbooks. That way you can see some of the other strange things that come out of my brain. ;D

Thanks for that last comment, Doc. Missed that somehow. Here's a pic I did as part of a proposal a few years back called 'Dracula Incorporated'. Anyone remember the whole Epic thing from Bill Jemas? It went down in flames but in the meantime I had some fun working with the Marvel Monsters characters. The guy's name is Drake and was supposed to be the son of Rachel Van Helsing and Frank Drake from the original Tomb of Dracula book. The other guy's name is Jack Pierce and the son of Jack Russell, the original Werewolf By Night. And, the girl was a new character named Miranda Morgan (I swear I did that design before 'Danny Phantom' came out).

haha i had an idea like that when i was younger... actually like... (i dunno it was when these cool universal monster action figures came with happy meals at burger king if thats an indication) nothing that awesome.also the guns look real cool brand, well done. might i ask though why the bullets have skulls and not crosses?

Ha, I DO know when those Universal Monsters came out actually. Besides old robot toys, I collect classic monster stuff and have that whole set. The skull is just a little artistic design thing I did, the bullets aren't supposed to really have anything on them. They're silver and I figure that's enough. I don't buy into a lot of the modern overthinking of vampire lore like you see in Blade, Underworld, etc. I like the rules simple. The style of this book would have actually been more like the old Hammer films. It was pretty involved as well with characters in it like Frankenstein, Brother Voodoo (reimagined as a hip hop producer/club owner), the Blood Countess, and a Dr. Strange cameo. I was about to send in the full pitch and then the whole Bill Jemas party at Marvel caved in and that was that!

I love, love LOVE old Hammer films, I LOVE the Tomb of Dracula and other 70's Marvel monster books, and this would have made a bitchin' book. I am sorry it didn't come into fruition (yet another reason to despise that POS Bill Jemas. I truly loathe him...well, him and Chuck Austin) This peice, therefor, really inspires me...especially the very accurate Werewolf By Night face on that T-shirt. I also agree those are some sweet lookin' colts. Man...do more of these!!!

Thanks, Jim. The guns are slightly inaccurate, but if no one notices I guess it's cool. I borrowed from Trigun a little and the cross on Drake's back is a big ol' silver sword.

Been awhile so I'll post a few new things here. First up, Mystech Control was an RPG project I was involved with about 10 years ago and was a very literal blend of sci-fi and fantasy elements. I did character pics of the characters of my friends so here's pic somewhere photoshopped together for me (back before I had photoshop) of the various pics. Here's the group... left to right: Cyrus Cole, Creep (my character), Mr. Zero, Colorfast, Mirage, Catboy, Liquidia, Eclipse, Rufus, Shade, Metal Betty, Twylin, and FLEA. Loads of fun and I did another run of updates on these guys but they were all in static, animated-style character profiles so those aren't so visually exciting. Anyway, you can see a different set of styles I've had there. Here's a watercolor of Eclipse too: And I did a half dozen or better pages of comic art for it too. Here's one with a big dragon. It's been dead in the water for awhile but I hope to do something with these characters again someday since I've been in alot of time developing them with my friends, Chip and Davy.

Another project I did a few years ago was a webcomic called Max Metal. Here's one of the panels from that... Again, something I had fun doing but I was learning how to use Photoshop at the same time I started this strip so every installment was very time intensive, and I just sorta burned out on it. I plan on picking up on this project one day as I worked out the whole story and I would really like to finish it. Note: You can also see some progression of the Max Metal character if you look up the page to the sketch artwork I posted.
