Dude, I'm just waiting for the day I crash my Photobucket account and half the covers disappear from the site.

Well, I have a fully registered web site that I paid for, with (almost) unlimited download capability... BUT I FORGOT THE PASSWORD!!! I keep meaning to go to the office to get my account and password reset, but they're kind of far from my work.

I have a paid account but it's with Geocities and they used to be real link nazis and was real hitchy about getting direct linked pics to show up all the time so I've never really relied on it.
Didn't mean to make any panic. ;D It's just been a lingering fear that the more stuff I post and the more people that show up then the more I push the limits of that free account. So anyway, I checked it out and apparently the folks are Photobucket are very generous because it doesn't look like I'm anywhere near my monthly limit. Yay!

Since talking about this character in another thread, I've been thinking about drawing him. So here he is.... the Bronze Tiger: Why did I use the old tiger mask?? Well, I'm old school like that. Enjoy!

Alright, it's been a while since I put any new stuff here (damn me for being a slacker!), so here's a rough of the fight sequence in Wonder Woman #0... It's pretty rough, got lots to fix on it. Just though I'd give you guys a sneak preview...

Since I have no time to add new artwork, I'll add some old artwork. Anyone care to wager on how old this picture is? I'll give you a hint, I hadn't started college yet. I should add that the grey tone in the background was just added before I posted the picture.

i love the bronze tiger picture. i would die if there was a bronze tiger, richard dragon, lady shiva, and question fight ever put to paper. i think it would be one comic that wouldn't need any dialog, that's for sure.

Okay, this is something slightly different. Instead of a drawing by me, this is an ink job by me. Pencils courtesy of John Byrne. The original pencils for this work can be found at: jbgallery.ourbunch.net/action833pencils/images/ACTION833.13.jpg
Click for a larger (1068x1620, 1mb) version. The tricky part was that Mr. Byrne's pencils are done on 14x17. I was stuck inking on 8.5x11 (the limits of my printer and scanner). Inking on a smaller page is faster, but there were a lot of details that were just too small to work on properly. To anyone who appecriates John Byrne's art, I would highly recommend checking out: www.byrnerobotics.com/ . Lots of Byrne artwork there.

Hmm.. Interesting. I hadn't seen the challenge before. I've been on the Byrne discussion boards a bit, but I don't participate (for a few reasons).

My second inking exercise. The previous inking exercise, I was trying to be as faithful to the pencils as I could, adding little details of texture and a bit of shadow. Here, I tried keeping it still as faithful to the pencils, but adding more shadow and mystery... click here to see the original pencils Click for a larger version I like frame 1 and 4. Frame 3 was just waaay to small. Unfortunately, I don't have a copy of Blood of the Demon #1, so I can compare my inks to whomever did them. By the way, pencils by John Byrne, in case anyone doubted!

Okay, enough of me doing other people's stuff... Here's a sneak peek of a pencil detail from an upcoming New Outsiders cover I'm working on... Click on the picture for a largeer version. This is for those Arrow fans out there... Black Canary fans will get a bigger treat in less than two weeks from now.

Great inkwork, Doc! I liked at the shading you did on the Demon's face. Teh sweet!
And really cool version of Green Arrow. I like the more traditional archer look there. I would love to see a color version of that!

Special treat for y'all! Here's the alternate, unused cover for Secret Society of Super-Villains #2! There are a few slight difference between this cover and the version that was used. You'll notice the logos have a purple shade on them. A slightly different lenze flare effect. Brandon (KSM) gave me the idea to add the text at the bottom. Enjoy!

Since the real mirror master was mostly concealed by his mirror images, here's the unobscured mirror master from SSOSV #3. This is such a weird pose, since no one would ever really walk like this. It works though because it does relay the sense that he is trying to sneak away. One bit of trivia from the cover of SSOSV that you might not have noticed. All the mirror masters have their eyes shut, except for the one sneaking away. Typically I wouldn't close a person's eyes in a drawing. This is because eyes shut means the person could be sleeping or dead. The eyes are the windows to the souls, as they say. In the case of the mirages, I thought it worked, since it gives a small hint that they might not be actual living beings. Anyway, that was an explanantion that ran too long!

Very interesting, Doc.
I think one of the only "hidden" things I have in a pic here is that the Darkseid in the DC2 Illustrated has a big omega symbol on his chinstrap/lower helmet.
