here's something that might get replaced with itself colored and it might not, I'm leaning towards colored but I'm not sure I want to color it. Aw well. also here is a little thing I did because I thought it was funny.

Eh, his old stuff was better. Y'know, most artists wait until they hit middle-age before they go into their abstract and sloppy phase, but you are ahead of your time!
You know I'm bullsharting you, Ramon. I love it. Did you do some of these slice-of-life type shots from reference? Just curious. And you should most definitely color the Jason vs. Frankenstein pic. I'll even favorite it on DeviantART if you do.
Cartooning can be many things but it is essential for good comic art, indie or mainstream, in my humble opinion. It's the essence of the art even if the style itself isn't that cartoony per se. With the right balance you get a good glimpse of the artist's personality imbued into the story of the artwork and that's what can really strike those personal cords with the audience.
Wow, was that an artsy fartsy critique or what?

The "bullsharting" thing was what got me, B.

thanks for not bullsharting, me B. I hate it when that happens. Here is a batman I did for a print. I lost all my work and had to start over from scratch and color it within the hour to get it printed for artwalk.

That is wildly creative, Ramon. And probably much cooler than I realize...!
"It isn't holy!"
Nice! I think you just took your stock up a notch!

Love the collage approach to art. Dave McKean has always been a major artist I've always respected and looked forward to seeing work from (Signal To Noise is one of my all time favourite pieces of anything, EVER). That is some pretty impressive work to pull comparisons to McKean from me, man.

Thanks you guys. It's always good to get my stock up Dave, not sure what it means but I like the sound of that. Now to take the level of the sophistication of this thread down with some superheroes, yeah?

Oh my god...
I just spent the better part of the last hour browsing your deviantArt stuff. I am just astounded by your talent... And the fact that you are so prolific is absolutely mindboggling!
And, of course, it was nice to see Blair (student-of-the-prestigous-Joe-Kubert-School-of-Art-Snobbery) is still haunting the interwebs.

Okay so after a however many months hiatus I am back up in this b*tch. So first i'm gonna fill you guys in on what pathetic few drawings i've done. a facetious pin up for one Sarah Palin Batman of Zur en Arrh! Some characters from some lame comic the REAL Supergirl. I've been liking Tomasi's run. Not enough to ink it but enough for me to draw dick kicking the hell out of two face in class. Jungle Batman and Robin are Awesome. Those who think they are silly need to bare in mind... Batman skinned a panther with his BARE hands to get that pelt. ugh, Shouldn't even post this This one was for Mr. Herren and Mr. Walsh. This one was for Will Shatner being awesome. These are some characters from an amazing comic. You should probably read it some time. a few dead celebrities. and here's some really cool stuff I don't post around much because they are photographs and i generally don't photograph my 3d stuff and paintings well Joker Some guy ceramic bust My Bronze Desk Gnome. Like a garden gnome of the desk. The Goddamn Batman! 3d casting of Saturn Devouring his Children. and a series of sculptures that took up hours and hours and hours of my time. those are photographed a little better because they were uh... not taken by me. phew, if you are still reading and looking by now... why?! haha

This one was for Mr. Herren and Mr. Walsh. Frank Miller has become to me what Lou Ferrigno is to Chris. Hail Shatner! The Fifth Beatle? I really like these little sculptures of Superman on the toilet. Seriously. Nice stuff, Ramon. Nice to see all the various media you've been working in.
