I absolutely HAVE to start inking my drawings. See, what I've been doing is scanning my pencils and playing around with the levels and curves in Photoshop to make it appear as inked. Of course I would then have to erase all the smudge marks that magically appear. I'm telling you, it was TORTURE! So these first two are done that way. (oh PS froze in the middle of my clean up job and GUESS WHAT? I didn't save...grrr) I'm a wing-nut. My fave part about this? His hair. I think it would be cool to be a colorist. I actually drew his pose from my head. I can't usually do that. Ohhh...this one I never want to see again...the little boxes...erase erase erase 2 days people, 2 freaking days! How embarrassing is that? (no it wasn't 48 hours straight, I do have a life...ocassionally I realized halfway through that I should have taken advantage of my tracing paper, but nooo I stuck with it. I was already halfway after all... It may get colored. Eventually. After I stop seeing webbing on my eyes... Hey guess what? I didn't have to erase anything! WOOHOO! I would ask if anyone could guess who it is, but someone always does...but don't look at the url! No it's not finished, no clue if I will finish it in the future.

superboy? what that acotors name, tom welling?
I'm just kidding... I knew it was "him" when I saw it, and not because I read a URL nor because you told me before hand too. Good work on those.

Even my roomies knew who it was, now that surprised me a lot. Maybe I just underestimate his fame.
Thanks!

Thanks Brandon! On a random note, I have a friend who's a twin named Brandon. Uh, where does killerseamonkey come from?

He is a sea monkey... but unlike any you've ever seen before... In his language, Killerseamonkey means: "He who eats all seamonkeys and thoroughly enjoys it".
Like Lobo... but much, much, [glow=green,2,300]MUCH[/glow] sicker.
Don't even ask what Brandon means in his language...
*Shudders at the thought*

He spoiled me...

Hmm....don't I know you from somewhere?
I'm liking the art JR, I think I remember you posting the Cilian Murphy drawing a few months back over at wingnuts, but the Spidey and Nightwing pics are new to me.

NW sketch in pen. Did you know that your arm span equals your height?

Oh look an update! LOL I have been debating over whether to post this or not. I tried to make the colors look more painted...I suppose practice makes perfect.

I love it! His left leg seems a little off to me (it kind of looks like it's going off to the side), but other than that it looks great.

Thanks you two! And it's not really Tom Welling, it's Cillian Murphy. I really enjoyed making this.... Oh ya.

Extra! Extra! Jrfan has an update! I've been staring at this one a couple days and wondering what I could do to make it better: Now this started out as a NW and bane drawing...then I added robin. He can be seen here before I took him out: img.photobucket.com/albums/v384/jrfan8/nw_bane.jpgI like how I drew robin, but when I stepped back I decided it would look better without him. What do you guys think? I plan on changing a few things when I ink, but should I keep Dick's hair the way it is or not? Suggestions are appreciated!

waitasecond! that is post infinite crisis by the look of the robin, shouldn't dick be getting beat up by jason todd right about now instead of choking bane? one thing that looks a little weird is batman's massive forearms, they look even a little bigger than Banes.

Argh Ramon!!!!! I refuse to acknowledge the existence of the NW title.
And you are totally right about Bat's forearms, that will be on the list to change. Or change the pose completely...

Thanks Carlos. I know we talked about doing the NW cover together, but that long gap combined with my late start on it (my fault) it didn't work out. As soon as I find out what the next cover is, I'll PM you......or do you have AIM/Yahoo?
I've got to update this thing. One page is just sad.

OK! First round of updates. Not really anything new, just putting everything in one place in a sort of organized manner. Pencils for NW #6 The final cover, as you can see the hair is different and the face. NW #7, pencils with some colors NW #7 final cover NW #8 pencils, with title NW #8 with just the title NW #9 pencils NW #9 final cover. I fixed the left arm. This was the first time I tried a different coloring technique. It didn't come out as well as I'd hoped...it took away from the pencils I think. NW #10, lineart done entirely on the PC with a wacom NW #10 final cover, after I added the terrorist/window and moved the candy canes
