I don't draw as much as I used to, but here's some stuff I've done Sketches Creeper Captain Comet (I messed up his helmet, I know...not like he'll be wearing it or anything)

Thanks for the comments guys, I haven't drawn in a while but I'll get back to it. And as requested, this was a pic of a character Legacy made named Raptor. By the way Legacy, I think the Godhand characters were awesome! If I get some time I'l ltry and get some time to really draw them all.

thanks. I used the original and some of Alex's Ross's design in Kingdom Come (they're very close anyway, so it's really just a combination).
Thanks to everyone for their comments! If you have any criticism, feel free to give it.

I have some ideas brewing right now, just need a green light, but here are a few redesigns for some of my fave magic-related characters in DC Blue Devil Kuei Zauriel (I always felt hsi armor was too much work...or at least his symbols and such. I'd like him to keep spirit glyphs as part of his skin, but I'd do it like Manitou Raven so that when he "suits up" or when he's doing something divine/magical they appear)

For the first time in a long time I colored my work, so here is the last three colored BD's trident tattoo (that can become a tattoo) would be mostly white, though BD's arm would have soem black on it. ________________ Kuei I figured would always look angry (besides being a demon) because he's a chinese soldier who tried to kill himself by drowning back in WW II and became a demon who can never reincarnate further! What kind of news is that for a guy expecting a gret reward for suicide? And still he becomes a hero who fights for the Allies. What a story. You don't get much different than that for a minor DC character. ________________ Zauriel would have a mix of black, gold and grey (silver highlights on the armor too if I was more detailed) because angels had magnificence, and Zauriel was grey, but black because he can kill. Angels in the bible are more than just messengers most of time.

they are sweet love how you modernised the idea of both DC and demons and angels and ended up with something so cool. Glad you like my Godhead. I have a sort of rough idea of a story that may intail them...if I ever write it (probably wont) but if I do I will need some cover art....

Three more: Faust (without his trenchcoat) Manitou Raven This is a draft of how I would draw him. This particular picture I wanted to keep the usual black outfit he had in JL Elite, with some modern alterations and his own weapons (which I know I drew wrong, but it was a rough sketch). I also forgot his face tattoos (the black stripe like things under his eyes), but what I had intended was to have his face covered in shadows anyways. These sketches needed to be colored. I drew the top one with him having his headress down (on his back will be a back pack similar to a nike bag that is covered by his headdress and stores various items he may need for particular tasks. The spirited up one will have how he will look when he goes into his "super" mode, and I definately will keep his pale skin and spirit tattoos.

Here are some sketches I did today and some short photoshoping work for color: Etrigan the Demon: My reimaging. Now that I look at him, I'd rather have tried doing two small horns on his head like I saw on one picture (it was good) but this was good too. Ion: I originally would have drawn him with the white and green but I made a mistake while trying something on photoshop, and left it black. I wish I would have spent more time on it, it came out mediocre... Lobo: Nothing really different. Just wanted to draw the bastich. The Ray: Requested by Apprentice, I tried Ray, first by tackling his costume. I like various ways it has been altered, and so there is a little of different costumes here. I think the dominant colors should be gold and black to work into the energy form. I would have liked to try different effects with colors but haven't had time, so these are quick jobs. I wish I would have spent a longer time on him, so I may do newer drafts later. Wonder Woman: Done similarly to DC2's design, and with a little black like in Frnk Miller's The Dark Knight Strikes Again. Plastic Man: I tried tacklnig him to, but he was more difficult. I stayed with red and blue (originally, I recently found out, Plas' left side of hsi vest was blue, but they took all reprints and colored them in red) but haven't put yellow in yet... I had ideas I didn't get to try out, but I knew he should always be grinning, always jovial. When Plastic Man stops smiling is when you get afraid. And last but not least, this is the Raptor picture from Legacy's micro's work and hsi original group called Godhand. This is how big it was supposed to be (for those of you who see that tiny pictures above, and now in color!). Hope everyone enoys! If you have any comments, constructive or congradulating, or an opinion on what you think would be good on a costume, please by all means post them! Crow

Thanks man! I used photoshop, which is what they taught me how to use in high school. I haven't even seen ms paint or any of those other things. The coloring could have been much better, believe me, and I have plenty of filters to be used that I downloaded. I just wanted to get these on the boards quickly before I went to sleep (which was like 2 in the morning or before) and so I did rush jobs.

And I'll say it again, Happy Birthday! Great stuff, Crow! I really dig your Zauriel and Plastic Man. If you ever have any questions on how to do something in Photoshop this is certainly the place to ask. We've all helped each other learn new coloring tricks. Can't wait to see more!
