Thanks for the kind words, Borize! I was trying to find Steel's voice, and I think I may soon be getting close to it... But I'm not writing Action Comics anymore so... Oops! Hah.

An interesting tale, Charlie. As always, you push the envelope to produce an idea that's outside of the box.
Unfortunately, I think the science was a bit too far from the box.I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt, it being science fiction and all. The main problem I had, though, was you were specific enough to give it a name (chronots or chrono-knots) but not specific enough to know exactly what they are(apart from being just energy). You didn't have to write a science paper about it, but just trying to group it or using an analogy would've helped me with the suspension of disbelief.
The only other comment I could make, is that I think Rip Hunter should have taken John Iron's vocabulary out of the 70s. And that... is not right, you dig? ;D
Apart from that, I say good work!

I liked it. Good story and Joey has been one hell of a retcon from that awful issue way back when. Oh and yes it is coming Superman but which it?

Took me a bit to get into this one but once I did I enjoyed the story. I'm not familiar with the Champion so I felt a little behind the 8-ball. Steel is okay though he's never been one of my favorites. The Rip Hunter appearance I did like.
Superman was a bit of a side player here but in the context of the story it made sense. Will the Champion be used elsewhere?
Something is coming.. could it be a CRISIS, perhaps?

A very enjoyable issue! We've now seen so many versions of Joey... I'm glad we now have a difinitive Joey! May he last longer than the ill-fated 'Friends' spin-off...
But then again... A CRISIS looms...

Interesting premise. But did you just retcon DC2? Already! Or are you just setting up Earth 2?

Great job, Charlie! Excellent wrap up to the story and anytime I get to see John is always a treat. You're work on AC has been exemplary.

Steel of course is one bad mother ....I am just talkin' 'bout Steel! John, hush yo' mouth! I wanted to add my voice to the multitude and say how much I liked this issue. The idea of The Champion is pretty neat and surprisingly novel to my experience: a hero who history has forgotten, indeed, who has forgotten himself! (and then neatly wrapped up and shuffled off into an alternate Earth so as not to clutter our continuity). If we ever expand into an Original Character Universe (ala Wildstorm2), the Champion should be our flagship title! And while I enjoyed the Champion's story, as the coda to Charlie's epic opening run on Action, I wish the story had focused a little more on Superman, instead of it being about someone else. But all-inall, I give this two thumbs up!

You want something centred on Superman? Read Adventures of Superman #10... I guarantee it'll be an issue you won't ever forget... Superman get's his hand broken again!

Still playing catch-up before IXE...
Charlie's last ACTION issue, and he went out with a bang. The whole idea of DC2's in-joke/whipping-boy Joey being a real superhero was great, though I'm surprised you went and made up a new guy, The Champion, when Triumph seems ready-made for the situation. Ah well, minor quibble with a clever notion.
Yes, Irons was a tad ooc here -- some lines made me wince -- but not being a great fan of him no matter how he's written, I'm not the best person to judge.
Best part: Rip Hunter clunking himself in the head so he could remember his timelines correctly! ;D

You'll be seeing more of Rip Hunter in our second year, in a special project mumble mumble and whisper whisper are working on... And you won't want to miss the debut of the villainous mutter mutter!

Oh and yes, I totally realised that Triumph might be a better choice of displaced hero, but then I realised that he is a popular character (with some! WITH SOME!) and I didn't want to ruin anyones chance to one day write him in their books. I have my reasonings, see! And I just really enjoyed writing John like that
