Oh no you didn't! I mean... wow... you did... didn't you! Holy $%#$! That was two jaw droppers that caught me totally off guard. Now that all this shock and awe is over, please keep Lombard. I love that character. ;D
Excellent, and you've got me really waiting on pins and needles for the next issue.

As for Lombard, I'm only on this title for two more issues, so that decision is in the next writer's hands--- but I hope he will keep him, because there is a lot of comic potential there. I modeled him after the character Bill Paxton played in that movie True Lies. Glad you liked it, Brian and Chris!

You've set up probably the best arc of the year so far Dave, using everything you need to really grab a reader, so much to say, so not wanting to spoil it for everyone else... Steve Lombard, introduced to me in Superman vs Amazing Spider-Man (#2), and instantly a classic guy in my eyes. Lana! Yay, this is the Lana of the films, the Lana of the comics, not the Lana of... You know. Smallville. And at last, she got it. She knows. And Dave... Nine years old? You've got me again!

Oh and also, Hub City? Intergang? Check out The Question #4 to fill that blank!

I loved this... I mean I LOVED THIS.
The potential storylines that could spin out of this one issue alone could last the rest of the year. Major shockers and very deep characterizations. Clark has never seemed so human. And you even were able to introduce some characters we haven't seen yet and make them interesting and boy is Superman set up well post-crisis.
Outstanding.

Hey! I thought this was really good! Oh man, when I read Lana's surprise, I expected ol' Clark to faint right on the spot! Superman: (Faints)And I've of Steve Lombard. He was part of the Bronze Age Superman's mythos. When Clark Kent was doing TV news. I have but one humble request...Can Lois visit some physical harm on Steve Lombard? Please?

Thanks, folks! ;D I was really looking forward to writing this arc, and I'm very glad everyone has enjoyed reading it so far! And while this is a new direction for Superman, it also feels very true to his history and mythos as well. But if you liked this issue, then the next two are gonna blow you away...!

Great issue! I loved it, this is a comic I would buy TWICE! Not even sure why, but I'll do it. I can't wait for the next, the only thing that makes it more easy to bear is that there are still two more to go. And that it will be good.
My favorite moment was the first one, with Pa Kent.

Thank you, fellas.
Things are about to get extremely complicated for Clark Kent, as you may well imagine!

Great stuff. The scene with Clark "talking" to his dad is touching for me, being that my dad's passing is coming to it's one year anniversary. Aside from that, everything was awesome. I saw your arc is ending soon, what will you be doing next?

Great stuff. The scene with Clark "talking" to his dad is touching for me, being that my dad's passing is coming to it's one year anniversary. Aside from that, everything was awesome. I saw your arc is ending soon, what will you be doing next? Thanks, Crow (and condolences on your loss). That first scene was a tricky one to write. I was trying not to spoil the end of it, but the cover kinda gives it away upfront. Did anyone think that Clark was actually talking with his father, and not to his headstone? As I said, tricky scene to write! What else am I writing? Well, I am currently also writing the first arc of Justice League (1-3), I'm a contributor to Green Lantern Quarterly, I will be re-debuting JSA in a couple of months, I have an issue of All-Star Comics featuring Zatara the Magician just dying to work itself out of my brain, and I am penning a secret Elseworlds epic (in collaboration with the esteemed Messers HoM and Villalobos) called Gotterdammurung that is promising to be a truly wild ride--- oh, and I've co-plotted the first arc of Shazam! with Batarang, but the writing credit goes all to him (be sure to read it, it's fantastic)! I think that's it...? There's a few other things on the horizon, too, but it's too soon to spoil the surprises (okay, maybe just a quick peek: Omega Men, a Justice League/Justice Society team-up spinning off into a present day JSA series, a return to Hawkman and next year's big event Crisis: The Mastermind Agenda, just to name a few).

I've seen many of us wondering about the Gotterdammurung lol And sounds like a lot of good stuff to come. I'm looking forward to that Zatara and JLA run!

This story was too damn perfect! This is a prime example of what DC2 can be at it's best. Coming in late I won't repeat what's already been said but I will agree with everything about this and I can't wait to check out where this story goes next! Did someone already say perfect? Well it was so I can't help but repeat it!
