Good opener. Nice to see Supes face a supernatural foe for a change. Liked the characterisation, especially Perry (although I was surprised to see Clark repeatedly calling Jimmy "Jim", but I'm by no means a regular reader so I'm probably out of touch with things). Also liked the WWBD line, Superman's comment about magic and, most of all, the Nancy Drew bit.

A change of pace, both for Superman and for Lois. Yes, magic is one of those things that it's hard for Clark to handle, ain't it?
Also liked how the baddie referred to Superman as a "sun spirit".

Thanks for reading and commenting Mark. I didn't set out to give supes a supernatural foe. I was surfing the web came across that legend and thought it would be neat to put it in a story. I suppose I should pay more attention to continuity, I always felt that Clark tries to treat Jimmy more like an adult than anyone else, hence the "Jim" instead of Jimmy. The WWBD may show up as more of a story point later...(Brian-is that the way to do a tease?) Thanks for reading and commenting. A change of pace is good isn't it? Yes, Magic is hard for Clark to handle. You would not believe how hard it is to find words in a Native American language to describe Superman!

Whuh. That. Was. Immense. Bravo, Roy, for making Action Comics everything I didn't!! You taught me everything I know Charlie And lets be serious. I have know where near the, pardon the pun, action you had in action so I have to go subtle. Hopefully I'll build up to it.

Finally got a chance to check this out...
This was an extremely well written tale! The insight into today's Indian culture was well thought out and executed.
I enjoy your take on all of the regular characters in this title, even Lois. The Nancy Drew line was a hoot, as was the WWBD bit.
The Wendigo should prove to be an interesting foe for Superman and the ending was absolutly...chilly!
Top it off with an amazing cover by that "Always-amazing-cover-guy" and I happily give this 5 stars.
