AHH! INTENSE SUPERHERO ACTION!
Everything in this was perfect, apart from what Mercy did to Jimmy. I don't think that would have happened. But the fight was intense, the interaction with Batman was solid, and the characterisation was perfect. I loved the battle, did I say that? Yeah, it was awesome, and that final scene in the new Fortress? AHHH!

Yeah that was a golden age style cover in the best possible sense of the word!
Luthor has snapped. Not only has he finally gone completely crazy, but he's also losing some of his intellectual focus as he goes. The garbage is you, Lex. Kal will resume pounding you, once he deals with the uh....oh yea.....the FREAKING INCOMING KRYPTONIAN METEORITE!!!!!

I rarely comment on story's that I edit, at least publicly, but I do have to say that what Roy is doing in Action is fantastic, and knowing what is coming down the pike this next year, makes all of this even more exciting.
Roy has such a feel for this character, and an obvious love for not only the man with the S, but his supporting cast, that it shines in every scene. I'm very proud to be a part of this adventure with him.
Great job on both cover and story, my friend!

Heh, Lex was all like, "I'm gonna pwn your newb ass now!" And Supes was all like "STFU!" Then everyone else was like, "LAWL!" The best though was the ending where Supes was like "WTF, OMFG!" heh, awesome issue. Good dialog, nice fight scene. And what's going on with Jimmy Olsen is a nice little mystery. Can't wait to see what you do with the MOON of Krypton.

Thanks Brian, and Mr Clown (if that's your real name!) thanks for reading and commenting. I have some big surprises in store for the man with the S. (that's superman)

I've been meaning to dig into Roy's run on Action for a while now, and I had some time the other day while waiting for a plane--- and I was just blown away!
His early efforts on this title were good--- and clearly an indication of bigger and better things to come! I've said it before, but it bears repeating: Roy really "gets" these characters, especially Superman, like no one else around here (including me)! He writes what I want out of a Superman comic. He makes me want to write Superman fan fic.
The tone and atmosphere are just perfect; this is a Superman comic like Cary Bates and Curt Swan did it. Loved Lex's meltdown. Loved the interaction between Lois and Clark. Loved the cliffhanger ending--- can't wait to see where that goes! Loved the cover
One minor grammatical nit-pick: it's Kal-El (not Kal-el)
Can't wait to dig into the next three issues!

So John Henry Irons is the new mayor huh? Interesting!
That was a great scene between Batman and Sups. I loved the fact that Bats was impressed. I was too. What a unique use of Sups powers stringing the binary code together like that.
I wonder why Mercy let Jimmy get away?
The Sups Luthor take on was intense! But just as soon as he is captured, he’s gone. Damn that Luthor!
And now the lost moon of Krypton is on its way to wreck havoc on earth! Crazy stuff. The classic cover was perfect here.
This issue really showed the the ACTION is back and this title is only getting better.
5 stars.
