Kryptonite Kid wasn't bad, I think we may be seeing a new version soon.
The big deal is Luthor. I maintain that DC2 Luthor is crazier than DC2 Joker. Joker knows he's crazy and revels in it. Luthor still has this scrambled notion he's the real good guy. Is he cerating Kon in there??
I'm guessing the "Superman" at the end was Maritan Manhunter. Not sure where the Supes/Lois thing is going, but it will be interesting to find out!

I agree. A nice little story with a villian who may go on to bigger and badder things. I couldn't help but notice the comment about Champion being Metropolis' first hero. If he is back in continuity that would radically change the history of the DC2 again. Flash's history has already been retconned and now Champions return will only muddy the waters again. It usually takes a comicbook company something like ten to twenty years to mess up continuity. It looks like you've done it in less than three.

Thanks for reading and commenting! nope, not Martian Manhunter. the superman was the real thing! hehehehehe Champions return? I didn't bring him back. I didn't even say that anyone remembered him. We, as the readers know he was there, and the characters in the story forgetting about him doesn't make the things he did go away. As I recall the story didn't reset the timeline. There may be a long forgotten statue of him somewhere, who was that guy why can't I remember him? Perhaps one person remembering him sets off a chain reaction and everyone else remembers him. Everybody, say it with me. "I do believe in fairies!" The possibilities are as endless as your imagination! As it should be. If you thought I screwed up continuity with that one line wait till you see what I do next!!!!!!

I enjoyed this, as per usual Roy! I apologize for taking so long to get to it, but I've had a lot of stuff on my plate what with launching a new site, working on various DC2 projects, and, of course, school work, but this was yet another strong issue!
And though I'm not wanting to ruin anything, what if the mention of the Champion's return is more than just a throw away line? What if it's leading to something, and this is the first mention of it? You'll have to wait and see, and keep your ears open for a miniseries coming to the DC2 very soon...

What's Charlie talking about? I sure don't know. :-|
Not a bad issue, it was fun to read.

The Kryptonite Man is in my opinion, one of Superman's less then sexy villains whose DC origin is weak at best in all its incarnations. Of course here you take a simple yet plausible approach and make it work. I am still not a huge fan but you made it enjoyable to see it play out.
The fight scene was intense and was the driving force that made the issue a fun read. But it’s the continuing subplots that have me most interested:
Lex is back and is plotting something big.
The scene between Lois and Clark was intense to say the least. And whats with Clark and Superman being in the same place at the same time? I won't be so quick to guess whats going on here yet.
Another solid cover with an interesting interpretation of a classic villain.
4 stars.
