We interrupt your regularly scheduled Action Comics to bring you a tie in to Zero Hour! Roy, Roy and Brian will be back next month to thrill you, but right now, I'm pleased to introduce you to the terrifyingly talented team of Kevin Feeney and DrDread, bringing you a story I hope you all enjoy!
Please, tell us what you think!

I love it when a writer gives us his take on the Man of Steel, and this was a well done issue. I'm assuming that this took place before the events of last issue and its cliff-hanger.
Very nice use of Jimmy Olson in this, and since I have been reading Zero Hour (though haven't commented on the latest issue yet), it had a nice flow with the main story.
Well done to all. Great cover!

It's a break in the arc. No reason to read into it anymore than how Last Son in Action Comics had the odd fill-in issue as it progressed.
I adored this issue. I think Kevin is on the same level with the handle of Superman and his cast, and it was fun to see him work on the main title, as opposed to DC2 Showcase, where he wrote one of the most pitch perfect Superman stories on the site, right up there with Roy's ongoing depiction (and my other favourite, DrDread's short AoS (I think?) arc), and I think that's high praise to give indeed. It was nice to see, even through the darkness of the Zero Hour effect, the beacon of hope that was Superman. The way the narrative always folded to this concrete statement of how Superman will always fight, never give up, was resounding, and I look forward to see future stories from this creative team!
Now, Roy, on with the show!

I love it when a writer gives us his take on the Man of Steel, and this was a well done issue. Thanks, I appreciate it, Brian. I'm a massive Superman fan (Aren't we all?) so when Charlie asked about doing one Zero Hour tie in, I leapt at the chance! As Charlie has explained, apologies for this coming in at such a wierd time in the arc. Believe me though, I'm waiting as impatiently as everyone else for the conclusion of Roy's excellent arc! Very nice use of Jimmy Olson in this, and since I have been reading Zero Hour (though haven't commented on the latest issue yet), it had a nice flow with the main story. YES! Stover was absolutely the inspiration for the writing style I experimented with for sections of this issue, I'm glad someone was familiar withhim and could pick up on that! Glad you enjoyed it. It is indeed, and I can't agree with it because I think Roy's ongoing depiction has knocked it out of the park far more than I could hope to in every coincievable sense, but thanks for such praise, Charlie! As with the DC2 Showcase story, (Which also stole it's name from a cliché 'Superman' quote ) I was trying to simply explore one particular aspect of Superman without stepping on anyone's toes, so I'm hppy that came through. Thanks to Doc Dread for a great cover of Supes spiralling through the worlds, and many thanks to Roy as well for so graciously allowing this brief interruption of his ongoing run, and I cannot wait for it to continue!
