Not sure about using the Smallville meteor freaks as villains, as they're always so underwhelming "drive"-wise in the show. It should be interesting to see where this goes, regardless. You're doing good stuff with the book, and so I'll withhold my judgement on that until I see a few more issues. I'm not sure what I think of Connor though, yet. I'm ambivalent toward him in the DCUproper, and he hasn't left an impression on me here yet. So we'll see.

A nice little story, eager to see how it unfolds. I've never been a Superboy fan, but maybe that'll change reading Action Comics? Superboy's personality was, to me, a bit flat, though I liked the characterizations of Pete, as well as the Freaks. Eager to see where this story goes.

Not a bad start to this story. I have never seen Smallville, so maybe that works in my favor, enjoying this issue.
Always fun to see Pete and I like the glimpse at a new villain team.
Cover = awesome! Joey Jarin can do no wrong lately!

Just started watching Smallville on dvd, which seems to be coincidental yet apt as I start reading this arc! So I'll have the pleasure of meeting these villains soon in the show? Cool....
As for the story - the villains' was very chilling, and remained so throughout. Superboy's training was interesting, and everything's building up nicely!
