A fitting conclusion to a very exciting arc! Lots of threads coming together with the Toymen going at each other, and it was nice to see the identity of the bobble-headed Toyman revealed... and I'm sure, even though the end of the issue might suggest otherwise, that he'll play an ongoing role in the Action Comics title! Lots of exciting things, completely. Superman not playing by the rules was typical of him, and very cool.
To be honest, I've read this story before. I enjoyed it, don't get me wrong, and the new context it's been placed on top of is awesome (Deathstroke, Toymen, Superman, etc), but the "not playing by the rules is cliche I've read numerous times before.
That being said, I really did enjoy reading the issue, and it's nice to see it wrapped up so nicely. A great final issue for your short run, and I see great things in your future, Pat. Yes, this is Pat's final issue (right now) of Action Comics, and there'll be a new creative team on this title (and Adventures of Superman!!) in January.
Oh, we have plans. Such succulent plans.
