I liked it! A very funny story, and a very tightly written tale! Booster Gold is a what? We should have had POWERS, INC TIE IN running along the bottom! But that... Would make people not read it

Total riot. What a great Plastic Man story should be, full of zany hijinks and tons of pop culture references. The "Elongated Man" running gag was hilarious.
Hope Plas makes it into the JLA . You gotta have good comic relief characters, and you can't beat Plas for that. A fun, entertaining read.

Great story. Especially liked the Elongated Man running gag, the Marvel riffs and the Melanie Griffith's reference. Was that Doctor named after who I thought she was?

wow, glad you guys liked it, albeit a bit surprised. This was my fourth version of this story and I never cared for any of them. lol Mark, not sure which doctor you are referring too. Dr. Marcum is one letter away from Marcus (as in Carol Marcus) and Dr. Odom is an anagram for a certain Marvel baddie. Again, really glad you enjoyed it, but not sure what that says about your taste in fanfics.

Wow! This was a really, really fun read! It had humour, and...well, humour...and, it was funny, and...well...it was just good! Great job, Brian!

Lots of cool stuff in this issue! I'm not a big Plastic Man fan (other than his much-lamented cartoon from the 80s), but I loved him in this issue! The humor was spot on and gentle enough to appeal to all ages (as Plas should), and the Woozy Winks connection, father and son was a great (and bittersweet) touch. Also, this is a nice "sequel" to Powers, Inc #1, and a great explanation of why Plas isn't on the team after that first issue. After this issue, is anyone else clamoring for a Plastic Man/Elongated Man team-up?
BTW, I gotta know, is the opening line a nod to that classic X-Men Chris Claremont issue (and recently revisted in Astonishing #1) where Kitty Pryde, kicked off the team, whirls to the reader and declares "Professor X is a jerk!"? I bought that issue off the stands, and still have it somewhere....

Thanks Apprentice, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Writing humor is not my forte' so I'm glad it came across as funny. Thank you as well Idle! I'm glad I could give you a Plastic Man that you enjoyed. The Woozy and Woozy Jr. came from the discussions in the writers workshop, the ending between DP and Woozy Sr. came during a moment of reflection on the recent loss of my buddy. I actually removed that and then put it back in twice before deciding to keep it. And YES! The first line is from Uncanny X-Men #168. Nice catch, I honestly believed that you were a DC blue blood, but I see there's a touch of Marvel in there somewhere. Also a huge thanks to Ramon for his insight and help on the Powers Inc/Plastic Man issue's that I had. The man really is a genius folks! thanks again!

Bravo!Bravo! I loved the cover Kevin. It captured the essence of the character and the story perfectly! I have to admit that I wasn't expecting Plastic Man to work in a prose only story. I have to admit that I never liked Plastic Man all that much. His membership in the Justice League always distracted me from the story. With all that said I have to say that I really enjoyed this story a lot. You said that writing humor wasn't your forte which is surprising. You managed to strike the perfect balance between witty and silly. Thank you for making me enjoy a story about a character I was determined to dislike forever! I look forward to you tackling Plastic Man again. I even have an idea for your next story: Plastic Man's wife is murdered leading to a big whodunit tale where it's discovered she was she was violated in her past all leading up to the murderer being revealed as the wife of one of their own who acted completely out of character leaving the readers cold and disconnected! OK scrap the whole idea. Fan-fic has a bad enough reputation as it is. We are much to classy to do something like that. That would be as bad as telling a company wide crossover and forcing the readers to pick up a book they normally wouldn't read just to find that the earth shattering event really doesn't change a damn thing in the end! Whats that you say? OOPS!

Glad you liked it Roman. My next Plastic Man will probably be...oh...never. LOL! I found him very difficult to write and really don't want to go through that again. Although I guess, "never say never". Some interesting idea's there! Don't know why they sound so familiar... And the cover was incredible, wasn't it! Kevin PM'd me one day and said "is this what you're looking for?" and my jaw dropped onto my desk. It was perfect. Thanks Kevin!

Thanks for the kind words. I really had a blast drawing Plas. He is a great character to draw and I look forward to the opportunity to draw him again sometime! Once again I wanted to say that I really enjoyed this issue! ;D
