Excellent job, Grant. I love the way you brought out the inner thoughts of each character, individually. It was well written and well done. Looks like things are about to hit the fan with Batman and Ra's! And Batman and Joker! And Batman and James Gordon! Geez, what a messed up place Gotham is, at the moment. 5 stars for the story, and another 5 for such a brilliant cover!

This and DET are my fav comics on the site because we are seeing Batman written properly. And I love that the villians are real people. The nod that Two-face knows he is crazy was nice. Dunno why but I guess I just like a subtle bit of physchological insight. And I just love Batman in this issue. He's at his most obbssessed. Not a hint of Bats in this issue except when around Tim which was a stroke of genius. Also Bats was getting a bit happy being so malicious with the Leaguers....is this wicked streak a sign of things to come. Maybe its me overthinking it but it seems Brucey is losing it a little.
5 stars. Awesome issue.

This is turning out to be the best damn Batman epic so far!
That opening conversation between Batman and Gordon made so much sense (and, I must admit, nudged me a little into the Miller camp--- but only a little), so much so that I wonder why I've never seen it (or something like it) before elsewhere! Admittedly, I'm not that well-read on Batman, but this quick, effificent origin of the "relationship" was very well done!
The changes of POV were very effective in this issue, with everyone in great character--- especially Alfred! I loved the remark about Heaven helping any wrong-doers down-wind of Bruce, who'd been in his costume for two days...! Seems like that's the kind of stuff we never see...
This story continues to ramp up, and I just know next issue is going to blow us all away! The pacing and flashbacks have all blended nicely, and created a terrific overall story I am very much looking forward to seeing play out. And now with Talia on the scene...
You know, it just occurred to me, what with all the Holmes analogies, that Talia is Irene Adler! She does the same thing to Bruce that Irene did to Holmes... I think Bruce even refers to her as "that Woman"...!
Really enjoying this story!
And that cover is just mad, wild ker-razy! Love it! One of Ramon's (growing list) of best-ofs!
Five stars, fellas!

Oh! I forgot to mention that the teaser images were too cool, and, as I reader, I really appreciated them! I sense that a new era of greatness for the DC2's Batman titles is on the horizon--- looks like there is some fun stuff coming! A new Robin! A grim and gritty "red" Dark Knight, and a return of the Silver Age costume (YES!)--- bring it on, fellas!

This was just the warm up! Is Bruce losing it? Hmmmm. Well, who can tell really? Bruce is always a little off the beaten path! LOL. Seriously, the stress of what is happening in Gotham is starting to catch up to Bruce. He is, to my view, extremely obsessed to begin with. This situation isn't helping that at all. As for Two Face...yeah he is always of two minds about things, so to speak. So part of him, at least, recognizes he is as crazy as crap house rat.

This is turning out to be the best damn Batman epic so far! Thanks dude! We're trying! Ah, soon you will be one of us! MUAHAHAHA! Thanks. I think Gordon is often (outside of some of Miller's stuff and some of O'Neil's stuff) written as a passive character. I much prefer the active Gordon who is just as much a crime fighter as Batman...only he wears a badge and plays by the rules. Thanks man! I try to flesh out these characters as much as I can, and sometimes its the goofy little things that do the trick. And X gets the square. Talia is indeed Bruce's Irene. Just like Irene was Sherlock's female equal so Talia is Bruce's. HUGE props go to Ramon for the cover. Its just fantastic.

Very well done issue. The changes in POV and the flashbacks intertwined with the present was very well done and easy to follow.
My only complaint is the coomplete resistance to Batman bringing in a few Justice League companions. Just the Flash alone would be a tremendous help to him and could most likely stay out of Ra's notice.
Overall, the storyline running here (and in 'Tec) has been excellent.
