This story was disturbing. I'm just throwing that out there. In the epic hunt for Batman, Robin seems so haggered and Jason seems genuinely crazy. I don't there can be much said about this issue because it was pretty simple, but it was very powerful. I'm curious how Dick survived, but I thought that was a very Batman thing to do.
Also, kudos on your writing of Croc. He was funny to me in a way. Like when Freddy Kruger makes a joke before he slashes someone.
Gun-Moll seems like a weird but interesting character, and Black Mask and Flesh-Monger were particularly disturbing this issue. I look forward to the next issue... which is in two weeks! Nice!

This story was disturbing. I'm just throwing that out there. Brilliant, that does seem to be what I'm good at. In the epic hunt for Batman, Robin seems so haggered and Jason seems genuinely crazy. Yeah, it's fun to write all these characters being pushed to their limits-- Tim has lost so much, and he doesn't want to lose anyone else, Jason is going down hill very quickly, taking his sanity with him. Next issue it all comes to a head, and, depending on timing before the next arc, we might see a Special or Annual, but that's only if I can wrap my head around what needs to be done... I don't there can be much said about this issue because it was pretty simple, but it was very powerful. I really struggled to write this issue-- I built up a lot of steam on Batman, that's why we're biweekly, but when I reached this issue, I paused, and finished DC2 Nemesis, and started other projects. When I came back to it... yeah, "simple" is being quite kind of you, sir. I was worried the prose only did what was required of it-- and nothing else. But if you're impressed... phew! I'm curious how Dick survived, but I thought that was a very Batman thing to do. Oh, it's going to be brilliant. Next issue--!! Also, kudos on your writing of Croc. He was funny to me in a way. Like when Freddy Kruger makes a joke before he slashes someone. I'm bringing threads from earlier Batman and Detective Comics issues to a head in this arc... it all ties together! It all makes sense!! Gun-Moll seems like a weird but interesting character, and Black Mask and Flesh-Monger were particularly disturbing this issue. I look forward to the next issue... which is in two weeks! Nice! -D.L. Mann Black Mask and Flesh-Monger crossover into Detective Comics starting last month, and continuing this month, and it's going to be a corker, and Gun-Moll, Boss Synth, The Prince of Lies and all the other new characters we've debut are going to be very important to the future of the Bat-Books! Thanks for taking the time, mate!

Great job with this. Really kind of short, but what you did, packed a lot of emotional and physical trauma into it. Excellent job!
And the second half of that cover is even better than the first! (Mostly because it has Penguin in it - and I loves me my Penguin!)
5 well deserved starts!
