That was awesome! Lots of excitement in this one with Nekron finally showing up. And I'd be surprised if I was the only one thinking "GO FUTURE WALLY!" in that Flash scene...took me a minute to figure out who Barry was talking to and then of course when he adressed him as Uncle Barry all was revealed. Pretty sweet. Things look very very bad for Earth right now and Wonder Woman's either dead or "dead" which is bad either way.
Another awesome issue Charlie and another great cover! Can't wait to see the closing next parts of this story and how it ends. Should be cool.

WOW. 'Nemesis' is what every comics epic wants to be, strives to be, but never can be. Multi-layered and complex without being convoluted (Bye bye, Final Crisis), giving characters and plots the time they deserve (Look, it just beat Infinite Crisis!), with a real apocalyptic feeling (Just surpassed Secret Invasion), a real distinct voice for each character, even the cameos (Just sailed past Civil War) and a real sense of SCALE- that this genuinely matters! That the DC2U will never be the same again. I have to focus here on the scene changing- it seems to me to be what Final Crisis should have been, with so many interlocing plots swapping in and out without confusion! I'm completely biased of course, but I loved the Flash scene to death. Seeing Wally and Barry interact like that was a bit of a nerdgasm, and the idea of a relay race through time is just a brilliant, Morrison-esque one! The scene with Kirk and Batman? Wow. What a way to show Nekron's power. As a character, I've generally found him, a bit flat- but he works here, because, well, it feels like its the end of the world. It's all over- and he is the ultimate evil. My only question is- how the hell can this series top this? This is my favourite issue of yours on anything yet, Charlie- and I seem to be saying that about too much of your stuff these days! If I had to pick out a problem- and you know I do! - it might be that the end of the issue doesn't feel all THAT much further on from the last one- yes, we're even MORE screwed than ever, but there was no really huge, radical development. Not that there's anything wrong with progression over revolution, but I needed something to pick on, darnit. The covers of DC2 Nemesis also deserve special mention as creepy, interesting and INCREDIBLY eye-catching- honestly, some of the nicest work I've seen on the site from any artist. Also- as you know, Charlie, I've read next issue already. Everybody, I can't say anything, but strap yourselves in.

Complete kudos to Don Walsh for the "Cosmic Relay Race" concept, as it was his brilliant idea that basically shaped that scene! I've said it once, and I'll say it again, without Don, Nemesis wouldn't be what it is today without him, and I'll always be grateful for his help. And yes. Wally I didn't want to spoil it straight away, and had to rewrite the scene a few times, but I was so pleased when I settled on that parting word.... Things look very very bad for Earth right now and Wonder Woman's either dead or "dead" which is bad either way. Yeah, things are looking grim...! God knows I hate Wonder Woman... Another awesome issue Charlie and another great cover! Can't wait to see the closing next parts of this story and how it ends. Should be cool. Thanks for taking the time, Pat! Ramon is brilliant, and like I've said so many times before, collaborating with him is always a brilliant experience!

Dagon, put your hemet on and go oustide!! I know, right? Nice Tara-Gar interaction-- I'm just building on what's come before, and their interaction-- however one sided this time round-- always feels quite natural. Good work, Jay!! --nice Hawkman save. Have I mentioned how much I enjoy Zauriel? Zauriel and Jason Todd seem to be the breakout stars of this event, and I hope to keep their momentum going after the series ends...! Surely you must mean Wally, right

WOW. 'Nemesis' is what every comics epic wants to be, strives to be, but never can be. Where's the blush smiley!? Dammit... Ah, I'll thank you for it, but I don't think I can agree on all your compliments, because, honestly, come on... but thanks Kevin. Sincerely. I have to focus here on the scene changing- it seems to me to be what Final Crisis should have been, with so many interlocing plots swapping in and out without confusion! It's because I panic like a lunatic and keep going back and revising scenes to fit in with things I write later on. Dammit, Kevin, you're making me reveal my trade secrets... "panic" and "adrenaline". I'm completely biased of course, but I loved the Flash scene to death. Seeing Wally and Barry interact like that was a bit of a nerdgasm, and the idea of a relay race through time is just a brilliant, Morrison-esque one! Like I said before, that was Don's gem of an idea, and it really makes that scene work. Originally, there was going to be another speedster instead of Wally, but for reasons not for me to reveal, that speedster was disregarded. Instead, I wanted to do what I always do, and up the ante with some Wally and Barry interaction Does that count as a spoiler? Wally-lives-to-be-older? The scene with Kirk and Batman? Wow. What a way to show Nekron's power. As a character, I've generally found him, a bit flat- but he works here, because, well, it feels like its the end of the world. It's all over- and he is the ultimate evil. Nekron is fun to write, as he's this titanic threat... but he's so far away, and still-- still!-- he's causing people to be twisted inside out by sheer force of his evil will. I love the implications of that. My only question is- how the hell can this series top this? This is my favourite issue of yours on anything yet, Charlie- and I seem to be saying that about too much of your stuff these days! Thanks, Kevin. With peers like yourself, it's always a challenge to better one self in such an environment. NOW GET ME THE FLASH. Yeah, the ending was something I was concerned about, but it leads into something big next issue... well, everything leads into something bigger next issue, so we'll see how that ends up. Eep. The covers of DC2 Nemesis also deserve special mention as creepy, interesting and INCREDIBLY eye-catching- honestly, some of the nicest work I've seen on the site from any artist. Ramon rocks. 'Nuff said. Also- as you know, Charlie, I've read next issue already. Everybody, I can't say anything, but strap yourselves in. ;D

Another rocking issue! I am enjoying this story more and more with each new installment, and it really hit its stride with this issue.
From Wonder Woman's comment on Mr. Miracle's appearance to the mysterious stranger at the speedster cosmic relay to the summoning of the world-wide Justice League ("You are all the Justice League..." had me smiling and pumping my fist ;D), this was a fast, thrilling read that left me wanting the next chapter in a hurry!
Awesome cliffhanger, too! Wonder Woman has kinda been the rock of the League and Nekron has taken her out...?!?
Nice cover, Ramon. Maybe you could be bothered to stop by every once in a while and say hi?
Five stars, gentlemen!

Another rocking issue! I am enjoying this story more and more with each new installment, and it really hit its stride with this issue. I'm glad you thought so! I was really pleased with how this issue turned out, and I'm looking forward for Chapter Six to see the light of day very soon. The three final chapters come out next month, Six, Ascension and Seven, all vital, two complete, one started. Ascension is going to be an experiment on my part, so, umm, beware. From Wonder Woman's comment on Mr. Miracle's appearance to the mysterious stranger at the speedster cosmic relay... The New Gods were going to play a larger role in the series but with Final Crisis so fresh in peoples' minds, and me not wanting to full retread every single idea Grant Morrison ever threw out into the world, they had to go, and as such, the "Twilight of the New Gods" one-shot Kevin and I were planning has been cancelled, and I'm very sadenned that the cover DrDread worked up won't be used for this series. However, because we didn't want to short change them here, the New Gods will play a huge role in an event we're working toward over the next year or so. Hee-hee. ...to the summoning of the world-wide Justice League ("You are all the Justice League..." had me smiling and pumping my fist ;D), this was a fast, thrilling read that left me wanting the next chapter in a hurry! " You are all the Justice League" was a line I had to insert into this event, because it was based on a line I pitched all those years back when we did " Justuce League Vs. America" (I still absolutely adore that title), but didn't get used. I don't want to reveal what the original line was, as I intend to use it down the line in a different context, but it was a little thing like that, thematically, that link the events together. In my mind, at least. Awesome cliffhanger, too! Wonder Woman has kinda been the rock of the League and Nekron has taken her out...?!? Wonder Woman... and the entirety of the Justice League present at the end of that scene... well... umm... read next issue. They're going to need some kind of miracle to get up after that. /shameless tease. Thanks for taking the time, Dave! Always appreciate hearing from you.

I'm so embarrassed on how far behind I am on everything, and this is probably top of my list.
This story rocks, rolls, and takes no prisoners! The best installment yet with a cover that is just as chilling as the story, itsself.
And that ending... crap! You had me saying no, no, no, with Aquaman!

I'm so embarrassed on how far behind I am on everything, and this is probably top of my list. And look how far behind I am in replying to your feedback? S'all good This story rocks, rolls, and takes no prisoners! The best installment yet with a cover that is just as chilling as the story, itself. Thanks for your kind words, my friend. It was a great project to work on. And that ending... crap! You had me saying no, no, no, with Aquaman! And rightly so, too. Glad that moment captured your imagination as it was intended to
