That was... Intense. Fantastic story, great ending, and the poor guy! I guess this means I'll be reading Legion then... *grumbles*

Scott, this was outstanding. Great pace and very emotional. You got me caring about a character that I had no prior investiment in. Excellent job, sir!

Okay, I'll admit it: before this mini, I didn't even know a GL called Vidar existed. I decided to test out the first issue, however, out of interest and love for all things GL (especially the DC2's own TGLC) and was pleasantly surprised. No, actually, surprised is too weak a word. I was blown away. The second issue was even better. I actually started to sympathise with Vidar, and felt like I knew him as a character already! This issue was extremely intense and emotional. I can't believe Vidar died just as I got to love him! If the DCU's Vidar was this cool, I'd buy every single book that had him in it. Seriously, an excellent read.
Five stars. *****

Apprentice... Vidar's dead? Who said VIDAR was dead? Someone killed VIDAR???
All I have to say Apprentice is this: Read DC2's who's who book coming soon for interesting insight to Mr. VIDAR.
To everyone else, thank you so much for the praise! You've all made me smile more in the last 2 days than I have in a month!
I wrote this story because I felt that Vidar deserved a better origin than the one presented in the DCU. He is a great character, conceptually, that never received decent treatment. What would drive a character to abandon his life as GL? What would make him do the things he was (is?) destined to do? What would I do if I had the power he posessed & something like this happened? It was an odd exploration into the character & into my own psyche... is that odd?
There's a little bit of me in all the characters I write (especially the Green Lantern's). For Hal, it's his dry sense of humor (which will become more evident soon), for Guy it's the desire for more & the feeling that things never quite go his way, for Vidar it's all emotion and the sense that you know what you're doing is right and the feeling that those in charge NEVER listen to you. There are things happening in these issues that will be felt in the 31st century.
If you liked this...
READ LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES!
Hopefully you will not be disappointed!

That was a frakking great story. ;D Aside from the Titans/LSH team-up special years ago, I've never read a story with Vidar in it. You did a superb job setting up both Vidar and the 30th century in general. And I'm glad to see Ganthet's still kickin' it a thousand years from now! He's like Yoda with a ponytail, I love him!

Very interesting! I really like how you actually show us why Green Lanterns were banned from the UP, rather than just stating it in passing as was done in the original DCU Legion. As others have stated, the details are nice. Honolulu being a historic 'shrine' like Williamsburg VA for us. The section of the island devoted to older periods in Hawai'ian history. I felt sorry for Vidar at the end... All he went through, and then to get cut off by the Guardians. (One thing I've always wondered about the GL Corps and the Guardians. Are they truly universal i.e. multi galactic? Or is the Universal appellation just a hangover from when we thought all there was to the universe was the Milky Way? I assume that DC can't use Guardians of the Galaxy or Galactic Guardians because those are Marvel trademarks? (I don't follow the GL titles much in the main DCU, but will be exploring more here in DC2.)) I did notice some homonym typos, esp. in the 2nd part. Their instead of they're, site instead of sight.

Sorry about the Typos Cat, with my new Editor I doubt it will be happening again! Not to mention I've gotten better at catching those little slip ups over the years. I'm glad you enjoyed it though!
