Wow. I am truly excited. Geoff Johns' JSA is the best book on the stands. This is very easily # 2. I loved it. The mix of old and new is a JSA staple. High praise, indeed! Thanks for the enthusiasm, Jay! I'm glad you like where I'm going with this title. Yeah, about that... My promise to the readers: I will at no point retcon any event via a deal with the devil or a Superboy punch. Rick is going to be a fascinating character to watch--- the superhero gig is not something he's ever considered or prepared for. Will he step into his father's shoes? And if so, will he fall on his face (and who will be there to pick him up)? Well, then , the next two issues should be pretty fun for you...! Lots of rampaging superbaddies--- and one major smackdown! I'm glad you're here, too! Thanks for reading, and for the feedback!

Welcome back Dave! It seems like we've been hearing about the debut of this title for a year now. But in reality it seemed more like two years. But to have Jim grace the issue with such a stunning cover made it worth while. The interior art was a bonus and a pleasant surprise! It's nice to see you back sir! The opening was so cool I could have read an entire issue with the Society. I especially liked the fact that after appearing in Green Lantern last year, The Wizard finally has gotten back to work. It was also interesting to see Tigress after her short stint on the Suicide Squad last year as well. The fact that you are such a continuity hound and seamlessly fit in those characters was...wait you mean you didn't even realize....fine! Whatever! Lets continue then shall we? As to be expected the writing was top notch and no one seems to write these characters better then you. The opening scene in Washington was a nice tie in to previous events as was seeing the story from the All-Star Annual carried over as well with Jessie Quick, Jo Pratt, and the other kids. Did I say somewhere above that I was happy to see Artemis again in the DC2? Well now I am shocked and ticked off because of....well you know! Seeing Rick Tyler is a treat because I have always liked Hourman. I am equally as giddy with the potential that the new line-up offers. Of course if they survive the deadly attacks of the Society that is! And if the issue wasn't cool enough you go and introduce a new Starman? Who do you think you are Geoff Johns? ;D Hands down one of the easiest 5 star ratings I have given in a long time!

Welcome back Dave! It seems like we've been hearing about the debut of this title for a year now. But in reality it seemed more like two years. Thanks for your patience, John, and enthusiasm for the title! Believe it or not, I've wanted to write this series since before Day One at the DC2--- in fact, it's precisely because someone told me I couldn't that I created the DC2! Well, it's taken me a while to get to it, but I'd say we showed him! Jim is a big part of why this title is so special. I am extremely lucky to have him onboard with me! You do love you some villains! Cooling his heels in Alcatraz... or bidding his time...? Ummm... Oops ! I can thank dumb luck for not inviting a continuity gaffe, and I will run straight to the issues... Which ones were they? Why, thank you, Mr. Elbe! Your opnion is as excellent as your taste in fan fiction! And how 'bout that shout-out to the Global Guardians and Checkmate? Nor have we seen the last of Artemis Crock! LOL! I have a lot of respect for the type of work Johns does--- I think he calls his style: "neo-iconic", and this is a sensibility we share. Rick Tyler and the new Starman will most definately have an impact on this title, going forward! Thanks, John! I appreciate the feedback! D.

Good on you then! But isn't there a saying about how holding a grudge is like drinking poison and hoping the other person dies? Jim is one of my personal favorites and its a treat to have him back! Glad I could help you out then. She appeared but briefly in SS #12. If I knew how cool she could be then I would have used her more! Well I was going to mention that and thank you for that but then I figured people might notice that neither book has returned...yet! Kind of like the The Immortal Legend of Hawkman or JSA: Legends of the Golden Age! Can't wait for the next issue!

Good on you then! But isn't there a saying about how holding a grudge is like drinking poison and hoping the other person dies? There may be... But the person that said that was never in business! Ouch! ;D I think we can probably consider The Immortal Legend of Hawkman a self-contained 2-part origin mini (with a Zero Issue pre-origin) all wrapped up. That story stands on its own pretty well. I definately have more Golden Age Hawkman stories to tell, but perhaps in a different format. As for JSA: Legends of the Golden Age--- stayed tuned for an announcement soon... ish! In a relative sense...

FYI, folks! In order to give you, our faithful and beloved readers, the best work possible, Jim and I have decided to push back Justice Society of America #2 until next week. We regret whatever inconvenience or disappointment this may cause, but we'd rather give you a quality product over a timely one . Look for the next issue on Wednesday, March 12th! Thanks! David

Thanks, Jaimie!
The nice thing about "playing catch-up" is the instant gratification: you don't have to wait a month for the next issue! Its like getting the trade instead of the floppies...
I am really proud of this first JSA arc. In fact, there are still moments building from this first issue.

I love the JSA and I love this different take on the team! I love the writing, art, and even the secret file at the end! And I love this feedback! Thanks for reading, hpwhiz! Hope you enjoy the rest of the issues, sir. (Also, I moved your feedback into the JSA Lettercol, hope you don't mind!)
