That cover is brilliant! Really dynamic, and you can feel the energy bristling between the two characters. Go, Hawkman! GO!

So we've moved away from the "Welcome to Earth-2" portion of the story and into the part where everything hits the fan. Very cool.
I'm glad to see the All-Stars return. Frankly, I missed their co-feature, and now they're back and getting things done. I like it.
I also think i'm finally hooked into the Black Shazam mystery. That's cool.
My only complaint is that the villains don't seem to be too terribly interesting. Don't get me wrong, I like them Parallax, Black Shaz and Evil Marvel, but they just seem to be acting like "I will take over!" or "I am evil! Grr! Arrgg!" But that's not too important.
Overall, a fun change of pace. As always, i'll be back next month.

Frankly, I missed their co-feature, and now they're back and getting things done. I like it. Thanks, UDC! A few others have been calling for the return of the Young All-Stars, and this was always the point in the story I knew I would be bringing them back. They will be around for the last two installments of this arc, will feature prominently in Justice Society of America Annual #1 (coming out in January), and then return to their co-feature with #14 and a trip to a strange land called Bahdnesia! If it was going to happen, this issue was my last shot to do it --- because next issue, the Young All-Stars are hip-deep in it! Well, Black Shazam is pretty much the same character as the old wizard of Earth-One (which will become more clear next issue), only corrupted by great power and his struggle against the Seven Deadly Enemies of Man. He's not deep. Parallax, on the other hand, is a bit more complex. I've been dropping clues all over the place about this (not that I expect anyone to guess his secret, as the reader simply does not have the background information--- though I imagine a particularly astute and JSA-savvy reader might put together a good guess); let's just say Parallax gets a whole lot more interesting the next two issues. (In the meantime, if you are so inclined, I would recommend you go back and re-read the scene at the Anti-Monitor's fortress--- you may be missing something Thank you, sir! I very much appreciate you reading and the feedback!

When I gave Alex my thoughts for the cover, I wasn't sure it could be done the way I was imagining. In the end, it wasnt: he actually did it so much better. I hope everybody else enjoys this top-notch piece as much as I do!

Another top-notch issue in this epic story. Black Shazam has gotten a whole lot more interesting (especially with the ending). Hawkman was a total badass and I'm thrilled to see the return if the All-Stars. Things are picking up and can't wait for the next issue.

Black Shazam does get more screen-time in this issue--- and more next issue as the Siege of the Rock of Eternity continues! And now that he has the Artifacts of Fate, he'll be even more dangerous! Hawkman is indeed a total badass. Let's hope he and the others survived the blast of Captain Marvel's magic lightning... Two more chapters to go. Next issue, things heat up on Earths-One and Two (not to mention some big revelations)! Thanks for the feedback, partner!

Looks to me like this event is coming together in a spectacular fashion! Black Shazam finally gets some face time, and I adore it. Every word out of his mouth is a sheer beautiful, sinister-ism, and his machinations across Earth-One are terrifying to behold. We're finally seeing the villain, and he's becoming much more fleshed out than the issues before. Glad you're rectifying one of the very few weaknesses of this tale!
Captain Marvel versus Hawkman was a great fight-- but in my eyes it would have been much more one-sided. It's like saying Hawkman could have stood up to Superman-- something I don't see happening. That moment ruined the verisimilitude of the fight for me. Captain Marvel is one of the most powerful heroes on Earth, and whilst Hawkman is the ultimate badass, no disputing it, he shouldn't have lasted as long as he did. Argh, that's the Fanboy in me playing up, but yeah, I stand by it, no matter how much experience the Winged Wonder has in that head of his!
The Earth-Two moments were great. In the eye of the storm, we're getting some wonderfully sublime character moments-- when teammates are reunited, with Barry Allen, with everything, things just seem to be slotting together and settling into place. Can't wait for all these pieces to finally come together for the conclusion!
The art in this issue was just as good as the words-- Alex's cover truly did impress, there was such a kinetic feeling of action in there, and Brandon's Captain Marvel was fantastic! God, it inspires one to write the Mightiest Mortal, I have to say. But alas...
Two issues left? I look forward to it muchly! See you in 30...?

Looks to me like this event is coming together in a spectacular fashion! Thanks, Charlie! I'm not sure if I would consider this storyline an event, per se, but if it feels like one, I guess that can't be bad! Sweet! As I mentioned above, this was my last opportunity to make that happen--- from now on, events are going to move too fast for anything other than ass-kicking and name-taking! I think my reputation as a Hawkfan precedes me! I can see where you'd think Hawkman comes across better than you think he might, but if you look at the fight closely, you'll see he does Cap very little harm and actually gets his ass handed to him. He does get one good shot in at the end, but really all Carter does is distract Cap--- at best! If not for the timely intervention of the Young All-Stars, his goose might have been cooked! That was a fun scene to write, and it gives us just a peek at the larger backstory of the Crisis on Infinite Earths that Brandon and I are concocting (coming soon on the DC3 ;D), and that this arc is a kind-of unofficial sequel to (I say kind-of/unofficial because there is an actual Omega Crisis that will evolve from the Alpha Crisis, and this arc is really just tying up some loose ends from the hitherto unseen first one). But the pieces will all be in place (mostly) by the end of next issue--- just in time for the explosive finale in issue #13! Yep! Some fantastic contributions from an increasingly awesome JSA cover artist (and Detective Comics writer) Alex Vasquez and Earth-Two Conceptualizer/Envisionator Brandon Herren. I know Cap isn't a E2 character (as there has never been a Captain Marvel on E2), but our Cap is signficantly influenced by E2's Black Shazam, so it counts! Of course, this just means as Brandon has contributed E2 art to every issue of this arc, we should see something for the next two issues, right... ? Thanks, Charlie! Appreciate the feedback.

I got done reading this and had to catch my breath. Your battle scene's are awe inspiring. Very easy to visualize, and easy to get sucked into.
The whole battle with Hawkman and Captain Marvel was well done. Then when the others joined the fray... WOW!
As always, though, it's those little things that I notice in the middle of these epic moments that intrigue (and tickle) me. For instance:
Loved Sandman in this. He's stepped forward as a leader, something of which is not normal for him, and it's nice to see. He's an original and deserves that spot, if only for a brief moment.
Corrigan... I'm already itching to find out what is going to happen to him after this is all over!
Your nod to our Barry Allen and his recent tribulations was very brief, but packed an emotional punch that reminded us of how different the two Allen's lives have been. Well done!
Bruce came back! Yay!!!!
And through it all I'm dying to know who's behind the curtain, pulling these strings?!?! I've got three different scenario's running through my head, but knowing you, Sir, you're going to surprise the hell out of me... and I can't wait!!!
Great cover, story keep rocking. Really a privlidge to read this epic.
Oh, and my favorite line: “Keep it together, jockstrap,” ;D

In preparing the next issue of JSA for posting tonight, I realized I never responded to this feedback from last issue! And whenever someone takes the time to let me know what they thought, I feel I owe it to them to acknowledge their feedback, so without further ado... I got done reading this and had to catch my breath. Your battle scene's are awe inspiring. Very easy to visualize, and easy to get sucked into. The whole battle with Hawkman and Captain Marvel was well done. Then when the others joined the fray... WOW! Thanks, Brian! Captain Marvel is a threat non-pareil, and he isn't necessarily down for the count, either. Wes Dodds is my favorite JSAer behind Hawkman, and while he prefers a different approach, he had no choice but to step up and lead the Young All-Stars. Can he and the others really take the Rock of Eternity? That storyline has been brewing since JSA #1--- Where are Kent and Inza Nelson, and what happened to the Spectre? You may just get some more information in JSA Annual #1, out in January. Indeed! Every good Crisis story is also a good Flash story--- for better or worse ( )! Tomorrow's issue may shed a little more light on that (not to mention the fantastic Flash cover by Alex Vasquez ;D). Of course. But wait until Selina gets a hold of him. Then you will be very interested in the shocking revelation at the end of tomorrow's new issue ...! Alex really dialled it up to 11 this time, with that Hawkman/Captain Marvel fight scene! And of course, we were thrilled to have KSM's rendition of "Dark Marvel", too! That Tigress is a smart-mouth. She must get it from her father . Thanks for reading, Brian, and for the feedback! (Sorry it took me so long to repond!)
