I didn't know what to expect from this story. I'm not naturally a fan for the LoSH, but Scott loves them, so I knew he'd give them the best he could... I found it hard to read. It didn't grab me like his Tales of the Green Lantern Corps book did, and I found it to be a slow burner, but that didn't stop me from thinking how interesting a story it was... I'll stick around, but Issue One better have someone suffer a Dirty Dibny!

About 3 million people in the opening scene get the 'DD'.

Well, to counterpoint... neither was poor Sue.
Seriously though, I'm glad you'll stick around for issue #1. Where this one was the obligatory origin issue, the next ish is far different in tone. Issue #1 is set two years later. The Legion has been active for 2 years and recently 'lost', not dead, just 'lost' their leader. The world is not the hopeful place it was set up to be in issue #0. And things get worse from there.

I ended up enjoying this more then I thought I would! Not because of the writer (who has always impressed me), but because I haven't ever been a huge fan of the LoSH's. This could definately turn me into a huge fan. June can't get here fast enough, now. Great job!

Wow. I only started learning about the Legion recently but I really liked this. The beginning was a little weird but otherwise I really like a good-ole fashioned origin story. I really enjoyed this! Looking forward to June.

I loved this! As a rookie fan of the LoSH and a big Cos fan, I loved seeing their origin and seeing my favourite Legion characters being featured prominently! The cover was also exceptional. Great work as usual!

Finally, we have the Legion! Seems like I've been waiting forever for this book, but it was worth the wait. Subtle differences from previous LSH origins, but still a lot of what we know and love. And I like what Imra's reading (or trying to read) -- any chance of a "Dick Tracy Grayson" special so we can see how badly they misremember our history? ;D

I might, but it probably won't be for a while. I am very glad you enjoyed it! Stay tuned for issue #1 in July... it's going to be a rough ride for our heroes!

Cool stuff. Familiar characters are introduced and set-up well to become a very notable super group. I hope we get to see more Legionairres in the future (Brainiac 5, Invisible Kid, NOT Bouncing Boy, etc.)

Welcome UDC! Glad you enjoyed it!
A bunch of Legionnaires will debut in issue #1 in June with Brainiac 5 following shortly thereafter. No plans yet for Bouncing Boy, although I'll not rule any Legionnaire out!

Any chance of ahving a GL/LoSH crossover, maybe with the Corps against the Legion? Now that would be even cooler than this...if that's even possible

Nothing like that in the immediate future... but... keep your eyes peeled! Something is going to happen.

I liked this a lot. An old familiar story told afresh - I especially liked the way you structured the story. Hard to see how Braal would stand a chance against Imsk and its miniature assassins (I guess they should have picked on someone their own size). I also wondered how many salaries Lluorno got paid.
On the picky front, I think you meant "waved" rather than "waived" and "stream of electrical energy" rather than "steam of electrical energy". Your use of apostrophes also left a lot to be desired and I also can't help noticing that there seems to be an ampersand plague in the thirty-first century.

Just wait until you see issue 4! Those pesky Imskian assassains! Damn your pickiness! Just kidding, thank you for bringing those to my attention! I will beat my editor profusely for letting me get away with that!

Just what we needed here, another Legion re-boot! Oh wait, wrong boards! I have been an on again, off again fan of the LOSH's for 20 years. My favorite was the zero hour reboot. With all that said, I had high hopes for what was planned here. Scott, you exceeded my expectations with this zero issue. I thought it was a tight and nicely paced tale that flowed very well back and forth. You introduced the founders in classic Legion fashion with a slight twist. I look forward to the leap ahead to see an established Legion. Thank you Scott! You never disappoint!
