Good story and Dick's character is right on track. Nice to see Kory around and to watch that relationship grow. This was a very solid beginning to this arc and I'll definately be here for the second installment.
Keep up the good work!

It's always taken me some effort to get into Nightwing recently (both DC2 and DCU) but this surprised me pleasantly! It was a really good, solid first parter, and it gripped me too! Couldn't take my eyes away from the screen! It's always hard to get an accessible first parter nowadays, there seems to be a reliance on the past or established continuity, dangling subplots or new characters, but this fit in well and didn't making and demands on the reader, and for that, I'm pleased! What is the mystery of Sloan? I think we can guess! But I can't wait to see where you take us with this, BatKid! Oh and Kalin, great cover, but that background... Is that taken from B:TAS? Because I think I can see someone falling behind Nightwing!

Just chiming in to agree. This is a strong, solid issue. Dick's intro to the firm is well-handled. The Kory scenes are a good counterbalance. And I love the internal monologue! Keep it up!

We start on a low point with Dick once again playing victim instead of hero; but this rapidly improves with Starfire and Batman's cameo. An echo of Lost to the Night with the lawyer Green; but then there's the corrupt toady who's obviously in somebody's pocket. But I wonder, is it as obvious at as it as to whom he's pocket he's in.....?
Good development of Dick's personal life.
And I wonder if those missing Titans files will be important later...here or in Titans.
Normally I cringe when Starfire acts like her Toon counterpart. But the Chinese restaurant scene works in that context, since she still is relatively new to Earth here.
Now I'm hungry for Chinese food.....

Oh and Kalin, great cover, but that background... Is that taken from B:TAS? Because I think I can see someone falling behind Nightwing! Actually, Ramon helped me out a lot on this one. I can only take credit for the figure (minus the hair and most of the color). I did take a screenshot from "Over The Edge" but it was only as an example. Don't think too poorly of him...it was really really late. ;D

I really liked this issue. Batman and Starfire's cameos were great and the start to this arc was solid. I really can't wait to see how it comes out ;D

Nice issue, good characterization. However, your handling of Batman seems strange. Why was he so pale? I figure it's from Dick taking a header off the roof, but come on, this is Batman! It doesn't seem right for him to show such weakness in front of the bad guys.

Well, I didn't think that the story got off to the best start with the opening scene, where it just seemed really lucky for Nightwing that Starfire showed up. After that, however, I thought it was a great read (a definite improvement over last issue) and I'm looking forward to seeing what those bits of overheard phone conversation meant (I've been trying to figure it out, but it's way beyond me).
