I liked! I liked how Night-Thief was used but am curious as to how he will tie in with Hawkman down the line, but this was solid, really good story telling. But no more on the Lawyer? Daaaaamn. You've got me hooked.

I enjoyed it, although I have to say that I found Dick's belief he could easily dodge bullets, along with his tracing Anton from a single hair, a bit unbelievable. I was also slightly disappointed that you didn't pick up again on the storyline from last issue, just because I wanted to have the message, that Dick overheard bits of, explained.

This was the best issue yet! I enjoyed every moment of this from beginning to end. Dick was a hero in this, and written exactly like I enjoy reading him. As a competant detective and athelete.
anyway, I give this five stars. A great story from beginning to end. A story that focused on its main character alone, and showed that Dick Grayson is his own man. Congrats on that!

Of course I was sold on this story when I read one line: This issue takes place after Suicide Squad Annual #1. I tip my hat to both writer and Editor for helping keep DC2's continuity in place. But I'm a continuity hound, so that might just be me. I have to confess that line just left me bewildered, since Suicide Squad Annual #1 hasn't come out yet, and I'm still not sure what the connection is. Also, I'd hate to think that, as a result of that line, some readers might delay reading this story until after the annual's come out.

Nightwing was a hero here, yes. But he went into the villains safe house without either gloves OR a mask on? Careless, very careless. Evidently DC2's Dick Grayson still has a lot to learn.
I am also puzzled that the lawyer plot--which seemed the central focus of last issue--was simply left hanging out to dry. I was sure that this issue would be all about that, given how the last one ended. Maybe Dick is picking his moment with that one.
I don't know Nocturna and Night-Thief as well as I would like, but I enjoyed both of them here. They're fun villains. Not we're evil mu-ha-ha villains, but also not too sympathetic. They enjoy their lifestyle without guilt or remorse; rich kids born to a criminal daddy and deciding to become thrill seekers with style.
Looking foward to seeing how things go from here.

Also, I'd hate to think that, as a result of that line, some readers might delay reading this story until after the annuals come out. Soon I will leave my feedback on the actual story but I thought I would clarify since this was brought up. The reason for the note at the beginning was to note that Night Thief and Nocturna were appearing here after the events of both Suicide Squad #'s 4-6 and the upcoming Annual #1 which they both have major roles in. The problem was, it had to be done in a way that didn't reveal who the villains were before the writer intended, if that makes sense? It in no way was to imply that this story couldn't be enjoyed or read without having checked out the Annual. It was done as a courtesy to me by Ellen. I hope that clears up any confusion I may have inadvertently created. FYI, the long delayed and highly anticipated Annual will see the light of day in 2 short weeks!

It took me several days to figure out what the heck Charlie meant with this comment and then it hit me. I laughed out-loud for minute. I think you meant Shadow Thief there Charlie. As for Shadow thief check him out in the upcoming...nah, everyones gotta be sick of hearing that by now. As for the story, when I stepped back and read it the second time I really found myself enjoying Dick Grayson a little more then Nightwing. What I mean is seeing Dick Grayson grow and mature as a person and how that is reflected in Nightwing makes it fun. He struggled and stumbled through out this issue and it was quiet refreshing. The appearances here of two pretty obscure Bat villains was nice to see. I love how they are portrayed as creepy, sick, sexy, and dangerous all at once. I hope they return cause I can just imagine what Dick would do if Nocturna developed a crush on Nightwing. Let the chaos ensue!

I'm not familiar with the villains, so this was a good introduction for me. I also haven't gotten around to reading Nightwing since Ellen yet, but after reading this fine piece of writing I think I'll have to go back and read those tonight. You've got me interested in Dick's life, and to me Dick Grayson is more important than Nightwing.

Hey, y'all, thanks for the feedback!
Ellen- BIG Thank You........ I'd have had a heck of a time trying to write Natty and Anton if you hadn't looked for all that character info! THANK YOU!!!!!!
Timdrake- thx! I really wanted to get a little more into Dick the teen.... he's more than just the costumed vigilante, and I hope to bring that out. Thanks!

Old-school! When I saw the cover for this issue, I thought, "Hey, that looks like...nah, it can't be, that storyline's over 20 years old..." Hard to believe that a couple of characters that haven't been seen or heard of since the original Crisis would turn up on DC2. Some of the first Batman books I got as a kid centered around Nocturna and Anton the Night-Thief, and seeing them again brings up memories of sitting on the living room carpet with all my comics spread around me, trying to puzzle out the twisty-turny soap opera these guys were involved in. While this story here wasn't great (I was hoping for more on that phone call too) the jolt of nostalgia I got was worth the price of admission.
