A shame that the previous storyline had to be disrupted, but I thought it was a good issue. Liked the interaction between Bruce and Dick and the way you had J'onn tell Dick's story (I'm kind of surprised that J'onn didn't morph into Dick just to give the full effect).

Oh poor Dick...the long bumpy road continues for him.
Bruce and Alfred and J'onn, who were the stars of this issue, were well written and characterized, but the issue seemed to end abruptly--I was expecting more conversation between Bruce and Dick about what had happened.
Overall though, a good issue.

I like it when J'onn J'onzz turns up in other books. He's a really effective supporting character, and I thought he was used in this issue well. I liked the Batman/Nightwing fight, and thought the cover was amazing, going pretty well with Detective Comics #10 last year in the batcave battle stakes. I'm enjoying the way Dick is presented by this writer, and I'll be here next month to pick up the next installement!

A very good issue. The use of the Starro was excellent and I, too, enjoyed the appearance of both Alfred and Martian Manhunter in this.
It was a great tie in to the event. Hats off to you!
Also have to mention that the cover was excellent! When I first saw it I wasn't sure if I should laugh or be worried, so I was a little of both.

Haha. Thx, guys. First off.... yes... that cover was awesome. I didn't see it until I got home from my vacation, so I was pleasantly surprised with it. I KNEW that Anja would have a good cover, but she went a different direction with it that I wasn't expecting, but was very eyecatching and fun. Awesome job! Since I was away, my mom and Ellen got together to work on a few issues with the credits and such, so I'm thankful for that. Thx, guys! And lastly, thank y'all for the great feedback. I wasn't at all sure on how to use J'onn or Batman/Bruce, and was terrified to write them at all. With Ellen's help, though, the mess that I presented her turned into something managable.

I have to admit that I haven't followed this title as closely as I would like but every time to do pop in to check out an issue I am always pleasantly surprised. Imari managed to tie into the main event with a very different type of story. Her take on all of the characters involved was refreshing and insightful. The story was grounded but had a lot of depth and was entertaining from start to finish.
I look forward to diving back into to this title soon and catching up on the main story and the various subplots.
The cover was great as well from Anja and Kalin. Correct me if I am wrong but this issue was done entirely by the talented ladies of the DC2 right?

Thanks, John! I couldn't have done it without you! Everybody, John put up with my stupid questions, confusion, and immense frustration with my struggle with the story! Give him a hand! I wanted to write one of my NW DC2 fanfics in the first person, and that was really different, but I enjoyed it. I always have a heck of a time writing Bruce, so I was up many nights for many days working solely on his few lines! And aye, it was all handled by us DC2 ladies ... unless Kalin sweet-talked Ramon into doing her share....

It was my pleasure to help you. I think you pulled it all together very nicely. You deserve a hand yourself. And if Ramon was involved well the ladies still did an awesome job.
