Editor breaking in: I have to say that Tim sounds like an immature teenager because he is one, at this stage. He's thirteen years old, new to the suit, relatively inexperienced, and still coming to terms with the deaths of both his father, and of Bruce.
In DCU canon, after Tim earned the suit, he spent months overseas learning new skills and essentially crimefighting solo. That hasn't happened here. He's still learning, still in training, and still very unsure of himself.
He'll grow.

great job! Although I have to admit there was a part of me that was hoping Dick would pull out the old "anti-shark Batrepelent".
A good story showing Tim's continuation of learning his roll.
Two great covers as well!

This was an all right entry to the series. For some reason, it didn't quite click with me, starting with the shark attack and ending down with Alfred again being written...oddly in regards to Tim. Being stopped by a cake getting ruined? That struck me as very bizarre. It ultimately didn't work for me, and overall the plot of the story failed to gel for me. That said, I did like the chemistry and interactions of the characters, by and large. Dick and Babs, all the way! And it was nice to see a family moment for these four, that was great. Keep at it, and we'll see how things are next month for our Bat-heroes. Take care Don

Tim's actions in the second half didn't bother me that much. I'm sure it reminded Dick of himself as Robin in many, many ways. And at least Tim got the guy!
It was the shark attack sequence that scared the crud outta me.

Hey, roxas707! I don't mean to make Tim too 'young' for his age, or out-of-character. I have 4 brothers, all younger, two of whom are teens now and hoped I could at least manage that part right, haha. I don't really see him as making more "good than bad" for Dick, but more going through life experiences. Please don't STOP reading, keep tuning in. Brian-- Yes, aren't the covers awesome? I love it. And "anti-shark Batrepelent"... have to work on that. Don--glad you liked Babs. I was happy to have an excuse to write her in. Jay-- glad you liked. Found my siblings' Creature Card or something on a shark and scribbled a shark attack... Actually, the one I had written for Jan. was on my PC, which *cough* expired. This was one I'd written for fun and revised for DC2 in a day or two, haha. Thanks for the feedback, folks.
