I can't believe I had a demon call Nat the Hat, uh Nat the Hat... And there were a couple of mistakes on my part in the spelling of Cain... I should have given this story a more thorough read through before sending it to Crow. I didn't spot any problems with the dialogue, but I think my fight scenes could have been a little better. Thanks to Crow for editting, and thanks to the fine staff at DC2 as well as the fans. This was the conclusion to The Nightmare Trilogy, and I hope you all enjoyed reading it as much as I did writing it.

Bloody hell, this was tight and well written! No flaws that screamed out to me, and an amazing finale to an amazing run! After your treatment of Zsasz, we need you on a Bat-title!

Exalt!
Thanks man, I'm probably just spotting things that wouldn't jump out at the readers since I wrote the story. Hey HoM where are you from?

I am glad to see Hitman. I don't know his buddy Nat, though.
And Dream is coming back! Excellent.
One small point; an editorial note about spelling Cain's name is still in the script.

I look forward to reading all of these issues when I play catch up this summer. But I do have a suggestion. Is it possible to put the featured character in the issue title. It might help let people know when there is a story here with a character they like. Thats my thought on it.

I'm not sure whether that Nat is "The Hat: being that I love magic related people, I was checking to see if there were more appearances of the Hat when I was considering a story I wanted to write. Nat the Hat was Nat's nickname a long time before the Hat appeared, and there's nothing I've seen that links them together...unless one of wants to do it here lol
Anyways, very solid story, and very cool way to bring soem Vertigo characters to DC2 and make them work. The use of the Corinthian was very well done.
Arcalian, thanks for the help...things were a bit hectic a few days ago...I'll be taking care of that now.

Nat the Hat is just a normal guy that's been Tommy's friend since the Gulf War. He's always been the voice of reason for Tommy, and he's no slouch in the fighting department either. When Tommy's in a jam, it's usually Nat that bails him out. He's actually my favourite character from Hitman. Don't get me wrong, Tommy is one of the coolest guys to ever grace the DCU (And DC2 ) but Nat's always been more grounded than Tommy in a lot of ways.

Much understood! This also gives more freedom to the Hat's origins should anyone use him soon

Yey, Tommy and Nat are among the living once again! I've missed you boys so much! Great job, Clown, a perfect Hitman tale. You managed to touch upon so many major aspects of the character in one story without slowing it down. You even kept the space-parasite origin...and ripped on it in the same breath! That's it, I want a Hitman monthly from you! ;D

Hey there!
I normally don't read Rogues' Gallery, but the Corinthian made me curious, and this was great.
I liked seeing Hitman and Natt, and a DC2 Hitman series would be great. Idle, get on it!

Who is The Hat? I don't recognize the name... The Hat is a character from Manchester Black's Elite, the same Elite who challenged Superman. He wore a Fedora Hat that made him magically powerful or some such, and then later when his team was saving the world with Black's sister he wore a chinese dragon style mask with the hat. Far Left Far Right

That sounds interesting, Elite was collected in trade format right?

I love this issue! I want to see a Hitman ongoing.
And I caught the The Untouchables reference. The Untouchables is one of my favorite movies:
“Simple, we brought guns to a knife fight,” Tommy said as he and Nat opened fire.
Please let there be a Hitman ongoing if only to see Hitman and the boys brawl with the Lords of the Gun!

Maybe down the line, but my next issue of RG is going to be the last thing I write for DC2 for a while unfortunately... I do want to write more Hitman though, so maybe in a couple of months...
