And here...we...go!
Very good way to kick off the newest team of the DC2. I like whose being put front and center here; Catman and Deathstroke are a good dysfunctional duo, Ravager is an interesting mystery and Parasite is more capable than I expected (granted, I had no idea he could shapeshift, but still). The dialogue flows and the action is cool. And that cover is gorgeous. I'll be back next month to see what happens.

Loved this! I really love the whole vibe this book's story gives off of being bad is good. I really enjoy having some awesome villains be thrown into the spotlight and being perfectly characterized, I especially like Deathstroke in this. He's bad ass. I thought the Voice's speech was pretty cool too. It should be a hell of a lot of fun to have a book where the baddies are the focus each month!

Very good way to kick off the newest team of the DC2. I like whose being put front and center here; Catman and Deathstroke are a good dysfunctional duo, Catman and Deathstroke's fates intertwine in #3, as things get... weird. Deathstroke is such a blast to write, and Catman... well, I've always had a soft spot for that character. Worked him into too many of my pitches a while back, but never had the opportunity until now. Ravager is an interesting mystery... Yes, that's the idea, and his (yeah, it's a he in there) mystery will be revealed in #5 and #6, which involves a fight scene you have no idea I am looking forward to writing... ...Parasite is more capable than I expected (granted, I had no idea he could shapeshift, but still). I was talking to Pat about the character, and how I wanted him to be scary. In my early discussions with writers about this title, I laid out certain points I wanted to make, like "Who is the boogeyman of the super-villain set?" and it is my belief that Parasite is that man. You'll see why as the narrative moves forward, but he's going to live up to his name. There are big plans for him... The dialogue flows and the action is cool. I'm glad, it's a blast to write these characters, and I intend to move the cast around per arc, to keep things fresh. Major Disaster, for one, is a character I'm hoping to use down the line... amongst others. And that cover is gorgeous. Completely! And though he didn't appear in this issue, Toyman is in #2, so there is a reason that he's on the cover of #1 I'll be back next month to see what happens. Thanks for your readership, this is a title I'm really giddy to be writing.

I really enjoy having some awesome villains be thrown into the spotlight and being perfectly characterized, I especially like Deathstroke in this. He's bad ass. Oh, he is, and he's going to show that in #6. Well, he'll show how bad-ass he is in every issue, but in #6... heha... I thought the Voice's speech was pretty cool too. And he's someone you've all seen on the DC2 before... /tease It should be a hell of a lot of fun to have a book where the baddies are the focus each month! Indeed, thanks for reading, dude, this is a fun book to write, and I'm currently working on #4!

A great beginning to this story. I'll second the fact that Deathstroke and Catman are a really cool "Odd Couple". I'm not sure this concept could work so well with anyone at the helm but Charlie.
But The Voice has me very intrigued. I'm sold. Actually bought two issues of this! (Okay, maybe not, but I actually would if they had been on the stands).
Beautfiul cover! Great job everyone!

A great beginning to this story. I'll second the fact that Deathstroke and Catman are a really cool "Odd Couple". I'm not sure this concept could work so well with anyone at the helm but Charlie. Deathstroke and Catman are two of my favourite villains, and whilst I know that some writers on site think I have a tendency to "redeem" certain villains (if you're reading this Dan, I'm sorry!), Deathstroke is not going to be doing good any time soon. It's going to rock. But The Voice has me very intrigued. I'm sold. Actually bought two issues of this! (Okay, maybe not, but I actually would if they had been on the stands). The Voice is going to be so much fun Beautfiul cover! Great job everyone! Yeah, Steve hit it out the park, really glad to have had him onboard. Jamie Rimmer is on the cover for #2, so I'm excited about that!

Very good, liked the issue. I liked Rich (oh well, RIP) and hated Deathstroke (always have), and love Catman. Great characterizations overall, especially with Deathstroke and Parasite. The Voice proves an interesting mystery. Somehow, I found the speech anticlimatic and a bit disappointing, but maybe that's just me. Great job, though, can't wait till the next part.

Very good, liked the issue. Aha! Welcome to my nightmare, Im! I liked Rich (oh well, RIP)... We've spoken about this character, and whilst he fun to flesh out and make a bit different, his death was inevitable. I mean seriously, when had you heard of him before? That question wasn't directed at Don! ...and hated Deathstroke (always have)... Something I now feel the need to sort out. Deathstroke is awesome. I'll show you why before the first arc is through. As do I. #3, this'll show. He goes on a roaring rampage of "revenge"... Great characterizations overall, especially with Deathstroke and Parasite. Yeah, Parasite is going to be the breakout star of this book, starting with #4, where he gets a massive upgrade in skill set. I just wrote the scene, and it was kinda harrowing. So awesome, if I do say so myself. Deathstroke is so clearly defined as a character (kinda, eh.) that it can be hard to make him something different, but in #5... oh, yay The Voice proves an interesting mystery. Somehow, I found the speech anticlimatic and a bit disappointing, but maybe that's just me. The Voice will continue to play a large role in the book, and his agenda doesn't match up with everybody elses in this title. That's an overt idea I had for the book though, as you'll learn very soon that not everybody is as they seem. I'll try to make him more sinister (each issue kind of ends on him being a complete psychopath in his own special way) and hopefully his actions will soon speak louder than his words. Great job, though, can't wait till the next part. I look forward to your readership

Playing catch-up here... And this turned out to be a fantastic read. Carman and Deathstroke play off of each other well. The Parasite scene is a little disturbing (his dressing up) and terrifying as Charlie really managed to make him really menacing. I liked the little bits frm the narrator, like when we were informed about Catman's preference not to fly... Nice little touches that Charlie always seems to excel at. Great issue and on to #2... eventually

Catman and Deathstroke are a thrill to write together, as they're really different personalities, and The Parasite is going to be coming into a whole new world of creepy next arc. Thanks for reading!

Great idea for a title, great story, especially the developing bromance between Deathstroke and Catman, great suspense with the Voice vs the 100, great mystery with Ravager (I bet he's Bruce Wayne!), great writing, great cliffhanger, great cover (super-great, really) and great that there are a backlog of issues to read!
Five stars!

Five stars! Thanks Dave! The mystery of Ravager will be revealed on Wednesday, so I hope you don't have it ruined for you! I'm really pleased with how Deathstroke and Catman have been received, but I'm going to rethink the cast of characters after the first year. This is a place for the lower tiers to shine, and I've got some ideas for that already, thanks to talks with another writer on site. Hope you enjoy the rest of the series! It's been a blast to write!

Another classic Charlie title hits the ground running! Can't wait to catch-up with this (yes, I needed a break from Batman, lol). As that guy on tv in Robocop said - I'd buy THAT for a dollar! ...or more, if you're lucky

Big plans in place for this title, beyond the first two arcs (the second has just started, and I'm already wrapping it up behind the scenes, reading for a big third arc that's going to be intertwined with the DC2 in a big way) and I hope you enjoy this debut story.

Playing DC2 catch up here!
Even though I have other titles I have to catch back up on, I thought I’d jump in and see what this title was all about. I always wanted to read this since it debuted because the concept of an all super villain book has always interested me. Overall I wasn’t disappointed. It was very well written and the Steve Howard cover made the whole thing pop! There’s a lot going on with some solid ground work for the future. Plenty of mystery and intrigue to play off of as well.
A few select thoughts on the issue itself:
I wasn’t too sure what to think at first. I wasn’t really getting into Blackguard so I started to lose interest. Then you offed him and I was right back into the story!
Catman is a personal fav of mine so I was a bit cautious of your use of him, but I think you delivered. Can’t wait for more.
Not a fan of the overused Deathstroke, but I see his purpose to the story and you make it work here.
Parasite was menacing cool. Perhaps the biggest highlight of the issue for me.
I didn’t even mention the Voice, the 100, or what happened with the Guardian and the mysterious Ravager. What a jam-packed debut issue!
All I can say is I am eager to jump into the remaining issues and see how this plays out!
5 stars!

Playing DC2 catch up here! And I'm really pleased you decided to start here! Let's do this crazy thing... Yeah, SSoSV is one of my more ingrained series, taking place firmly in the DC2 and playing off all the events that are going on around it. Steve Howard was a coup to have on the cover, and it gave just the right impression for the series-- and I was pleased to have him revisit himself in #5, with a cover depicting the villains of the series! I wasn’t too sure what to think at first. I wasn’t really getting into Blackguard so I started to lose interest. Then you offed him and I was right back into the story! Phew, glad you stuck with us. Blackguard is a character we're going to see more of. Not right now, but in our second year, lots of plans for returning to some people who you may not expect. Catman is a personal fav of mine so I was a bit cautious of your use of him, but I think you delivered. Can’t wait for more. Catman! Oh, we're doing something different with him right now, and in the issues I'm writing currently (#14-16) he's got a whole new set of problems after the events of #12. Exciting stuff that I can't wait to see posted! I love what Simone did with him, and Jay wrote him wonderfully, so his appearances here are a progression of all that, informed by a number of sources, and I didn't want to retread what had come before and do something safe... Not a fan of the overused Deathstroke, but I see his purpose to the story and you make it work here. Not a massive spoiler, but Deathstroke is gone by #6, but I expect him to return (he hasn't by #16, I'll say that now). I too consider him to be the Wolverine of DC (recently, at least) and didn't want to overplay my hand with him. Parasite was menacing cool. Perhaps the biggest highlight of the issue for me. Yes! Awesome! He's a massive player in #7-12, and he's going to be making appearances across the DC2 in the year, starting with Action Comics #48 (if I can just get it finished!). I didn’t even mention the Voice, the 100, or what happened with the Guardian and the mysterious Ravager. What a jam-packed debut issue! Glad you thought so. Was really pleased with how #1-6 shaped up. All I can say is I am eager to jump into the remaining issues and see how this plays out! And I look forward to more of your feedback! It's so exciting, no word of a lie.

Okay, let's see what we have here... The first guy you introduce and seems to be the character to follow is killed... oookaaaay... what the hell is going on here. Now you have me intrigued. Really liked the Parasite scene (I never knew he could shape shift). He seemed to be a mix of Parasite and Clayface for me, but hey, the scene was great. Catman and Deathstroke... wouldn't have expected that. Catman always seemed to be more of a Deadshot guy to me Ravager killing the Guardian... I guess with a Guardian mini being published right now, that was a red herring. All in all a great issue. I'll continue reading it in the next few days. 4 stars.

Okay, let's see what we have here... Wow, glad to have you onboard, Boris. What with John posting such great feedback, and now you, it really makes all this seem worthwhile, and I thank you for that The first guy you introduce and seems to be the character to follow is killed... oookaaaay... what the hell is going on here. Now you have me intrigued. Yeah, keep you on the toes, set the tone of the series. Trust no one. Trust no single narrative. No one is safe! Really liked the Parasite scene (I never knew he could shape shift). He seemed to be a mix of Parasite and Clayface for me, but hey, the scene was great. That's delved into somewhat over the course of the series (and is continued to be delved into as we progress). Suffice to say, Rudy has access to all sorts of powers, and power-bearing individuals, and after #4... well, that ability gets all the more scarier. And it's a blast. Catman and Deathstroke... wouldn't have expected that. Catman always seemed to be more of a Deadshot guy to me I was considering that, but this isn't Secret Six (as much as I love that series) and Deadeshot was locked up by SS and CM, so I decided to go somewhere different. Not to say that they won't meet, but let's just say right now that it won't be anytime soon. Ravager killing the Guardian... I guess with a Guardian mini being published right now, that was a red herring. The one overarching plot I'm most proud of, and I hope you stick around to see that come to fruition. Not everything is as it seems. All in all a great issue. I'll continue reading it in the next few days. 4 stars. Thank you
