The introduction of what I am sure will turn out another of the Titans Resistance was a surprise! I liked it! Then you turn around and give us another! I like it again. I hope that once the team is together we can get a full team cover shot. We continue to learn more about the background of familiar characters in this new world with each unique twist. Robin and Terra. Could there be a little love in wartime in the air? Not if she can't shake the spy or traitor label. Poor girl can't catch a break anywhere! Another fine issue all around!

There is tension between Tim and Tara on a number of levels, yes. Hehheh. Before all is said and done things between them will have further complications.
Group shot? Oh, to be sure, eventually.
And we haven't met everybody yet....

An improvement over last issue. I really enjoyed it, and the new additions. I'm also yet another reader looking forward to a group shot.
If I was to be picky, I thought Kai's reckless opening of the cockpit made her look, to me, more stupid than brave, and I have to say that I was stunned by the unbelievable speed of Eric's reflexes where he blocked Kai's visual attack near the end.

I have to say that this is fast becoming one of my favorite Elseworld tales. I enjoyed the first issue, but this second one was even better! You've got an easy and distinct style of writing that I absolutley enjoy. You've got superb characterization and this world that you have created is fascinating, to say the least. You've really hooked me. Not only am I looking forward to reading the rest of this, I hope to read more of your stuff in other area's of the DC2 universe.

Thanks, guys.
GL is powerful for one of his kind, with a high intelligence married to the anger of his uncle. And yeah, I couldn't let "Supergirl" kill him. Sorry about that. As for the girl herself, I was trying to show her as a reckless scientist, as well as (and this is the part I'm worried about) truly alien.
The group shot cover should be issue # 5, but don't hold me to that.
I certainly hope to do more DC2 stuff, but I'm still relatively new here. I am truly a post-Crisis DC2-er. Heheh.

Good work once again. The alternate fate of Krypton is an interesting twist (a world without a Superman...that explains a lot concerning the Markovian takeover), and Alan Scott is now an official member of the GL Corps! Yay!
I was curious: instead of giving us Kara and Kyle for our 2 newest young heroes, you made up entirely new ones to fill their roles. Is there a reason for this?

Thanks! For Supergirl and GL I wanted my own concepts of them. Nothing against Kyle or Kara, really. But I didn't want Kara or Matrix, I wanted a truly alien Supergirl. Which I hope I acheived. As for GL, again, nothing against Kyle; but I wanted a teenaged, more intelligent version of Guy, so that's what I got.

You know, it's always a pleasure to discover a new title to follow, and Titans: Resistance is just such a book.
I read and responded to the first issue months ago, and I really enjoyed it. It seemed to be a really novel approach, and I think it was Chris (Tony Clifton) that put it best when he said that this is what Elseworlds is supposed to be: interesting reimaginings of the DCU. Unfortunately, I haven't had time to explore the more recent issues until now, and boy ams I glad I did!
This alternate world that Jay has created is a fascinating glimpse into a geo-political scenario that seems likely to happen when a metahuman dynasty "goes all Napoleon." Empress Petra (nice name, BTW!) is a downright ruthless monarch on an Imperial Roman scale, and I, for one, would like to see more Markovian court intrigue.
Loved the two new characters introduced in this issue. The new take on Krypton is a neat twist, and Kai-Al seems like a complex individual (I, too, was a little surprised by her bold take on the scientific method in leaping out of the cockpit, but I suppose it does establish her personality). Can't wait to read more on her, and to see how she will fit into our story--- Superman was raised on Earth, and was, for all intents and purposes, an Earthling. This new Supergirl will have an entirely new perspective on her 'responsibilities.'
Great background stuff with Alan Scott! As should be no surprise, I am really looking forward to reading more about the European resistance movement of the Justice Society!
Finally, with Tara and Tim, we have an engaging, likable couple at the center of all this, and it will be interesting to see how this particualr relationship develops.
All in all, this was exceedingly well done! Very nicely written, by a writer who's not only done his research, but is clearly accomplished, intelligent and well-read.

This was more like it!
I have to agree with Brian when he said that "you've got an easy and distinct style of writing"! It just rolls off the page like a fine wine... Piece... Of wordage. The introduction of the new characters was punchy and effective, and reading about the "alternate" Krypton was ace!
You've got an excellent handle on characterization, and also you make me believe so readily in the world you've devised, I wouldn't be surprised if you have the whole history of this fictional earth plotted out in your head!

I wasn't quite sure about the direction of this issue... I guess I need to let the story play out... but I did like the way you introduced the Kryptonians and Kai-Al.. that's going to be interesting to see where this goes.. all in all I liked this but not as strongly as the first issue. *** From me.
