I have to say that this has been a blast to edit and get to read before anyone else. Jay has done such a phemoninal job creating this whole other world and I'm proud that this is the first Elseworlds title to monthly. Just wait until you see what's coming down the pike.
Great job Jay, and super job on the cover, Brian.

I'm glad you guys enjoy where I'm going. In addition to being a superb Editor, Brian is doing me another special favor here, but I can't say what it is.....yet.

We were approved for an ongoing several issues ago. I've got # 7 and # 8 written, and TextCrimes has agreed, at least in principle to do the cover for # 7 (though I've yet to hear back from him on my concept for that cover). If you're a cover artist, I'll certainly keep you in mind for the future.
If you're a writer, we can talk about spinoffs or backup stories or whatever, but they will also have to go through Elseworlds Editor, Starlord.

This is as good as it gets!
A great conclusion to (the first arc of) a novel and rollicking new series. Rarely have I seen characters and scenes come alive with the passion and immediacy that Jay brings to this alternate history. It is so obvious that he not only likes these characters, but cares for them--- and because he does so much, others will, as well! Count me as a convert, and a member of the resistance!
In addition to the fullly-fleshed heroes, I can't help but feel we have also seen one of the best original villains in fan fiction come out of this as well: the Empress Petra! I love her! She is deliciously evil and utterly badass! Her duel with Terra was the centerpice of a superbly-written battle scene (and those suckers are not easy to write!), and I'm glad that she has lived to terrify (terra-fy? ;D) another day!
I'm thrilled that this did well enough to warrant an ongoing monthly treatment. The writer obviously has quite a few more bullets in his chamber, judging by the ending! Who will replace Ravager (as if she could be replaced! Bring her back!)? Is Prince Brion the Geo-Force (cool use of the title! He sounds like a meta-human messiah)? What role will Anarky play in this strange new world? Where do the newly-christened Titans go from here? Will Supergirl get a better costume? Will Batman ever let Tim back into the 'Cave?
Really looking forward to seeing more of this universe, and the possibilities it has to offer.
The cover was awesome! The more I see the work of Brian Hodges, the more I love it! His rendering of Terra is beautiful, and her really made the Empress come alive, as well. He is perfect for this title and I hope he sticks around as permenant cover artist.
Eagerly awaiting the next issue!

Caring about characters, yes indeed Idlewilder. Yes indeed. Thank you!
Ravager will be back. Think back to Batman in the first episode of the Justice League cartoon; "If you need help....and you will...call me."
Brian Hodge's cover was amazing, wasn't it? Especially the Empress. I knew he'd do a good job; I had no idea that an evil Joan of Arc would be staring out of the cover at me!
As for what role Anarky will play, let's just say there's more to come, and he is not the last.

KD will not join but I wouldn't be surprised to see him make a cameo at some point down the line.

Read this a little late, but it was great as always. Ravager out, Anarky in? Oh boy!
Brain Hodges did a superb job. Just another fine example of the DC2 Art Dept.'s work!

The showdown between Markovians was intense. I really wasn't sure which way it was going to go between mother and daughter.
Mixing the personal insight throughout the battle worked really nice.
I had to laugh when I read the line, "It was truly a titanic battle....perhaps we should call ourselves Titans." Reminded me of a line in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.
Not a huge fan of Anarchy but in your capable hands.
Another cool cover by Brian. I love how Empress Petra looks so bad ass.
Battle lines are clearly drawn. I can't wait to see where this ongoing goes next.

*lmao* Good one.. I got to love the interaction with Rose and Robin.. really good stuff in that regard.
The final scene where she's screaming into the skies.. I thought I could really hear that. Funny.
I love this series.. and the covers are awesome.
I think you've done extremely well, Jay.
***** from me.
