Ha! Loved the retro-tone of this issue. One calamity after another for poor Jimmy--- and some good old fashioned Super-dickery from the Man of Steel himself. Not sure if this was intentional or not, but this read like a story from the early Silver Age (which made the last bit on the laptop a bit jarring, but it ended the issue on an interesting note, so no harm, no foul).
And that cover was a perfect accompaniment to the throwback-feel of the issue. Love the humor of Jimmy bending to pick up a coin and the impending disaster of the out of control car careening towards him...
Great fun and a promising debut from a new contributor!

ehhehe my goodness....SuperPowers Anonymous oughtta be fun.
I'll admit, an attempted suicide wasn't the wacky fun I was expecting when I started reading XD But despite the grim bits, there's a great farcical quality to the whole issue. You can see the disasters coming, and coming, and coming, and really, again? It's a surprisingly light tone for what you're doing, and I liked it. Definitely look forward to seeing what you do next.

I found this so dark! Jimmy cutting himself (What), Jimmy getting hit by a bus (Whoa) and then getting shot (Yikes), it didn't feel like any Jimmy Olsen story I had ever read before. But then we had some definitively Jimmy Olsen moments, the Superdickery that is inherent to those classic stories like Dave said, and then Jimmy being adamant that he would solve this himself. Good times. Strong character. To be fair, the story was okay, there's a lot of promise here, but I wasn't dragged in. The cliffhanger was suitably enigmatic, but Jimmy Olsen hasn't ever been a character that interests me... I'll be back next month, but I need action! Suspense! More than just this snippet of a story!
Come on, sir, I know you can do it!
