So, I have the pleasure of editing this title (probably quite badly, I have to admit) and it’s great to see a new issue out. It’s been a few months, but I like this book, it’s not high concept but it’s high quality, and I think that’s really good. Taking characters from across media platforms, cartoons, comics an video games, and driving them together in a cohesive manner is a rare commodity these days, and UltimateDC acquits himself really well.
Now, what did we have with this issue? It’s down as Part 4 of our first arc, but it really serves as both epilogue and prologue, building on the events of the last three issues and getting us ready to dive into the next arc. Penguin is still in the background, and he is pissed, while the Voice is still lurking about, ready to send our Secret Six onto their next mission, one which looks to have ties, however slight, with a recent Justice League arc. I loved seeing that (thanks UDC!) and I’m interested to see where it goes next.
I’m really chuffed with the amount of world building that took place between the team. They’re coming together as a group, they’re experiencing their own version of teambuilding, having survived one hell of a first trial by fire, and now they’re socializing, domesticizing, they’re getting into the groove of being around each other all the time. And where they’re headed next, they’ll need all the camaraderie they can get, because I have to admit, last time we saw their destination of choice, it was not the nicest place to be…
…And then that final segment! This means trouble… someone’s in on the game, someone’s playing both sides, and that means nothing but bad things in the months ahead. Does this person, this mole, know the identity of the Voice? And is Sickle safe after the damage he took, and the so-called “treatment” he received?
I can’t wait for the next issue, UDC! And with a new arc, comes the demand for new covers! So if you’re interested in illustrating this ragtag group of bastards, drop us a line here or in PM!

Thanks, Charlie! And thank you (and our other readers) for their patience with this series. My writing's been delayed the past few months by a mix of distraction, writer's block, and some real life stuff (nothing bad, just time and energy consuming) and I appreciate you sticking with it. This issue is my attempt at writing a Brian Michael Bendis story. My favorite issues of his Avengers run were the stories in between arcs, where after saving the world from some big disaster, the team would sit around a table eating lunch and say, "That was crazy, wasn't it?" I like those stories because it gives the heroes room to breathe, a chance to see what they're like in their off time, to humanize them. I hope I succeeded in doing the same for the Six. As for the Harjavti storyline, it's one that's been in my head for a while and it feels good to finally get it onto the page. Charlie's Justice League arc featuring him and the Bialyans has provided an excellent map for how to work this character and the arc that features him, so thanks for that. Exciting things are indeed coming! I'm looking forward to putting them together and showing them off to ya. Thanks again for reading and commenting, and for editing this series. I really do appreciate it. -UDC

Hello, UDC! I'm a new reader on the site and I've had the pleasure of catching up on a variety of titles. I just finished reading the first four issues of Secret Six. It's a great story so far and I look forward to more. Stories starring villains always have a lot of flexibility that make them a fun read.
I'm particularly enjoying Mist, Cluemaster, and Copperhead. Everyone has a distinct voice, powers, and roles in the squad. I enjoyed your careful set-up and characterization for each member of the squad. The Voice is an intriguing super-villain and I'm excited for the reveal. Personally, I hope it's not too far in the future to resolve this mystery and keep the story going, introduce a new perspective on the initial kidnapping and crime. Who's involved and why...We'll see!
P.S. "Making Friends and Influencing People" is the best title for this arc. Amazing.
