Sorry guys, life kicked me in the butt. Lost my job Sept 2019... everything literally stopped.
Got a new job eventually, it's been steady since. I think I have time to draw again, especially these coronavirus times where I'm just holed up at home.
Maybe Kickstarter is too much and too big.
Anyone got a script for something like a Golden/Silver/Bronze Age superhero team book? Maybe in the vein of New Teen Titans/Justice League/Avengers/X-Men that sort of thing. Maybe a webcomic platform is much more realistic.
Let me know if you're interested.

Thanks for the feedback, Don I'll definitely add the mask. Simple but straightforward, I do like it. The harness looks great, and she's got a nice young look on her face which lines up with her attitudes pretty well. I do envision a half-mask on her (yeah, really, a secret id on a skyscraper sized person? but she's got that innocence around her lol). The kind of mask like you'd see on Mar-Vell or Johnny Quick. But this is a fun, excellent start Makes me want to work more on my Strangers. Take care Don

Roy, character and concept sounds awesome... I'd buy that as a comic book! Don, I'll definitely take a shot at designing one of your characters tonight. Dave, I think I like blue hair. I'll update the image Btw, my good friend and terrific artist, Carlo, committed to six pages for this project. C'mon Charlie, play with us. Isn't the point of everything we do is to make comic book someday? President?! Oi, I just start things "Thing Starter" should be my position. David, League of Heroes sounds awesome, I'll definitely take a shot at designing some of these new and definitely interesting characters. You actually had me at "JSA" Don, I definitely remember "Redwing". I still keep the files. Sorry for dropping the ball on that one, I couldn't make a stronger commitment on the project during the time. Autumn Winter, Secret Shadows and Strangers sound like winners. Allow me to help in developing these projects. Sketches to follow guys!

I love the old stuff. Sad to say, I don't even read the new stuffs anymore. I might check out news of what's current or the solicits but I don't buy and read new comics anymore... maybe for the last 5 years. I don't know why.
Most of the comics I read these days are old ones. 2000s and earlier. To give an example, I have just read recently Iron Fist/Wolverine 1997 and Jim Starlin Captain Marvel, last week it was Dan'l Boone Frontiersman.

Roy, that sounded like an awesome experience! They are right, it's the journey that's what matters Btw, I'd also like to add, there will be no pressure in this project, we will launch when we feel like it's the right time... in consensus. Launching, technically, is pretty easy... you just upload it and there it is... for the world to see... a comic book. It's alive Soooo... "No Pressure. Keep it Simple. Have fun." -- that sounds like a good motto for any project... or a Mission Vision for every company That being said, maybe we can get some excitement going. I'm itching to draw tbh. So Dave, Roy if you have any concepts germinating, character or story wise, please post it here. Maybe we can get some sketches going. My wish is to actually work on a team book. Ever since I discovered X-Men, Avengers, Teen Titans, Justice League as a kid... that is really all I ever wanted to do in life. So, anyone here with a team book concept, I'm in. ~JOe

Also, the Project Motto is KISS (Keep It Simple, Silly.) Let's not overthink it.
When I was in Grade School, we just fold Copy Paper and draw on it with ball point pen and we'd make Comic Books!
Everyone here is an experience hand, I think we could make something better than that!! lol

The Profit Share MdoelI'm proposing this simple profit share model. 1 Story = 1 Share If we have 4 stories. 1 story gets 25%. Then Writer and Artist can divide from that share. If we get 5 stories, then 1 story gets 20% share of the profits. ------ My proposed model for the Writer/Artist share: They can go 50/50 or whatever they agreed upon but might I suggest a default of 40 - Writer / 60 - Artist (because let's face it, Art is labor intensive. This model might be more attractive to the artist, also to help them push through completion.) ------ The model is also flexible if you have co-writers,they can just go 50/50 on the Writer's share. For artists it might be different, it could be 60 (Pencil/Inks) / 40 (Coloring) ... or whatever they agreed upon. ------ Might I suggest all involved make a Paypal account. It's safe and secure and makes profit distribution easier. ------ Now I don't care if I make only $5 for this (but I'm hoping it could be more ) The important things is publishing work out there. A nice profit would be validation and keep the project going. This could also open doors and change lives ~JOe

I mean realistically, we got enough talents here to publish real comic books. Even monthlies. What I'm thinking is simple. 1.) An anthology book. Maybe 4 6-pager stories (I think 6 pages is doable for an artist... in a month. We'll need 4 artists) . Total of 24 pages. 2.) To be released in digital only (as I don't know the mechanics of shipping.) What we need: 1.) People to run the campaign (I can help but I really feel I don't have the talent for this. I can contribute in the promo art though that's for certain.) I think there are a few here who can do this. I mean this site has been run by creative folks for decades now 2.) At least 4 artists to commit. I can pick up the slack if there aren't enough hands. My wish list (if possible): 1.) I'm hoping for a Superhero Universe. Writers can make their own Superheroes. Maybe we can do team ups or crossovers in the future issues to make it a cohesive universe? We can maybe also add vertigo like things or Western (Hi Suzie ) 2.) Profit sharing. If this becomes successful, some members maybe able to do this full time. We can also most assuredly get artists working on the book if they get compensation. That's it really. Not very complicated. If it fails, at the very least: 1.) We can publish the book on Amazon, Lulu or Comixology (profit share still in effect) 2.) Have fun and learn from the experience. Who wants to play?! P.S. I love lists

Brilliant as ever, mate. Love that bit with the monocle, was that in the original story? Nice moment either way, and very well delivered in the art. Thanks Charlie! Yes, it's in the story. I tried to stay faithful with Dave's script as possible.

I know I wrote it, but the visualisation of those that the Engineer passed through in his escape is HORRIBLE. Bravo. I tried very hard to make it PG-13, but someday I might do that "body parts strewn all over the cell jackson pollack style" scene.
