Well the cover looks funky. Im annoyed someone else used BB though. Just joking I only had an idea and I will still use the main story at some time in the future I hope so I cant wait to read this story. TT titles always rock here.

This was a good issue. Great introduction to Beast Boy. I find it humorous that the most girl crazy of the Titans is found by the most voluptuous Titan.
I am a bit confused that the villains seem to be in two places at once, but I'm sure there's an explanation.

Man, Beast Boy is a little nut-job isn't he. I actually mean that he's is an immense fighter. i wasn't gonna give him nearly that much control over his power. Thats cool, dude. Also will Roy be waking up soon. Please pm me as that fact ties into a story Im writing. not a major tie in just a mention of it but if Im wrong it throws continuity out the window a little bit, know what I mean.

Awesome job, Matt! I really enjoyed your take on Beast Boy. I really think this was your best issue yet. You're really finding the voice for each Titan and it's a blast to read.

Oh yeah! Looking forward to BB baby! I like how you had Starfire make a mistake and realize she was wrong in doing what she did. It's easy for a hero to teach a lesson but it's good writing when they learn a lesson.
Geez, this whole "Leaving to search for themselves" thing seems to be a recurring theme in DC2!

Excellent issue! I can't wait to see how all these threads come together, and I just wanted you to know that I love the story telling that is coming from this book. The cover was also nice.
I wasn't expecting to see BB this week, but as soon as I caught a glimpse of the cover I was all over this issue. Great introduction to the character and I'm excited to find out what happens.
Hopefully I'll be able to create a great follow up when I get a chance at him. To everyone who was excited about BB's first appearance, expect great things for him coming up. He will truly be DC2's Beast Boy.

I also forget to mention how I liked that you're pushing the KF/Raven pairing. It was in the comics a little bit but then it was just shoved off the radar and never remembered. Dust in the wind....

Oh yeah! Bring on the heartbreak! ;D Hey who let Def Leppard in the building??? Teen Titans #5 I’ve never read a depiction of Gar in this light & I’m not sure I like it. He was always the happy-go-lucky prankster, not the depressed self-loathing type. Don’t get me wrong, the story was good… I just didn’t like Gar. The Royal Flush Gang strikes again… at the same time as they strike in New Outsiders? Either it’s a very large gang, or there is a time-discrepancy going on here! (I would say since there are 52 cards in a deck, the gang could be very large indeed!) And just what are they doing to poor Roy??? All-in all a good issue, I can’t wait to see where this goes from here! |

Well, since the RFG are currently planned to feature on next issue's cover, it's actual a spoiler for the cover rather than for the story. Also, since the whole RFG thing seemed to cause so much reader confusion, I think Apprentice was actually doing a public service by revealing the information. I'd argue that I, as editor, should have spotted the problem with last issue, and demanded that it be modified to explain things a bit better.
Anyway, if it actually was a spoiler, I can't help feeling it would have been a lot less likely to be noticed by the readers if certain people had just PM-ed Apprentice about it rather than posted to this letter column.
