Insanely cool cover!
Mega-kudos to the artists that worked on this image (a different artist for each hero--- can anyone guess who did which? ;D)!
And, once again, Ramon has gone above and beyond, coloring and arranging the cover into the masterpiece seen above.
This site would not be what it is without the dedication and committment of the Art Department. Thanks for all you do! You guys and gals are all pros in my book!

Holy Moley! This issue had it all...Well, except the introduction of Bart Allen, but I'm not picky Seriously guys and girls of the DC2, this was amazing! Great cover also, for those who contributed. You see Kurt; you don't need to replace Aquaman with some kid named Joe to make better. He's a badass already!

Great issue. While I found the exposition about the source a bit dull, albeit necessary, I loved the rest of it, I especially liking the Hal/Barry scene and the epilogue . I wasn't sure how Barbara knew Barda was the leader of the Elite Guard, although I guess she might have had a bit of spare time with a Mother Box in order to research her enemy. Also surprised by Dinah's recuperative abilities, unless Desaad had patched her up just so he could tear her apart again).
Excellent cover.

Awesome job on the covers Art Department! Roy, Boris, Art, Doc, Scott, and Ramon, you all really pulled off a great cover! And it's entirely fitting to see Ramon bring it all the way to color and cover, he's the guy that brainstormed this jam cover waaaaaay back when.
Plus, I have to give a big tip of the hat to all the writers and editors who brought this event together. And certainly huge respect to David who carried this site from the earliest days a year ago, all the way to this tour de force Crisis event. Then there were all the ingeniously depicted banners. Too cool and it added a lot to the overall event.
Never before has fan fiction and art gone so far, been so innovative, and felt so inspiring. Great job everyone!

Action packed, but I found some moments to be like "Whuh?"... Darkseid is unstoppable but... Batman has a plan! Wonder Woman and Aquaman just kept coming, and I found that a bad ass moment was just repeated... Three times. I loved the growing thing, something that I always found interesting (Boom Tubes adjust mass when New Gods come to Earth, or Humans to Apokolips) and at last utilised in a cool way! Darkseids horror was... Cool! Highfather's sacrafice... Kinda vague... But effective. Barry and Hal are friends! I think that Dinah was a little too chipper than she should have been, considering the toe nail torture and what not, and I'm seeing some kind of Bullseye-esque ability from Ollie with the throwing of sharp objects? Something I've not seen before from the character but cool none the less, albeit cliched after the attack managed to free them from the Citadel... Y'know? A satisfying read, albiet a word heavy one, but the pace better be kept high next issue, else I'll... Not read it!

There isn't a word to describe this accurately. How many times can one say awesome, stupendous, incredible, without the words losing their meaning. Well, this was all three of those words; it was also the perfect ending to this saga.
As I read it I found myself thinking back to the first few issue's of every story that were written, a year or so ago. I realized that this event was not just about bringing the separate hero's together. It was about bringing together a little piece of every artist and writer that has contributed in the last year to make this site so unique among so many others on the net.
Even as I look at the fantastic banner for this week, I see not only Superman, Wonder Woman, and crew standing before Darkseid, but the representation of David, Charlie, Brandon, Scott, Ramon, Ellen, Riz, Susan, Roy, Kevin, John, Chris and everyone else (cause if I don't stop now I'm going to forget someone), also standing there. And I for one am proud to have stood next to all of you this past year. To be a part of something this unique and this magical. The Justice League triumphed! But even more important... the creative team of the DC2 Universe triumphed too! We all deserve a huge round of applause, and David and the artists deserve a frickin standing ovation in my opinion. Great job everyone! And thank you David, for steering one helluva big ship.

Magnificent all the way around. Terrific cover, stupendous story. I'll highlight my favorite moments:
Barry/Hal-the beginning of a beautiful friendship?
Aquaman getting his badass due.
Black Canary is not dead. Whew!
Darkseid as King Kong.
There's more but what else can I say? To the writing and art staff of the DC2, enjoy your break (those of you who are taking one) and then gear up for year two. You should all be very proud of yourselves.

Aquaman is a badass--- just check out the latest issue of his own DC2 title to see what I mean! It was important to me that all of the Big Seven had an chance to shine in this issue, and thanks to the brilliant work Brandon is doing in Aquaman, the character is really set up as the powerhouse he should be. I mean, this guy is Lord of the largest domain on Earth!

Thanks, Mark! It's tough to get exposition out in a fan fic (without pictures, you have to rely on dialogue and drama), and in a Finale book, anything that slows down the action runs the risk of bogging down the story. Hopefully it didn't hurt the issue too much! What I've tried to convey in the course of editing this mammoth crossover is that the Crisis has lasted a certain period of time--- so as the Outsiders boom-tubed to Apokolips the first day of the invasion, and the events of the Finale occur on the last day (with an indeterminate amount of days intervening) Barbara would have had enough time to hear about Big Barda and the Female Furies (perhaps from Himon) and Dinah some time to recover. A word on Dinah. I see her as one of the mentally strongest, well-adjusted characters of the DC2. Even after her treatment at the hands of Desaad, I don't see her as gibbering to herself in a corner. But I also didn't mean to portray her as her normal self, either. She's a bit glib, consistent with my thought of her as irrepressible, but I describe her as [... a woman huddled in a corner, a human in black leather with her hair singed off and one eye swollen shut.
“Nothing that can’t be fixed by a hydrogen bomb, a very long shower, and years of psychotherapy...” She finished with what passed for a smile.
At first he thought she was insane, but she held his piteous gaze with a forthrightness that belied her sorry state.] Still a long way from okay. But I also wouldn't put it past Desaad to patch her up just to break her down again!

Action packed, but I found some moments to be like "Whuh?"... Whuh? Right... Is that a criticism? Batman always has a plan! That was kinda the point. But it wasn't like they kept coming back, this was one fight broken up into three sections. And I think it's important to note that, as valiant and badass as they were, the only time they managed to hurt Darkseid at all was when his own Omega Beams were deflected back at him. Actually, they got their butts kicked! But they did what they had to do: delay him until the others could mess with the Anti-Life Equation, and for GL to wake the Wall. Didn't think it needed much explanation: he sacrificed himself to keep Darkseid imprisoned. Don't know the details myself really. I imagine it's some magical mumbo-jumbo! See my above note about Dinah. Ollie... Admittedly, a bit of a stretch--- but hopefully not too much of one! After all, he is the world's foremost marksman! Bullseye--- Who's he? The barbeque sauce guy? ;D Uh... No? Deal! Wordy? That hurts, actually. I always thought I had a spase, fast-paced style. But thanks for pointing it out. I will definately address that in the future! I would like to take this opportunity to express a special thanks to Charlie. More than anyone else, he has kept us fired up about the Crisis, and poured a lot of time and effort into crafting this story, writing no less than 4 issues of the crossover. If there is an unsung hero here, it is "Hurricane" House Of Mystery! You're the man, Chazzers!

I have goose-bumps!
David, you pulled it off!!! Possibly the greatest Justice League story ever written! I am really at a loss for words here. It flowed beautifully... It was action packed! Hal & Barry meeting (by the way, you've tapped into Hal's inner smart-ass brilliantly)! Ollie avenging Dinah! the Gandalf-like Highfather in a final deadly embrace with his dark twin. The ending headlines!
If there were an on-line equivallent to the Eisner awards, you'd be giving an acceptance speech!
Just. Wow.

Thanks, Scott!
But I would have to accept the Eisner on behalf of everybody who participated in crafting this story (including the awe-inspiring work of the Art Department). Wrtitng the conclusion was an honor--- I just put a pretty bow on the giftbox that everyone here helped to wrap.
Actually, the issue was rather easy and extremely fun to write, particularly the last scene (where there was something in there for--- and suggested by!--- Dragonbat).
On another note, and not to spoil the euphoria and the celebration of the hard-won victory in the war, but while the Crisis may be over, the consequences will be felt for quite a long time for our heroes. There will be lot's of developments spiraling out of the Crisis--- we meant it when we said the DC2 will never be the same again!
