Great issue. Fantastic cover and phenomenal writing. I enjoyed all the name droppings. I can't wait to see how Vig and Huntress get wrapped into this.
Just one little point to make... The sentence is actually spelled "voulez-vous coucher avec moi ". It's an R, not an S at the end of the verb. You would've been correct if he had said "Tu couches avec moi".

Thanks for the French refresher, Doc! I'm afraid I relied too heavily on Sister Marmalade and only a rudimentary grasp of certain modern Romance languages (but mostly Sister Marmalade). I went ahead and fixed it already!

Terrific job as always! I haven't seen so much flesh and depravity since Colligula (sp?) Seriously though, great job!

This was a great issue. I think you have a great cast of characters here David. It was a treat seeing Ollie Dinah and Babs together. Very disturbing, reading as Black Lighting had to fight to the death. I think he's gonna be a little pissed when this is all over but maybe be on the team hmm? Vigilante and Huntress round out this team nicely along with Zatanna. I can't wait to see the whole team finally get together next issue? This will be a very interesting group to see interact together. You have a good grasp of of each character and I can see them and hear them in my head when reading this. Can't wait to see how this story is gonna end. I also have to mention the striking cover that was provided this issue! Very cool! All and all a stellar job! I would pay $2.99 an issue for this work (minus my 20% hold slot discount of course )

This book had me gripped to the end, and was a welcome second part to your magnificent #0. This is one of the few stories I truly feel I could collect if they were available, and it never lets me down!

Of the few DC2 series that I've been reading, this one is the best. When I got to the end of issue 1, it was like, "no, there needs to be more." Definitely a good read, and I'll be back for more.

This was a wonderful issue. I really enjoy how this 'new' Outsiders is very dark and gritty. I am on my heals waiting to see what happens with Huntress but also to see what happens with Canary (BOP Fan here ). The cover was great as well. Can't what to see what happens next!

Good issue, great cover...but who drew it? There's no credits! Let me guess: you really got Frank Miller to do it, but he wanted to be anonymous, right?

Another stellar issue David! I loved every sentence.
Now, I know you don't watch the show... but Justice League Unlimited had an episode where GA & BC invaded Rouhlette's arena and were forced to fight. It was the first GA & BC teamup as well... just minus the cussin', nudity & writhing limbs.
I can't wait to see how this turns out!

great issue david, i coulda sworn i had already posted here before but i musta not pressed the button. damn me.
why thanks susan, it is I who drew that cover not Frank Miller in refuge. actually i drew it kinda fast too on the count of we needed one fast. im talking like within 2 days fast right? glad everyone liked it, it was SUPPOSED to be for issue six but we were REALLY short on time, now I'll just have to draw another BC and GA dry humping scene...

yeah Ramon, awesome job...captures the mood perfectly. And again, this book SHOULD be in print. Man oh man, DC should take some notes...I think this book would sell like Ice Cream in hell!!! (Bonus: No Shift, Grace or Thunder!!! )

Thanks to all and sundry for their kind words!
In answer to Bigboi's question of wether there will be any additions to the team, I can only say: yes, proabaly, but not in the near future. We're going to explore this particular dynamic we have set up here first.
But Black Lightning will not appear in issue 3... (read into that what you will)!
And for those of you waiting for some more Vigilante, all I can say is--- next issue, he is unleashed.

Better than WHITE Lightning considering him being black and everything...

Besides....
White Lightning would not be an impressive idea for a superhero. What would he do? Hang around on street corners trying to get older heroes to buy fags for him?
For those of you in the US.... In the U.K. White Lightning is a particularly cheap and nasty brand of cider. It is often used by layabout underage kids as a means of getting drunk VERY cheaply. Hence the above.

Oooh, that's bad! We've got white lightning in the US too, Evilal, but the term is used for moonshine -- it's still booze, but homemade.

the one question i have always wondered is, "WHY's it always gots ta be BLACK Lightning?" Because 'The Man' is always putting him down, Ramon. I just got a chance to read this and really enjoyed it. Very interesting developments so far and the death match with, ahem, Jackson Pierce was very cool. Also, very vivid and convincing depiction of the S&M club there. I didn't know you had it in you, D! Ha. I don't really know what else I can say here about this issue that hasn't been said already, so uh, keep'em coming!

Loved the first storyline. Some of the scenes ended up stuck in my head so I sketched them out.

These are awesome, artteach! I am flattered and grateful that you took the time to do this. Coincidentally, that is exactly how I imagined the scene with Ollie and Dinah. I can't wait to see you on some DC2 covers!

Very nice. Loving the past elements you added to GA and Batgirl. Ver simple and believable considering I've read the Titans comics you've got on this site with Roy being a real player. I chuckled. Also liked the dialogues and banter between GA and BC. Very nice.
Looking forward to reading the next chapter.

Thanks, Hope! I'm a fan of what Gail Simone is doing with the BC character, so I owe a lot of the characterization to her.

David... mucho kudos sir ... mucho kudos Grande!!!
This is exactly what I am talking about!!! This issue IMO is far ... FAR superior to # 0 ...
With a brief touch on other characters introduced in # 0 yo then spent the rest of the issue focused on specefic part of the story.
This was tight writing and very engaging for the readers. I did not at all feel .. jumpy going from scene to scene.. it felt natural and each scene fed the building tension leaving us hanging at the end.
Damn straight we are all gonna tune into the next installment!
LOL still waiting for some interior art here ... Gawd the naughty bits we are left to imagine... { snicker }
