I shudder to think what Desaad would do to Dinah.
So it looks like the Outsiders are headed to Apokolips itself. I certainly hope Zatanna can get herself together because they could really use her help in that place.
Very cool how all the DC2 titles are tying together for the big event and giving us a different point of view of the crisis with different Apokoliptian heavies. The matchups have been top notch.
All the goodness of this title is on display here: characterization, humor, action, intrigue, and yes even more sex. I hope all our heroes make it out of the next issue alive. We'll see.

thank you both for the compliments. Feedback is always appreciated, as every writer knows! Things aren't looking good right now for Dinah, I agree. All I can say is, next issue, I wouldn't read it anywhere near supper time.

Poor, poor Dinah. I bet what's coming up ain't gonna be pretty...but I know I'll definitely be tuning in. Great issue, and you did a great job making it feel like it was part of the saga rather than just a prelude...although I do think this is just the calm before the storm. Can't wait for next issue!

Well, THAT was unexpected! The whole dang team jumping into the Boom Tube? They're in for a surprise, eh? ;D The scenes with the Gambler seem tacked on -- I know we're leading to bigger things post-Crisis (Good Lord, DC2 now has a pre and post-Crisis continuity! ) but it might have been worked in better. The Starfish Casino? Named for Star City, or a wink and nudge to Starro the Conquerer, the JLA's first villain? Either way, not bad. BTW all you folks who responded in the lettercol but did not vote on the issue...shame on you! I was the first to vote but the fourth to post here, so you must have read it, or are you some sort of weirdo that just likes to write to random lettercols? C'mon, people, you just push a lil' button! (that was for you, Brian )

Thanks Apprentice for your thoughts and comments. When I was given the chance to write Ollie and company, I was informed of the crisis and wanted to make sure that one of the sub-plots was there from the beginning. I'm glad you thought it worked well, that way.
Susan, the IXE (and the proceeding issue's) did cause me to shift some things around, so I did feel that bringing in the Gambler and The Deck, before the you know what hit the fan, was important. But you're right, it probably could have been put together better.
Starfish Hotel and Casino is named after Starfish Island, where Ollie was shipwrecked and where he first learned to use the bow.
As always, thank you, you're comments, as well as many others, means a lot! Writing is a learning process that is made better by the comments of fellow writers.
And speaking of the name of the hotel and lounge. Congratulations to Charlie and Brandon for winning our contest! Of course, will there be a hotel to come back to, is the question...?

I thought you were pimping a bit of attention for The Question then, but then I realized you were just asking a question... Heh.

Great read Brian. That Vigalante sure knows how to change the subject when he doesn't want to talk about something.

"Did you and Huntress have sex?" "I killed a man." "Uh... Right Adrian. But that doesn't answer my question." "Stabbed him through the heart. With a trident." "Ok Adrian, uh... Right..."
