A taste of the next issue of Powers, Inc. titled Chinese Democracy.
The newly rebuilt Powers Towers glistened in the blue San Francisco sky. Construction was officially complete only fourteen months after the Apokolips Crisis, a true testament to the noble San Franciscan spirit. Had the building stood in ruins, then the demons really had won.
And Steel knew that was not an option. Too many people had fallen, heroes had died, and sacrifices were made. Now, was a time to celebrate life. Victory.
Hank Heywood had personally overseen that every beam, brick, and bolt was perfect. In his mind was the schematics of the original tower. He had memorized it. Redesigned it. It was better than before. Better. Stronger. Faster. He smiled, whistling the Andy Griffith theme song.
He was content. He was home again. His team was reunited... Sort of.
Their home was complete... Now it was time to rebuild the family.

A taste of the next issue of Powers, Inc. titled Chinese Democracy. Chinese Democracy...? Is that a dig at Guns -N- Roses? Is it because it's taken so long to get the latest issue of Powers Inc. out?

Suicide Squad Annual #1.5 WILL post this weekend. Will it be worth the wait? That will be for you to decide. As promised the finale of the Suicide Squad Annual has finally posted. You can now read the entire story the way it was originally intended! If you haven't read the first part please do because none of it will make sense except for the two super cool images by Craig and the super hot alternate cover by Doc. If you do manage to read through the entirely too long story please let me know what you think!

The second issue of Götterdämmerung (along with some more supplemental materiel--- Secret Files, character pin-ups and 3 pieces of interior art by Ramon Villalobos) is now up--- and if you liked the first issue, this one will knock your socks off! Below is an excerpt, and a look at the fantastic cover, by Craig Cermak and Ramon Villalobos: ...Now the Lantern Lords dedicated themselves to protecting their homeworld from space, and the extraterrestrial threats that mysteriously seemed to grow in menace and frequency every year. From their Emerald Citadel on the moon, they were all that stood between Earth and cosmic annihilation. Their vigil was tireless, and apparently never-ending--- for some reason, the universe seemed to be throwing everything it had at Earth, as if the small blue and green world was a cosmic stain that needed to be wiped out.
Thus far, they had hurled back into space everything the cosmos threw at them.
All of which made the Lantern Lords the most feared, battle-hardened warriors in the universe.
“Khunds are fierce fighters, but they’re not too bright.” Hal told them, keeping his eyes forward. “They’ll just throw everything they have at us and go for the fast knockout blow.”
“That maneuver we used against the Gordanians last year, then.” John Stewart said, nodding confidently. “Everyone remember?” He was a master tactician, and they all deferred to his superior strategic skill.
“We remember, John. That should work brilliantly.” Alan rotated and faced them all. The power of the Starheart kept him youthful, and only his platinum hair, the color of pure, cold starlight, seemed any indication of his age, which was well over a century. He met each of their eyes, and nodded almost imperceptible reassurance. His own eyes, once blue, glittered now like hard flecks of jade.
He lowered his ring-manifested sword, extending it towards them, and they all followed suit, crossing blades. Energy crackled and danced where the blades met, and together they recited their oath:
In farthest space, in reaches deep, eternal watch I swear to keep Against the threats that never sleep, beware the swords Of the Lantern Lords!
Green flame ran the length of Alan’s sword and ignited the others. Turning, they faced the enemy, archangels of Earth, blazing in the black of space like a gauntlet thrown down in challenge.
