I do believe... The Flash #9 and Action Comics #6. There are others, but these select few are poorly written starting points. Some of my earliest stuff, but heavy on the foreshadowing in parts, but full of Zero Hour goodness that you have to look hard to see.
Zero Hour #6, coming soon, is where the COUNTDOWN begins.

The howl echoed through the halls, sound bouncing off the walls, into the rooms, and into the heads of the residents of the House of Mystery. The magicians and warlocks of over twenty nine dimensions emerged from their rooms in various states, some dressed, some not, some in their natural forms and confused by the sudden noise.
Richard Occult was the only one fully dressed, fully ready, fully aware. In his hand, glistening in the witching hour light, his Sigil of Seven. Black and red power coalesced in the dimness.
“Everyone leave,” he said, slowly. “There’s a Black Dog loose in the House of Mystery.”

This month, in Wonder Woman #23... Elsewhere: [/b][/center] “Oh, this is ridiculous.” Ares glanced around in the whiteness, his irritation growing at his imprisonment. He had walked for what could have been days, but this place had no discernible end to it, and no matter how far he walked, or leapt, or jogged, there was always more whiteness. He had shed his armour by now, hoping to use it as markers, and he was left wearing his pressed black shirt and trousers, and as he looked behind him, he saw his war armour sitting on the white ground. Was it ground though? Was it ground because he had to believe he was standing on something, or was the whiteness a void without depth or distance, as it appeared to be? He sighed, and fingered the hilt of his sword, and then continued to walk. He was the God of War, and somehow he had become trapped in a place beyond reason. It would be delicious, if it weren’t happening to him, he thought.

The most epic title in the DC2 universe has finally arrived. In 2006, they rocked the DC2 in "The Apokolips Imperative"
In 2008...they've come back to do it again "“Genesis is still dead. And now Highfather is gone too. It’s twilight for our people!"
*
"We’re with the DEO. You’re under arrest for crimes against humanity."
*
"You mortals DARE to judge the Gods?”"
*
"The path Orion begins today will be cataclysmic to not only our reality, but all realities, and will quite possibly bring the Fourth World to its dénouement."
*
NEW GODS #1- 16.04.08
"Let us show the Dog of War how true GODS do battle!"

I just had to show off the fantastic cover by Carlos (iSketch, at the DC3) with editing and dressing by our own Riz, and so with it, a snippet of the story to come. Starting this week, at the DC3: James Barr soared above the clouds. The expression on his face was one of pure joy as he felt the wind buffeting his skin. He swooped and he looped and he spun dizzily as he felt the freedom only three dimensions of movement can offer a person. White clouds skated past him as he dropped back down to see the city spires spread out below him and then swooped back up through the icy wet cloud cover again. He felt the energies flowing around him, over him and past him as he continued his joyous soaring. The conical metal helmet on his head caused a tingling in his scalp from the concentration of power that it caused, but he didn’t mind. It energized him in ways he’d never imagined. He felt strong for the first time in his life, and felt freer than he ever had before. More than that, equations and theorems raced through his mind in incredible amounts, as the energy connected paths in his brain that had never existed before. He felt like he could reach out and touch the very spirit of God as he thought about existence and the equations that made it up. This was more than he ever dreamed of, and he soared upwards, higher and higher. It was only when his breathing grew difficult, and he shivered that he noticed that he was near the edge of space. He stopped propelling himself upwards, and let himself gently free-fall back to the planet, catching waves of energy to slow and control his descent from time to time. In due course, he spotted the city below him again and pulled his hands out in front of him then darted for his home. The speed was incredible, and he felt like his grin would never leave his face. He’d found the orichalcum that built his helmet, and then found that he had access to power unknown in this modern age. Now it was time for step two. He needed to develop an identity, a costume and a name and a persona, because no way he could be James Barr. His wife was too public and too involved in the law to not disguise his activities. And more than that, his wife would wring his neck.

Somewhere in Time “And so it begins,” a voice stated, looking at the two other figures in the room. “It began a long time ago,” Figure #2 said with a wry smile. “We’re just getting to the real meat of the situation. Finally.” “When I was approached by... him... I would never have imagined that this could all be true,” Figure #3 told them. “I mean... I had my suspicions... some scientific theory... but... this is too fantastic to believe sometimes.” “You had BETTER believe it pal. Even if you are younger than the rest of us,” Figure #2 said. “You both realize that we’re all in danger. He is after us all,” Figure #1 said, sounding grim. “Right now all we can do is stay alert and hope this plan works.” “Do you think it will?” Figure #3 asked. “No,” Figure #1 replied. “In fact, I expect that this is the not really the beginning... but actually the end. Of everything.” “We’ll see,” Figure #2 responded. “One thing we know for sure... after this... everything changes.” The three figures nodded and took their leave of each other. And somewhere... the skies turned red. READ COUNTDOWN TO ZERO HOUR. TRUST US.

Come and check out one of the hidden gems of the DC3, Earth-Five's Ultimate Speed Force, Flash family action and Rogue cunning combined into a high octane, fun series! Check out this clip from the latest issue, "Cadence of Arms" and then click on the link and check out the whole run! The Streets of Central City 1:33 PM He ran. Pushing himself faster than he ever had before, the maroon streak raced across the streets of Central City towards Iron heights prison as fast as his legs could carry him. Every second that passed only increased the tension and the need to go faster. The Flash knew all too well what a riot could lead to, and if the prisoners escaped their cells it would be nearly impossible to keep them from spilling out into the city. .Iron Heights was built for containment, but if the prisoners rushed the perimeter, there was little to keep them from the city. He had to prevent that at all costs. As the ran, he could see a storm brewing on the horizon. It formed suddenly and swiftly, a few drops of rain suddenly became a deluge, as lightning ripped across the sky and thunder boomed in the canyons of the city. It wasn’t long before the rain turned to sleet, which only forced Wally to run further and faster, even as the roadways became more and more treacherous to race along.. A klaxon sounded across the cityscape, as concerned citizens throughout the Sister Cities looked towards the hulking structure of the prison visible on the horizon even as they fled the increasingly unpredictable weather. Drills had been run over the years and the citizenry knew that was a sign to rush inside, and did so. “How far away are you, son?” Wally, reacted to the voice of Jay Garrick, tapping a communications panel built into his hood and spoke. “About thirty seconds,” he said, even his voice straining a little as he ran. “I’ll join you shortly,” Jay warned through the receiver. “You’d better hurry, Weather Wizard seems to have gotten control of his wand already.” Wally cautioned as he continued to push himself even harder, the buildings and landmarks of Central City blurred beyond recognition as he ran. “It’s getting messy out here. What have you found?” “Jesse hacked into the security cameras. We can only see about 50% of the facility, but we know they’ve taken hostages.” Inside Quickstart Enterprises, Jay Garrick paced nervously as Jesse Chambers sat behind a computer, typing furiously. “We need to get more,” Wally insisted into the microphone. “I’m working on it.” Jesse chided, showing irritation. Jesse was in her early thirties, tall and blonde, even though she’d given up the hero game almost a decade earlier, she still had the same runner’s frame all the speedsters seemed to share. “Send smoke signals, call Oracle, do what ever you need to do, Jesse,” Wally commented, starting to show a little irritation. Trying to redirect his attentions he started to speak to Jay once more. “You know this can’t have been spontaneous. They’re too well organized. I’m telling you the Rogues must be involved. We let them get too comfortable.” Jay sighed, he couldn’t disagree. “Between Gardner Street and the ferry disaster, this city’s been taking a real beating,” the elder speedster finally admitted. “But this doesn’t seem to be the Rogues style, Wally.” “Unless they’re using this to cover something even bigger.” With that revelation, Wally knew that he couldn’t afford the luxury of stopping and felt his muscles searing as he pushed them further than he had in some time. He couldn’t help but notice Jay Garrick’s silence on the other end, “Jay?” “It just got worse,” Jay spoke finally in Wally’s ear. “How can it get worse?,” Wally asked as he left the crowded city center and headed towards the riverfront, the Flash felt the cool breeze coming off the water and knew he could finally cut loose. “That is Bart’s class is there, isn’t it?” Wally went wide-eyed, remembering his cousin talking about the trip to the prison. “We’ve got to tell Iris.” “I’m sure she’s already gotten word, son. I’ll meet you at the prison. We’ll get him, and everyone else, out of there. Garrick out.” With a loud crack, the maroon speedster shattered the sound barrier as he ran, no longer needing to fear the shattering of windows or damage to buildings from the impact. Wally only hoped he and Jay could make it there in time.
