I say he is a Hero. But I also say that DC now has a public figure head that the fans can yell at, like Marvel now has Joe Quesada. People can cuss at them for everything that is wrong or right with their favorite comic books. The 52 series is a block buster event that Marvel can't even forward. Marvel can't do a weekly series, but Didio and DC proved that it can be done.

Arcalian: I haven't really read up on Terra II at all so the point I made in the other thread wasn't to detract from her. I know that for every character there is someone who digs it so no reason to dismiss any of them.
To the testament of the character's coolness, the version they presented on the Teen Titans cartoon was very likable and my oldest daughter absolutely loved her (she cosplayed her one year at Chicago Con and met Marv Wolfman who seemed very amused at her costume). So when the betrayal came it hit her hard. She was in disbelief and was waiting for the story that wrote it all off on Slade but it never came. It was sad to see it break her heart but it was really well done and one of the more powerful stories I've seen in animation. I just wish they had more time to explore their Terra 2 as was hinted at in the last episode.

Funny, I thought the cartoon *did* write off Terra's evilness as being Slade's fault, as in, manipulated by him, which was why at the end she chose to sacrifice herself to save the day.
And going by what Murakami has said in interviews, that last episode was the way of writing *her* off, as in, she was someone who wasn't really able to handle having powers in the first place. That said, their echo of DC's Terra 2 was eerie, because after they retconned out Wolfman's explanation of her alternate-timeline origin, it was heavily implied that Terra 2 is in fact Terra 1 but just *doesn't remember*, by way of a memory wipe.
52 however, I rather suspect will restore those memories....and then it's lights out and game over.
I promise to shut up about this now, until I get the chance to write the character myself. I'll stop hijacking this thread. KSM or anybody else wanna talk to me about it, feel free to PM me.

Wow... what a thread. So many opinions, so little time to throw in my 2 cents!
I've enjoyed DC more in the post-IC than I have in the past, maybe, 10 years.
Lowlites include: Bart as FLASH (who the @$#& thought that would be a good idea?) The great Nightwing Debacle Hawkgirl (just 'cuz a cartoon can make the character interesting in a quasi-solo manner, does not mean the character should have a solo book... and what's with the art? Has the artist ever actually seen breasts before? Judging from how he draws them I'd say his only experience would be with Porn)
Highlights: GL Superman Action Comics Blue Beetle 52 ...and the list goes on.
I read more DC now than ever before (if that was possible). Though the re-re-re-boot was completely unnecessary and did nothing for me but initially piss me off, I think the LSH found it's footing a while ago. The stories have been good... not as good as they were before said re-booting, but what can you do? This does beg the question though... if the re-boot is cannon... what the Hell is Starboy, Dreamgirl & Dawnstar doing in JSofA?
52 has been awesome. There has been a lot of death and destruction, but a great story. What does this have to do with Terra though? She, as far as I've noticied, hasn't even made an appearance. And why does it matter for a character that hasn't been seen in a coon's age anyway? I'd think a little attention would be better than none at all...
I have a lot of faith in Countdown since Dini is spearheading it. Though the title concerns me. Just what are we counting down to? God only knows & it'll be about a year from now before we even have a hint.
Didio's bonehead moves of late:
Cancelling Firestorm & Green Arrow.

Cancelling Firestorm & Green Arrow. quoted for truth! although not a fan of Winnicks GA, I hate to see it cancelled. Of course it they start a new one with GA/BC as DC's version of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, that would be worth it.
