I'm not sure if this was posted in the JLU thread, even though this has nothing to do with JLU, but I decided to make a thread for it. There's a new game being developed right now called Justice League Heroes and it looks mightly awesome. You can play as Zatanna, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, The Flash, Green Arrow (JLU Version) and Superman and Batman. You can also unlock Green Arrow and one other character I'm not quite sure of. Go check it out at justiceleagueheroes.warnerbros.com/

yeah i just checked it out and it could be pretty good OR it could be like most every other dc comics based game and suck. i am hoping for the latter. I also checked up and it said that you would be able to unlock FOUR other characters but none have been revealed yet so... yeah.
any guess/predictions/hopes who the four may be?

I think Hal Jordan is one of the unlockable characters, I don't know if that's actually been confirmed or not though.
Hopefully DC can start putting out good games like Marvel has been doing for the past couple years. Both JLH and Superman Returns look promising, so maybe we'll see some DC games worth buying this year.

They should have unlockable alternate costumes for each character, too. Like in X-Men Legends:
Superman - Fleischer cartoon costume
Wonder Woman - Golden Age costume with skirt
Green Lantern - Hal Jordan costume (original)
Flash - Barry Allen costume
Zatanna - George Perez costume with the red dragon thing on head
Martian Manhunter - Justice Lords costume from JLU
Batman - Blue-and-grey costume with the yellow oval bat-logo (My favorite Batman costume) ;D
Green Arrow - Longbow Hunters costume.
And as for any unlockable possibilities...
Aquaman - Orange shirt costume, and unlockable Viking look.
Hal Jordan - Current costume and unlockable original costume with green on shoulders.
Firestorm - Current look with unlockable Ronnie Raymond look
Hawkman - Current costume with unlockable Silver Age costume
Hawkgirl/Hawkwoman - Current outfit with unlockable Silver Age costume
Elongated Man - Red-and-blue costume with unlockable lavender-and-white costume.
Captain Atom - Current outfit with unlockable CoIE look

Yeah, I'm pretty mad there's no Gamecube version oh yeah thats because it has been confirmed a numerous times in the past that nintendo totally sucks. Tim: I hope so but thinking back other than the spiderman and legends I don't recall any big hits they have had recently. rise flopped miserably, x-3 was standard hack n slash, and forget any of the other moive games like punisher and the original hulk game movie. i remember Hulk got a lot of good reviews but i never played it myself. l1701e: That would be cool, it would be better too if the gameplay doesnt suck and its actually fun to play over in different costumes... unlike batman begins which was hardly exciting enough to get me through it the first time.

The only thing the Aquaman game had going for it was the unlockable costumes. You start as the PAD version, beat it once and you get the orange shirt, beat it again and you get to play as Tempest. Some of the character designs were cool in that, but otherwise not the best game.
Spider-man 2 was a pretty fun game. It could have stood to have a little more variety of play but the challenges were cool. The best one was having to knock out Mysterio's hologram over the Statue of Liberty.
One superhero game I've wanted to try was the Batman game that came out years ago called Dark Vengence I think. It was like the Bruce Timm cartoon but in a 3D enviroment. *goes off to eBay*

I guess I was just thinking of the Marvel games that I've played, Spiderman 2, Ultimate Spiderman, Xmen Legends, the Hulk games also looked pretty good. Either way, Marvel has a better record with their games than DC, who hasn't had a good game in a long time.

I rented that game when it came out. However, I was wee, and I couldnt quite think of how to find the Joker at like the fifth level. i could finish the Mr Freeze level because my screen kept... Freezing. But it was an awesome game! Seriously should have kept it...

I think I'm gonna go rent it today if Blockbuster still holds it, which I doubt they do. For some reason I enjoyed it. You could probably just buy Vengeance for a cheaper price. It's actually a really cool game.

Hulk Ultimate Destruction is a fun bash everything game. X-men Legends are pretty sweet. Ultimate Spiderman is the best Spiderman game since the N64 Spiderman game. That one has Spidey, Daredevil, Cap, and Punisher playing cards at the end. Fun game. Wolverine's Revenge is one of my favorite marvel games.
on the DC side Superman has a couple of decent games. PS2 Superman Animated series is pretty good and the XBox one with the Ed McGinnius (spelling) designs are not to bad. Batman has had some pretty sad games. Rise of Sin Zue was really boring. Dark Vengence wasn't much different. Batman Begins was at least playable. Sega Genesis had a decent Batman game.
Anyone remember the Atari 2600 Superman game? I remember picking parts of a bridge up and putting together and Luthor flying around in a helicopter.

IGN has a couple pictures of Green Arrow and some gameplay footage that the official site doesn't have for those who care...
I would really like them to have Huntress as an unlockable character but she probably won't be in a game for like three decades at DC rates.
I think Black Canary would be more probable. I mean, her Canary Cry would make an awesome move in the game and if you have GA, you gotta have BC.

ha i went there the other day and i didnt see it.
yeah, canary is definitely more probably because i think also she is more popular. I think Red Tornado would be cool here because essentially they could just reuse the flash stuff but with a tornado around the guy.

I was so dissapointed when EA announced that SR would not be out 'till fall. I was all set to preorder but I think I'll wait for the reviews. JL looks cool too. EA has said that the SR games is gonna break the Superman Game curse. We'll see, we'll see.

Wouldn't it be awesome to be able to play as the "factions" of the Justice League, ala JLU? Giffen/DeMatteiss (sp?), Detroit, Seven Soldiers, etc? It's be fan-freaking-tastic

That would be cool, but it would'nt happen. i know what you mean though, in one of the x men games, you could play as different eras like the originals and from the 80's and stuff

As for unlockables, Hal Jordan would be cool, Black Canary is a possibility, Martian Manhunter, and maybe one of the Hawks (Hawkman, Hawkgirl)

The N64 Spiderman game. That one has Spidey, Daredevil, Cap, and Punisher playing cards at the end. Fun game. They also made it for the PS1... However it would take about a year to unlock all the costumes, but other wise, good game

Has anyone else been keeping track of this game? I have! lol. Below is the list of unlockable characters so don't read anything further if you feel it'll spoiler the game for you. ____________________________________________________ The unlockable characters are: Aquaman - hopefully he'll be better in this game than we was in his own title that was realised a couple years back. Green Arrow - Sweet! Hawkgirl - No Hawkman? Say what? She's getting all the attention these days. . . Huntress - I can't believe we actually got Huntress! That is sooo awesome! Looks like we got her three decades earlier than I thought! Hal Jordan - Kyle Rayner - Isn't he a Latern person thingy too? I don't keep up on all them Lanterns. PSP Exclusives Supergirl - it's not Kara, it's the other Supergirl, who's name I've forgotten right now. Black Canary - Why in God's name is she not on the console version? So there you have it folks! The game comes out on October 17 so start saving your pennies!

The unlockable characters are: Aquaman - hopefully he'll be better in this game than we was in his own title that was realised a couple years back. Sweet. Very sweet. Hawkgirl - No Hawkman? Say what? She's getting all the attention these days. . . Hey, the gal's gotten quite popular thanks to being on JLU. Huntress - I can't believe we actually got Huntress! That is sooo awesome! Looks like we got her three decades earlier than I thought! Again, thank JLU. They did a couple great eps with her and Question. Hal Jordan - I'm an old-school man, so yes, Hal is my favorite GL. You should read Green Lantern: Rebirth and the new Green Lantern comic. It's great. Kyle Rayner - Isn't he a Latern person thingy too? I don't keep up on all them Lanterns. Yes, he is. He's one of the more controversial members of the Green Lantern Corps. PSP Exclusives Supergirl - it's not Kara, it's the other Supergirl, who's name I've forgotten right now. I think it's the Linda Danvers Supergirl, the one from Peter David's Supergirl run. Black Canary - Why in God's name is she not on the console version? I like BC, and I agree, Chesh. GA and BC belong together. Why in God's name did the comics break them up? So there you have it folks! The game comes out on October 17 so start saving your pennies! I have over 100 bucks saved up. Good thing I decided to start saving up loose change. ;D

Wouldn't it be awesome to be able to play as the "factions" of the Justice League, ala JLU? Giffen/DeMatteiss (sp?), Detroit, Seven Soldiers, etc? It's be fan-freaking-tastic Maybe it'll be like X-Men Legends. You only had a certain amount of characters and unlockables, but then in two it was a bunch of characters and possibilities. If Heroes do well enough, maybe JLH2 will be even better with all kinds of Leaguers and possiblities. I just hope the gameplay is fun, because I'm really wary of DC games. And as far as Spiderman goes, I have to disagree on his best game. Simply because of the controls and settings, I have to say I think Spiderman 2 for PS2 and X-Box was the best for being Spiderman. Sure it had bad Tobey voiceovers, but the feel of it was uncanny. If they could combine the N64/ PSOne and Ultimate Spiderman elements of the Marvel world, and the cool unlockables, and use the New York map and controls of Spiderman 2, the Spider-world would be in Heaven. In DC's games make a good mark on the gaming world, what games do you think will follow? Do you think they can make a sucessful Green Lantern or Flash game? I think the two of them are so outthere that it'd be a bit hard to capture some of their greatness, especially if the GLs have limited constructs. If you think about it, Martian Manhunter would make for a really good game. He has some of the coolest powers that you can use in a video game. Shapeshifting morphs that he do for undercover stuff or for defense, invisibility and phasing for stealth missions, super strength and martian vision for offense, and telepathy for mentally subduing foes or stealing information that can help the story progress or unlock cool stuff (imagine that you check a game FAQ and find that if you mind-rape a guard on the second floor in the bathroom you can unlock a bonus FMV or costume or whatever). What do you think?

I would think that a Flash game is a good possibility if they are still making the movie.

I wonder the gameplay would be like for the Flash. Most likely some kind of slow motion/ "Bullet Time" feature (like every other game). It'd be cool if they did that, and did it creatively. Like since Wally has the ability to steal speed, maybe your bullet time is you stealing speed from objects around you. Like everything around you is still moving, but the villians and their bullets are hanging in the air. Or if something crashes, you steal teh speed from the car or van and it floats in mid-air as you save people one at a time.

I forsee pressing two buttons and doing a dash attack. maybe they have some other generic looking powers but i don't see it being to innovative.
