BTW, this is just a promo pic; although the line-up will be picked from that, this is not intended to give any clues to identities or events after IC. I think the member to be on the JLA thta isn't in that pic is gonna be J'onn...how can you have a JLA without J'onn?
BTW, Idle, that is one heck of a line-up!

I read that J'onn won't be in it either. My guess is that it will be closer to the silver age group.

When I spoke with Chris Batista, he said it was going to be a core group of 3:
Aquaman (leader) GL (Hal) GA
With a rotating group of members...
That was a while ago, and now that the OYL Aquaman isn't the same dude we've grown to know & love, I think Batista was yanking my chain...

Who's to say they won't have Classic Aquaman in the JLA and New Aquaman in the regular title.

But he's not dead. I've heard nothing of him dying. Are you making stuff up?

I don't think Arthur is dead... Here's my Aquaman theory...
cue the music!
The new guy is Aquaman's son, thought long dead at the hands of Black Manta!
I have no proof, this is just an idea! I mean Hell, Koryak just died... can't the guy have one child that lives???

I agree, Scott. Same name, similar appearance... there's some connection. Either son or clone or brother or something like that. Kurt Busiek has talked a lot about the different versions Aquaman (three so far) and has a great fondness for the Golden Age version. That version being the one where he's the human son of Arthur Curry the scientist, without any Atlantis connection at all, so that is something to consider.

One way or another, I'd like to see at least Power Girl used. They went through so much trouble to give her attention and I think if she's back on the JLA, and given attention, she might be even more popular then just her ...eyes....*coughs*

I'm pretty sure that our Arthur, the one we've grown to love over the years, is now this squid-headed 'Dweller in the Depths' a theory I had after reading the B&W advance of #40 at Wizard World LA... made stronger after seeing the color version & his left 'water hand'. Then in the latest issue, #41, he has this whole 'Mera can't see me' shtick. Could it be any more obvious? So I guess the Aquaman we know won't be in the JLA. Those... eyes... do tend to distract from everything else, don't they?

Those are cover images for 52. Doesn't really indicate they will be connected to the JLA. The Galactus guy there is a New Gods villain named Devilance the Pursuer. He fought the Infinity Man in the last issue of Forever People (original series), and is someone you may see again before too long. ;D Check out the other covers that give us the first peek at Supernova (I've heard a rumor that we might get the lowdown on this character on Monday) and on the cover with Black Adam.... ISIS!!!

Is Supernova the superheroine with Adam and [I think} Animal Man? And he does look a lot like Galactus...

No, is the one saving Clark. The one you say is starfire.

Right. One cover has Supernova saving Clark Kent. One has Black Adam and Isis. And the other has Starfire, Animal Man, and Adam Strange facing down Devilance.
Devilance is similar to Galactus because they were both cosmic characters created by Jack Kirby. He's larger there maybe because there used to be some thing about the New Gods being larger in size but when they travelled to Earth in boomtubes they were size-adjusted and vice versa for Earth heroes going the other way. Maybe because the heroes arrived there non-boomtube there is the size differential. When Devilance last fought the Inifinity Man the resulting explosion stranded them on Adon (IM's homeworld) so there is a good chance that is where those heroes are stranded.
