That is a great cover! I'm becoming sold on this new Beetle design pretty quickly. (sorry Ted) And look at all those Earths back there. I wonder what those are for? ;D

Just checked the DC solicits and it looks as though they've moved IC #5 back from February to the first week in March. So no IC this month.

That and I thought all the oone year later books were coming AFTER IC. But a lot of them start next month... WTF??? So while the fate of the Universe hangs in the balance in IC... everything has already, for the most part, been resolved in each characters book? For example, next issue of Nightwing shows the infamous NW with the Jason Todd dagger, but NW (Dick) is still alive & kicking in the IC??? Hell, we still have new issues released with Kyle Rayner as Green Lantern, yet he's already Ion in the Rann Thanagar War special. Continuity is getting incredibly screwed up here! I'm almost inclined to wait until every tie in has been released and THEN read it all in order.
I too am starting to doubt that DC can pull off 52 and make it still relevant.

I will read what I feel the urge to read... But I dunno. I'll support 52 regardless.
THE QUESTION!

Well I've finally picked up my books for the last two weeks so this weekend will be full of reading and writing. I glanced over some of them and I have to agree with you LL, it's really starting to look shakey. However, I'm probably in it for the long hall.

oh please don't open that up for brandon and those other guys... they don't understand why it would not be as cool as one earth.

everyone on one earth is far superior. whether it be earth one or earth... one, its better to have the cast on ONE playing feild. leaves too much room for bad continuity decisions otherwise.

LIke I said before, we already have a multi-verse... it is called elseworlds. Should we have interaction between the regular DCU & the elseworlds universes? Maybe. Should they separate the JSA & stick them back on Earth 2? Hell no!

The Multiverse has always been there. Always. It hasn't been called the Multiverse, but it was there. Alternate Earths, timelines, pocket dimensions, etc. never went away.
And if you separate the characters back to their respective Earths what would it really change? You would most likely have JSA, Captain Marvel, and other Golden Age types in their own mags, which is pretty much how it's been over the last half decade or so anyway, and then all the rest of the DCU going on about it's business. Team-ups aren't hard and would probably be a little cooler if they happened less often. I don't know about you but I think Mark Waid ran the concept of Team Flash way, way, way into the ground.
And were there any continuity problems before the original Crisis? The only reason the Earths were smashed was because TPTB at DC thought it would be easier and simpler, and that has not been the case. And would it be confusing? Marvel does just fine with Earths 616, Ultimate, Squadron Supreme, New Universe, etc. DC has been just fine with DC Earth and Wildstorm Earth.
It would break down just like this. The JSA titles = Earth 2. Everything else = Earth 1. I'm not seeing the drawbacks guys. ;D
Seriously, I'm not sure how it will all play out, but for awhile, just a little while, I think it would be fun to have the DCU back to the way it was.

Ah, but the Marvel Universes don't interact, and their MAIN characters inhabit one main universe, and it works for them, so you've just ruined your argument.
*nods*
or something.

Ramon, "cowbell" is eternal. Here's a bit from Rich Johnston's rumor mill, LITG, this week... "I understand that "Infinite Crisis #6" is to be delayed anything up to a month. There is industry speculation that this is to accommodate a reworking to suit that same audience. An initial ending would have seen a single Earth established, reflecting the original Crisis, but it looks like a new multiple Earth system is being devised instead." Read it here: www.comicbookresources.com/columns/?column=13Yeeessss, my precioussss. Multiverse! ;D
