Before I begin, I would like to say a short something about this project.
Whenever DC2 delivers a Who's Who, there is an amazing amount of work and talent that goes into an issue. It takes months of preparation, scouting around for writers and artists who want to bring their skills to the table and put forward their characters for profiling, and an editor who is willing to take control of this beast that can buck around randomly at the slightest inclination.
Brian Burchette volunteered his services early on, and due to events out of his control, he can't be the one posting it up today, but his direction and enthusiasm is apparent by the simple fact that you're reading this project. Without him, it wouldn't be here!
Anyway, enough with my ramblings, on to the profiles!

Written by Charles HoM Picture by Roy Flinchum & Tim Abramo BaneSecret Identity: Unknown Aliases: None First DC2 Appearance: DC2 Challenge #8 Base of Operations: Mobile HT: 6' 8" WT: 350 lbs. Eyes: Blue Hair: Brown Powers and abilities: Bane possesses near metahuman strength, and trains everyday to attain his physical ideal. He is resistant to damage, as his skin has adapted due to his use of Venom. He has a photographic memory, is a master escapologist, and has the tactical mind of a military genius. He can also kill a man with his pinky. You do not want to know how. He knows over seven languages, and has traveled the world to train himself to be the best he can be. History: Bane was the king of his world. Bane ran Peña Duro, the infamous Santa Priscan prison where he was born to serve his father's life sentence. And this didn't go unnoticed. The prison guards "volunteered" him for a process designed to make the ultimate soldier using stolen notes from America. No one had survived the experiment before. But Bane did. And he became better than he had ever been before. His strength increased times over. His stamina. His intelligence. He became the ultimate soldier in more ways than one. A military genius. The pinnacle of near post-human perfection. But the fact that this was achieved through artificial means disturbed him. With his new found power, he escaped Peña Duro, and took over the island nation covertly with thanks to the science-terrorist group known as HIVE. And when he was confronted in Santa Prisca by the American hero known as Batman, he knew that he was weak. He gave up his seat of power on the island. He starved himself of Venom. He starved himself of the artificial life blood that was pumped into his brain. He tore out the four needles that were driven into the base of his spine. He lived through the shakes, the vomiting, the pain as his cells screamed for the Venom. And out of this, he emerged a new man once more. Now, with strength borne out of his own rage and anger, and with a mind scarred with the genius intellect inflicted upon him by the Venom trials, Bane is a force to be reckoned with. For the first time in his entire life, he is a complete thing. And Batman will be the first to witness his new found power.

Written by Brian Burchette Picture by Roy Flinchum & Tim Abramo Batman Secret Identity: Bruce Wayne Aliases: Many, including his most famous: Matches Malone First DC2 Appearance: Batman #0 Status: Hero Base of Operation: Gotham City Occupation: Industrialist and Philanthropist HT: 6'2' WT: 210 lbs Eyes: Blue Hair: Black Powers and Abilities: A Master Detective and quite possibly the greatest martial artist in the world, Batman is equipped with the newest and most technologically advanced equipment to help him in his fight against evil. His uniform is bulletproof and contains many devices that help him while on the streets and rooftops of Gotham City. History: The son of Gotham City's most influential family, an eight-year-old Bruce Wayne watched as his parents were murdered during a robbery in an alley after a night at the opera. Bruce was raised by the family butler, and good friend, Alfred Pennyworth, in accordance with his parents' wishes. Well into his teens, Bruce discovered that Wayne Mansion sat upon a series of caves and caverns. It was then that the idea that had been brewing in the back of his mind came to fruition. He spent the rest of his adolescence focusing on his studies and beginning his work on honing his body. After graduating from college, Bruce left Gotham for several years, his whereabouts, to this day, still unknown. When he returned as a young man, he had become quieter, darker even. With the help of Alfred, he created the now famous Batcave, as well as his first vehicle. During this time, he chose the guise of a bat and built a suit accordingly, believing that the symbol would bring fear into the hearts of criminals. It wasn't long before the streets of Gotham were swarming with rumors of the vigilante known as The Batman. Then, one evening while at the visiting circus, Bruce witnessed the murder of the Flying Graysons… leaving just one survivor; their young son, Richard. He took the young man in and trained him, in hopes that his need for vengeance could be redirected into justice. Although a bit headstrong, Richard became the perfect partner, and soon developed the persona of Robin, the Boy Wonder. Their partnership lasted through most of Richard's teenage years, until one night when, disobeying direct orders from Bruce, Barbara Gordon ( Batgirl) and Dick Grayson ( Robin) went after The Joker on their own and were nearly beaten to death. That same night, The Joker also shot and killed Julie Madison, a woman Bruce had fallen in love with and was planning on marrying. Batman shut them out, after that, causing both of them to leave Gotham for greener pastures. Batman continued on his own, until he began to meet and work with other heroes like himself. Eventually, due to a crisis that involved Darkseid, he joined them on a more permanent basis and become one of the founding members of The Justice League! Recently, it has been revealed that Dick Grayson was not the first person to become Batman's partner, and that he once had a young man by the name of Jason Todd work with him, until Jason's supposed death at the hands of The Wraith. Even more recently, Bruce Wayne's new neighbor, Jack Drake, was revealed to be a DEO Agent when he was killed by Black Mask in the line of duty. Against his better judgment, Bruce has agreed to bring Drake's young son, Timothy, into his home as his ward. Although young Tim Drake has learned Bruce's secret, he has promised to carry the secret to his grave. Batman continues his never-ending battle against the villains of Gotham, both the bizarre and the mundane. If they do wrong in his city, he will always be there to stop them and protect the innocent.

After graduating high school early, she created her own costume and began sneaking out to fight crime on her own, as Batgirl. After saving Dick Grayson's life, she was accepted into the fold of Batman's community. She was then trained for a few years by the Dark Knight. Following reports of a crime by The Joker, Batgirl took it upon herself to hunt the Crown Prince of Crime down, although she had been ordered by Batman to stay away. She was ultimately captured by the villain, along with Robin, and both were brutally beaten. Although both were saved by Batman, this caused a rift between the three of them that ended up splitting the trio for good. While Dick Grayson moved to New York, Barbara went west and moved to Las Vegas, where she joined up with Green Arrow and Black Canary to form The New Outsiders. She is currently the leader of the team of heroes, and, after a recent visit from her father, who revealed that he had known of her secret identity for some time, chose to change her name to the more adult version of Batwoman. A research scientist, Chantal helped develop what she believed was an irresistible perfume, in truth it was to be an untraceable chemical weapon. Not knowing the truth about the toxic substance, Chantal continued testing it on herself. During that time Chantal fell in love with the head of the research department, Andre Monteau. Sometime later she discovered she was pregnant. Not wanting to put her babies at risk Chantal quit when she was four months along. Unable to continue the research without Chantal's input Andre told his superiors that the research had been suspended. The CEO of Fire Fox responded by ordering him to continue the research at any cost. Fearing that Chantal life was in danger Andre went to her and revealed everything to her about the chemical weapon and that Fire Fox was actually a front for a large terrorist network. The truth cost him his life as he was killed right before Chantal's eyes. Managing to escape the same fate, Chantal went into hiding until her baby girls were born. Soon after she sought revenge against those responsible for Andre's death. She too paid the price with her own life. Years later the twin girls learned the truth about their parents and sought revenge of their own. Both Vivian and Constance took different approaches; one became a costumed hero, while the other became a CEO of a cosmetics company. Together that managed to shut down Fire Fox and avenge their parent's deaths. Being orphans and constantly shipped off from one foster home to another, the girls decided at an early age that if they were to ever have their freedom the world would have to believe that there was only one of them. With that thought, Vivian ceased to exist and they shared the role of Constance never again being seen in public together. For awhile they would often switch places for days on end with each other but as they grew older, Constance became more involved with expanding her corporate empire and no longer wanted to trade places with her sister; thus leaving Vivian to go solo as Crimson Fox becoming Frances favorite daughter and hero. The Future: Vivian joins the newly formed Global Guardians and becomes a fulltime hero while Constance continues down a dark and twisted path. When the truth is finally revealed will Constance be able to save her twin or will it be the death of her?

History: Yu was found lying outside of a Shaolin temple as a baby. A kindly monk took him in, and, as Yu grew older, the monk realized that the child possessed great powers and, that such power, if unharnessed, could prove to be very dangerous. Over the years, Yu meditated daily, learning to control his powers over the five Chinese elements. Upon reaching the age of fourteen, Yu's master suddenly disappeared, and Yu set out on a quest to find him. During that time, not long after the Apokoliptian invasion of Earth, Yu found that the elements led him to New York. There, he encountered the Teen Titans, led by Donna Troy, helping to rebuild the city. With his powers to move Earth, he helped the Titans in healing the wounds that the devices of Apokolips had left on the Earth, and stayed with the Titans for another year, becoming firm friends with some of the other new Titans that joined around that time. However, as time rolled on, the Teen Titans' activities turned from saving the city and helping people to fighting against villains, or heroes, or even themselves, and so, one day, Yu decided that he was no longer needed and it was time to leave and continue his quest to find his master. It was while trying to talk Element out of that decision, that his best friend - the self-proclaimed Man of Wood, The Woodchucker - was transformed into gold by the villainess Shimmer. Since that time, having finally given up on his attempts to track down Shimmer, he's now thrown himself into the seemingly impossible task of tracking down his master; hoping against hope that his master might be able to teach him how to use his powers to restore his golden friend. Yu was last sighted in Las Vegas.

Written by Grant LaFleche Picture by Ramon Villalobos Red X Secret Identity: Jason William Todd Aliases: Redwing First DC2 Appearance: Batman - City of Crime #4 Base of Operations: Gotham City HT: 6' 1 WT: 215 lbs. Eyes: Blue Hair: black with white streak Powers and abilities: Trained by Batman, Red X is a highly skilled hand to hand fighter on at least the same level as Nightwing. He is also an expert in explosives, is a deadly marksman, a skilled detective with talents in forensics and computer science. History: Before Dick Grayson, before Barbara Gordon, there was Jason Todd. His parents murdered by criminals during a home invasion when he was but 10 years old, Jason Todd's formative years were spent first bouncing from one foster home to another, and then on the streets of Gotham. Willfull and headstrong, foster parents could not control him. Eventually, he ended up in the hands of Chaos Monks - a street gang run by a criminal calling himself Brother Chaos. Chaos used children and teens as a front line criminal army. For Jason, the gang provided a home and food and an outlet for his anti-social behavior. But deep down, Jason wanted more. Although a skilled and fearless thief, he wanted to do more with his life. His change finally came when Brother Chaos drew the attention of Gotham's new hero - The Batman. When Chaos had Batman trapped and primed for the kill, it was Jason who leaped to the crime fighter's rescue, betraying Chaos and his fellow gang members. Batman, seeing something of himself in the troubled boy, took Jason in and revealed his secrets to him. Jason immediately jumped at the chance to be Batman's partner and helping prevent anyone from suffering the kind of loss that had shaped his, and Bruce Wayne's, life. For severals years, Jason operated as Redwing, The Batman's partner - a sarcastic splash of colour and youth beside Batman's brooding darkness. As Redwing, he helped Batman bring down some of Gotham's most notorious criminals, including the Joker and the Wrath. But as time went on, Jason's anger rose again to the surface, this time powered by the skills given to him by Batman. He became increasingly rebellious, to the point where Batman was beginning to consider if Jason - now his adopted son - needed time away from crime fighting to deal with his emotional issues. Jason would never get the chance. On his last case with Batman, the duo hunted down the Wrath, who had returned to Gotham to start another killing spree. The Wrath captured Redwing, and in front of Batman's eyes, burned him to death. Or so Batman thought. In truth it was a ruse, and the Wrath keep Jason a prison for four years, routinely torturing the boy. Over that time, Jason's anger boiled over. His father had not arrived to save him and he would never forgive that failure. He escaped the clutches of the Wrath, and came to believe everything he and Batman had done was hopelessly naive. A criminal like the Wrath needed to be killed so that he could no longer pose to threat to anyone. Determined to clean up Gotham his way, to take revenge on the Wrath and on Batman, Jason traveled the world, learning first hand from many of Batman's teachers. In time, Jason returned to Gotham as a skilled and lethal assassin. He had left his past identity of Redwing behind him, and even came to believe that Jason Todd had died at the hands of the Wrath. He instead simply called himself X, and wore the letter in a crimson mark over his heart. In an attempt to force a confrontation with Batman, Red X murdered several low level criminals. When the confrontation finally came, it was cut short by the arrival of Nightwing and the mechanizations of the Wrath. Red X remains at large in Gotham City and his issues with Batman remain an open wound.

Written by Don Walsh Picture by Don Walsh & Tim Abramo Name: Kid Eternity Full Name: Unrevealed Aliases: “Kit” First DC2 Appearance: Flash Annual #1 Status: Believed to be a citizen of the United States with no criminal record, deceased Base of Operations: Mobile Occupation: Guardian spirit Known Relatives: None Height: 5'6” Weight: 155 lbs. Hair: Black Eyes: Blue Powers and Abilities: Kid Eternity possesses a number of abilities owing to his ghostly nature. He is capable of turning invisible to all known spectra of light, become intangible at will, and to fly (though not very quickly). He is also capable of “stepping into the ethereal winds” as he calls it, allowing him to seemingly teleport to any point on the globe by entering the spirit world and reappearing on Earth somewhere else. His most potent power, however, is his summoning ability. By saying the word “Eternity”, Kit is capable of calling forth any fictional or historical legend for a limited period of time, and then sending them away again by repeating the word Eternity. The classification of 'legend' is a vague one, and its limits are still unknown, even to Kid Eternity it would seem. Historical figures must be deceased in order to be summoned, but fictional characters do not need to have died in their tales to be accessible. How recently a figure could be dead and still be summoned remains unknown at this time. It is possible for Kid Eternity to summon up multiple figures, one at a time for individual figures (summoning up George Washington, Abraham Lincoln and George Patton would be three separate summonings); or as a group if that is how the figures are regarded best (summoning up the Merry Men, for example, though Robin Hood would remain a separate summons). Kid Eternity also claims to be guided by a figure he calls Mister Keeper. This spirit guide whispers into his ear, and Kit claims he is present to help the young hero use his gifts best in the cause of justice. According to Kit, Mister Keeper is a friendly, jovial spirit prone to over-caution and jokes in equal measure. Mister Keeper also provides Kid Eternity with insights to situations, people and places that would be unknown to the teen-age ghost. For example, Kit claims it was Mister Keeper who guided him to suggesting Dawn Makes Strong Move as a consultant in the case against Doctor 7. Whether or not there is a Mister Keeper remains a mystery, for no one but Kid Eternity has seen or heard him. If there is really a spirit guide, or if Kid Eternity has some other, unexplored sensory powers, remains a mystery. History: Kid Eternity's early life is an enigma to most people. Indeed, his first name of “Kit” was only just recently learned, and more of his background remains shrouded. He was born with his gift for calling back the spirits of the recently dead, granting them a period of life in order to carry out missions, either for him or for others. He tried to keep a low profile, knowing full well how this gift would draw people to him unendingly, and how his gift could be abused by dangerous individuals. He came to the attention of the second Flash, Barry Allen, when the hero was hoping that Kit could solve once and for all the mystery of Jay Garrick's apparent death. Forces opposed to this moved against him before he could meet with Barry, and put Kit into a coma that appeared to rob him of his powers as well. All tests that could be run revealed no trace of metahuman ability remaining in his comatose body. Before the mystery behind Kit's assault and apparent loss of powers could be solved, he died in an adventure with the adventurer Doctor Occult, in circumstances still kept hidden from most everyone. A short time later, Kid Eternity reappeared to help the Justice League out against a sorcerer called Doctor 7, who had been trapping trickster spirits to use their luck for his own ends. He revealed that he was a ghost, displaying abilities that matched that state of being, as well as a modified version of his original powers. He has given no explanation as yet for this new state of being. Just like he did about his life, Kid Eternity is keeping his death and undeath a secret.

Written by Don Walsh Picture by Mischief & Tim Abramo Name: Manitou Dawn Full Name: Dawn Makes Strong Move Aliases: Dawn Makem First DC2 Appearance: (as Dawn Makes Strong Move) Justice League #8; (as Manitou Dawn) Justice League #12 Status: Citizen of the United States with no criminal record Base of Operations: Sanbourne Institute, Santiago, California Occupation: Professor of Anthropology, specializing in Native American studies; activist for American Indians; novice medicine elder Known Relatives: Strong Moving Sky (father, deceased); Dana Bright (a.k.a. Dana Bright Dawn, mother) Height: 5'8” Weight: 157 lbs. Hair: Black Eyes: Brown Powers and Abilities:Manitou Dawn has a strong base of shamanic knowledge relating to the various American Indian populations, though more deeply focused on her own tribe's rites from the Pacific Northwest. While she has long believed this knowledge to be academic in nature only, recently she has begun to realize that there is truly magic to be derived from it. This makes her potentially powerful and rather limited at the same time. As she becomes more at ease with her growing responsibilities and knowledge, her facility and power will only increase. Through her broad base of knowledge, she is capable of communicating with the spirit world, sensing the proper balance of the natural world, altering weather patterns, and binding and releasing all manner of supernatural entities (all of these given the completion of proper components and rituals). Aside from various items she can craft to perform different spells, Dawn has also been bequeathed the True Axe. This powerful item was said to be carved from the axis mundi of reality, and imbues its rightful possessor powers in keeping with their innate nature while also granting the wielder the duty of maintaining balance across the three “worlds” it crosses through (being the upper planes of thought and emotion; the material realm, where reside the vast majority of mortals; and the underworld, the lands of the recently dead and those that prey on such souls). In the hands of Manitou Dawn, the ax is capable of harming the guilty and the evil, piercing the barriers between dimensions, increasing the strength of her magical skills, and possibly other uses as yet unknown to her. History: Dawn Makes Strong Move was always fascinated by her heritage. As a child, she would sit at the knees of her grandfather and father and listen to them talk about the glories of their tribe's history. As she grew older, she absorbed much of their shamanic knowledge, applying it toward her growing interest in anthropology, but only in pragmatic terms of how it could forward her mastery in that field of science, rather than any strong belief in the actual abilities of the medicine elder. Still, she became extremely proficient in both bodies of knowledge, becoming a leading expert in Native American studies at a young age, even winning a position at the prestigious Sanbourne Institute in California. As her reputation as an anthropologist grew, so did her interest in protecting dwindling American Indian cultures. Dawn became a strong activist for the causes of Native Americans, travelling the nation to speak on behalf of the remaining tribes, help lobby for important legislations on state and federal levels, and raise money for Indian charities. During this time, her reputation as a knowledgeable shaman and medicine woman also began to grow, and she would often be asked to help in local tribal matters. It was with this dual reputation that she came to the attention of the Justice League, at the time investigating a massive endeavour to shift and control the influence of luck (both good and bad) through several spirits mystically bound into forced service. She provided help in freeing the spirits, discovering for the first time a genuine ability to affect the spirit world on a much larger scale than she'd previously believed was possible. Not long afterward, her other skills were brought into action, when Kid Eternity and Hawkgirl approached her, and the Institute (a leading center of anthropological and archaeological studies) for help with the theft of several minor, but potentially mystical, relics. The course of the adventure led her to be involved in an interstellar effort to steal several extremely powerful magical artefacts from Earth by the would-be conqueror Kanjar Ro. During this mission, she also helped to decipher a glyph on the True Axe, a weapon wielded by the storm lord Wandjina. In deciphering it, she enabled him to unlock enough of the weapon's full power to successfully kill the Overmaster, though at the cost of his own life. It was the Silver Sorceress who told Dawn that the True Axe's purpose was to grant a proper wielder the power to maintain the balance, and coming from the core of all reality, would shift its essence to best suit the proper wielder. When she took hold of it, it accepted her and shifted its essence to appear as a large, ornate tomahawk adorned in the appropriate glyphs, beads and feathers. She then took the title Manitou Dawn, in the hope that with her, it would be a new dawn for the Great Spirits (a very loose paraphrasing for her heroic alter ego). At the urging of Hawkgirl and Kid Eternity, she accepted a provisional membership with the League to help her come to grips and master her new powers and station.

Written by Masoud House Picture by Roy Flinchum Manitou RavenFirst DC2 Appearance: House of Mystery #1Status: Recently RevivedBase of Operations: AmericaFormer Occupation: ShamanHT: 5'10" WT: 148 pounds Eyes: Black Hair: Black Powers and Abilities:Beginning as a humble shaman, Raven was gifted with Clairvoyance, Clairaudience, and Clairsentience: the ability to see, hear and feel supernatural occurrences or beings. His Beast Familiar, or "animal to call" was the Raven, hence the name he was given. He can communicate slightly with all life, but with his familiar he can speak and work with the best. Upon his ascension to Manitou (spirit) Raven became more in tune with the spirits of all life within the Earth as well as the Earth itself. With his new wisdom he has gained: Elementalism: the ability to manipulate the elements in various combative and passive ways. Spirit Constructs: he can create temporary Spirit Constructs (that resemble items or animals) created partly from his own spirit energy and partly of the Anima Mundi (or Spirit World). Manipulation of Form Through Beast Familiar: he can manipulate his own form in relation to his spirit and his beast familiar, the Raven. Raven Call: he can call Ravens to him for various tasks: where they come from only he knows. Stoarge: he can pull special tools and items from a pocket universe located in the Anima Mundi. Weapons: Raven's most special tools are the items he took from his shamanic family after the genocide of his people. They are: The Hatchet: A powerful, eternally sharp weapon owned by his father that cannot pierce the skin of a person pure of heart; can cut through many strong substances. The Dreamcatcher: An item created by his mother: it can be used to record events, catch nightmare creatures, and reveal illusions. The Headdress: Passed down from Chief to Chief, this item was his grandfather's. It has the knowledge of every wearer who has worn it before, and constantly whispers facts and opinions. Only one clear of mind and in tune with oneself can take the constant chatting of the hundreds of voices within while still remaining sane. Generally Ravenuses it only when really confused. The Medicine Stick: The one item created by Raven himself, it is his most powerful item. It was created purely from the Anima Mundi and is attuned to his only unique soul. It naturally channels and directs his energy for a number of tasks, and is said to be unbreakable by any force known to man, being made completely out of solid spirit energy. It's power is only limited by Raven's will. None are sure of it's total capabilities, including Raven himself. History:Raven was a young shaman of an off-shoot tribe that were connected to the ancestors of the Algonquin tribes. In his life he had come from a virtuous family of powerful shamans who were deeply connected to the Earth and the spirit world. He had even taken a wife named Dawn who had assisted him on his quest to become a stronger shaman. One night he decided to go on a quest to make himself a better representative of his community, seeking out the Three Sisters (the Weird Sisters or Fates as they've come to be known in different cultures), and during his time with them he was shocked to be told that his village had been wiped out. Given clues as to how to find his enemy, apparently a monstrous creature, he returned to his village and spent an entire week sleeplessly burying every man, woman and child in his village. Most of all he wept for his family and his wife. He gathered his family's greatest tools and set off. Following his beast familiar, a raven, to a fortress, where he entered and fought the foulest of abominations: ghouls, ghosts, banshees, monsters, succubi, and more. Eventually he found his enemy, first appearing as a battered old man, and later revealing himself a giant among giants. He was a lost Chief of an apache tribe and had used their sacred magic word for evil. He revealed, quite proudly, that Raven's village had been betrayed by Raven's own brother, and that he had eaten Raven's brother for a reward. Raven in turned fought him, and by the Raven Manitou spirit empowering him, and by his cleaving a medicine stick out of the Anima Mundi, did he wound the giant, and then calling upon all of the dead in his village did they destroy the giant. He then went int oa deep hibernation, training while asleep in the Spirit World, learning his new role as a Chief Manitou spirit. He has now awakened... Future:Awakening to a new world will not prove easy for Raven, especially when he finds that the injustices he almost died fighting are even stronger in this new century. As he begins to confront the corruption around him he will meet other lost heroes, frightening villains and... Manitou Dawn...

History:It all began when Rex Mason fell in love with Sapphire Stagg, the beautiful daughter of the billionaire Simon Stagg. So great was Rex's love for her, that he didn't for a moment question when his prospective father-in law sent him on a mission to Egypt, to retrieve the Orb of Ra from a pyramid. Unfortunately, for Rex, Stagg's henchman, Java, knocked him out, and he fell unconscious into a hidden chamber, to be bathed by the glow of a radioactive meteorite. That radiation permeated every cell of Rex's body, transforming him into a bizarre-looking shape-changing element man, Metamorpho. Despite Rex's freakish appearance, Sapphire still loved Rex, and they would have married if Cadmus had not then intervened and captured him, hoping to research him and duplicate his powers in the hope of creating the ultimate assassin. Fortunately, Snapper Carr helped him escape Cadmus's clutches, and, thanks to the New Outsiders, he'd soon put that part of his life behind him and was back once again with his love, Sapphire, and happy once more as he looked forward to their forthcoming wedding. However, fate, like Metamorpho himself, has many forms, and at night, while he sleeps, he dreams of another world, another time, where he was kept imprisoned for many decades, and then fought alongside the Challengers of the Unknown. He also dreams of his time in another team of seven soldiers, where Sapphire and he have a son, and neither of them want to see him. Sometimes, while dreaming, he thinks these worlds are real, somehow lost in time, but then, when he wakes up, he convinces himself that they are no more than dreams. And so he carries on with his life, his and Sapphire's life, not realizing that fate is soon about to throw yet another curveball his way.

Eyes: brown Hair: Brown Powers and abilities: None - unless having a cast iron stomach and the world's most powerful liver count. History: Time was, Marvin Fynn was a wonder kid. An up-and-comer. The kind of kid people stopped and said "Now that boy is going to be someone." Fynn graduated from journalism with Clark Kent and had a promising career ahead of him. He quickly established a reputation as a keen investigative reporter who could get inside the greasy underbelly of Gotham City. But that came with the price. Fynn got too close to the world he was covering, and in time lost a piece of himself to it. After 10 years in Gotham, Fynn had enough. He started to drink, brawl, and his career flamed out. It seemed it was only a matter of time before Fynn crawled into a bottle of booze and drowned. But fate had other plans. Pulled from an alcoholic haze by news of the murder of a friend, Fynn through himself into investigating the arrival of a strange serial killer called The Wrath. Teaming up with fellow journalist Vicki Vale and Batman's partner Redwing, Fynn was able to save the life of one of the Wrath's intended victims. Since then, his career has been on the upswing. Although referring to himself as a "recovering alcoholic", it is not uncommon to find him with a glass in his hand. "Well I said RECOVERING," is Fynn's usual reply.

Written by Don Walsh Picture by Ramon Villalobos Name: Midnight Full Name: David Clark Aliases: None First DC2 Appearance: Danger Trail #2 Status: Citizen of the United States with no criminal record; wanted for questioning as Midnight Base of Operations: San Francisco, California Occupation: Radio actor Known Relatives: None Height: 5'10” Weight: 225 lbs. Hair: Black Eyes: Blue Powers and Abilities: The man called Midnight possesses no superhuman abilities. David Clark is a gifted athlete from his high school and college days, having been a football player. When he started up his masked career in earnest, he threw himself back into his workouts. As such, he is quite strong, and has great stamina. He is a fast runner, and quite often utilizes various football-style positions and movements to enhance his personal style of combat. While having no formal training, Midnight incorporates a wide variety of manoeuvres he has picked up from many different sources to give him an unpredictable combat style. Combined with his stamina and iron will to ignore injuries, this makes him a tenacious brawler. He is also very adaptable, taking advantage of his surroundings, using all manner of objects in the environment to his advantage in melee combat. Initially desiring to be a journalist, Dave Clark eventually turned to announcing and acting, but his initial training, combined with the interesting array of information derived from the detective show he works on, makes him a competent investigator, with an open mind and a keen eye for observing human behavior. Occasionally, Midnight will carry a .45 revolver, and is a crack shot with the weapon, but he dislikes relying on it. History: David Clark was a gifted athlete with a keen love of language. He parleyed his ability on the football field into a scholarship to college and took English as a major. He was a passable student who dabbled in journalism while scoring successes on the gridiron and gave no serious thought to the future. He just enjoyed life as it was passing by him. When he graduated from college, he did what many a young person dreamed of doing: packing up a bag and travelling the country. He learned what he could, exploring the various treasures found in the United States, even crossing the border into Canada and south into Mexico. And all that time, he gave no serious thought to his future. Eventually, he found his way back home to San Francisco and began to search for a career. He tried to write the Great American Novel, but discovered that after months of backpacking and surviving off the land, he preferred having a steady paycheck for food on his table and a roof over his head. He took a try at the local newspaper, and he showed a flair for investigation, but his florid writing style leaked through too often and he had trouble adapting to the rigors of daily publication. He had a friend though, one who worked for a new radio station. This station needed writers, needed people who were willing to give a go into this growing area of media, and Dave decided to give it a go. As a news reporter on the air, Dave displayed a strong and inviting voice and a gift for adding emotion to his text. This drew the attention of the head of programming, who had Dave fill in for the sick lead actor of their newest radio show, an crime-fighting show called “The Man Called Midnight”. Inspired by the mystery men of the Roaring Twenties, the show was climbing in the ratings, and when Dave Clark filled in for that week, the ratings went even higher. Dave became the regular lead, something he thoroughly enjoyed, especially as he gained the respect of the writing crew and joined in developing the series. To many across San Francisco, Midnight became their own hero, a strong and protective voice in the dark nights. When Dave happened upon a crooked building developer constructing shoddy tenements and then having them burned down to split with the landlords, the man who never gave any thought to his future found a mask, donned a cheap old suit and went out into action. The police detectives that were assigned to investigate the crimes proved to be involved in the scheme, but it all came crashing down around the ring of criminals when Midnight exposed them and brought them to justice. Suddenly, San Francisco was alive with the news that Midnight was more than just comforting morality plays on the air waves. He was real, he was out there, and they clamored for more. And David Clark, ex-football star and would-be writer, who has never once thought about what his future might hold, was glad to respond. With support from his fellow writers on the show, who knowingly turn a blind eye toward his masked exploits, Midnight watches the streets of his city by the bay, ready to spring into action when crime and corruption rear their ugly heads.

"The Answer is here. The Answer is coming. The Answer wants blood and the lies to breed hatred and death."Written by Charles HoM Picture by Ramon Villalobos The Question is…? [/u] A spoken word essay by Lina Murray[/center] "'Is this on? Ok. Right. I'm doing this for no-one else but myself. I need this. I need to know the identity of the man that saved me five years ago. The man who risked his all to rescue me from the men who kidnapped me from my home and were prepared to kill me to ensure they were not caught. It was him who tracked me down by God knows how, and it was he I needed to meet. To thank. Chapter Seventeen: Things left unanswered. I have spent five years investigating the vigilante known as the Question, but during my investigations, this question always came up: Who exactly is the Question? Interesting thing to ask, I assure you. The Question should be Vic Sage. It took some digging, a misplaced journal located in a Las Vegas motel room by sheer chance (though I suspect... there may be more to this than luck), certain Arkham Asylum records that had fallen through the cracks, and a run in with the DEO that resulted in being hit on by one of the Agents I met, and being confused by the other by cryptic clues, but I found that out. Vic Sage should be the Question. But Vic Sage is a pseudonym. Charles Szasz is the Question… …But Charles Szasz died… Didn’t he? Maybe. Vic Sage, an alias taken on by Charles Szasz, was an intrepid news reporter for World Wide Broadcasting Company, and he was loathed by his co-workers, loathed by the corrupt he seeked to expose, and loathed by those he informed! According to an early entry in Vic Sage’s journals: *Erhem* Professor A. Rodor, one of the greatest living brains on Earth. He could have been the next Einstein, the next… Heck, I don’t know any more famous scientists, but he was great, yet he stuck at the university I attended, taught the next generation, and created something that could have made the map. He created pseudoderm, a second skin that could have been used as a cheap and efficient way of bandaging wounds and helping with the healing process. But after some tampering by a Dr. Twain, that all changed.
Pseudoderm was intended to work as an applied skin-like bandage with the help of a bonding gas, but had an unforseen toxicity (created when Twain, like an idiot, messed up the formula) which was fatal when applied to open wounds… So the entire experiment failed, and the two doctors parted ways.Twain went on to sell the incomplete formula as it was, and the toxic effects caused brain damage and cancer to those who were exposed to it. The binary gas, when inhaled in its incomplete form, caused tumours to metastasize in the lungs, and death soon followed. Vic Sage found this out when Professor Rodor (who, incidentally, was murdered two years ago in Hub City Police Department by what the DEO are calling a pirate ‘animate’ from Apokolips, whatever that means) called on him to help expose the operation, and Sage took a mask of the complete Pseudoderm material as a disguise and entered the warehouse where Twain’s operation was located. According to police and fire department records, said warehouse burnt down that night. No bodies were found. Twain, though presumed dead, remains at large. Things happened since then. A downward spiral of sorts. Vic Sage suddenly stopped acting as the Question, refocused his attention on his career, and then, in Hub City, nearly three years ago, he vanished. Rumours of an Intergang hit whispered along the streets. The Question didn’t vanish. No, he became an urban legend, sightings taking place all over America over a year long period in Gotham, Metropolis and finally, Las Vegas. Las Vegas is where the trail becomes cold. The last entry in his journal reads: I can’t separate myself from the conspiracy. Cadmus. Cadmus, Cadmus, wherefore art thou, Cadmus? I know where you are. I’m coming to get you. I will tear you down, make the truth come out, and I will try… Try to save the lives of those you have kidnapped and tortured. What did Cadmus do? Cadmus. The one last cold thread connecting the Question to the world. His last entries rant and rave about Cadmus. Cadmus doesn’t exist anymore. Not like it did. Cadmus originally was a Metropolis based super-science conglomerate, until it was bought up by the government. During the Justice League Vs America incident, as it has become known, they were rumoured to be behind the Checkmate battalions of super-soldiers. Rumours. There’s another rumour I hear. A strange one. A new figure has appeared in Hub City. The Answer. "She's talking about me now."I fear he knows about me. I dug too deep, too obviously. He’s the antithesis of all the Question was. He seeks to tear down the truth and spread lies. He kills, he murders, and ever since Intergang was driven out of the Hub by the Justice League, he runs rampant because the Hub no longer has a hero. The Question is, according to the Justice League members I have been able to contact… Dead. The Answer… Scares me. And I think he knows about me and what I’m trying to do and if he finds me I think he might ki--' "I'm here."THRRTTT "Here with time to kill."'Huh?' "If the Question saved you, and the Answer is the antithesis of the Question... That makes you a pretty whore who needs to be silenced."KRRRRRRRREEEEEEE "Leeena..."'What?! Oh, no, you, you-- Get away! Get away!' "You're alone now, Leena. Alone."BANG! "Shouldn't have dug, poor Leena. No one to save you now. Just you, me, and the darkness. Welcome to the dark side of the world, Leena. Welcome to my home."" Who is the Answer? Where is the Question? Find out soon, in The Question Vol. 2!

Written by Don Walsh Picture by DrDread Name: Rima Full Name: Riolama Aliases: Daughter of the Didi, the Bird Girl First DC2 Appearance: Danger Trail #4 Status: None; she lives in a Guyanan jungle, but outside of recognized legal authority Base of Operations: Ytaiao Mountain, British Guiana Occupation: Adventuress Known Relatives: Unnamed mother (deceased), Nuflo, adoptive father (deceased) Height: 4' 6” Weight: 100 lbs. Hair: Black Eyes: Brown Powers and Abilities: Rima is extremely athletic, with an amazing sense of balance, great agility and hand-eye coordination. Her reflexes are sharp enough to catch thrown missiles such as darts in mid-flight and to duck muscle-powered missile weapons such as arrows. She is surprisingly strong for her size, and possesses tremendous stamina. She is skilled in unarmed combat, though true to her wild upbringing, she uses no formal style. Instead, she relies on a repertoire of self-developed manoeuvres derived from successful hunting animals. Rima speaks her own unknown language, resembling no known human language. However, birds seem to respond to her language, and while it remains unknown if she actually can understand the birds in return, it is clear they understand her speech. She also possesses an uncanny ability to befriend animals in her jungle. It is unknown if this reaches the level of metahuman ability to speak and command all animals, or if the animals of her jungle just accept her as one of their own. By the very nature of her existence, Rima is an unparalleled tracker, hunter and survivalist. She can speak English and other languages native to the area, though heavily accented. History: The early history of Riolama, better known to the people of South America and to the readers of obscure books as Rima, was captured in a novel called Green Mansions, written by William Henry Hudson. He met a strange man by the name of Abel, who told Hudson the tale of his adventures in the jungles of British Guiana (present-day Guyana). There, he'd met a strange woman the natives called Rima, Daughter of the Didi (an evil spirit that lurks in the darkest woods). He investigated strange noises from within “Rima's Wood” and met the small, strange woman. Eventually, she led him back to meet Nuflo, an elderly man who was once a bandit and raider. He eventually revealed that he had found Rima's mother on Mount Ytaiao, already pregnant and wasting away for no reason he could discern. She passed away shortly after giving birth to Rima, apparently from the the environment, which she was adverse to. Nuflo raised Rima, helping her to survive alone in the jungle, though she quickly adapted to her surroundings, and built on the bird-like language she and her mother spoke. Nuflo never could understand it, but let the young girl explore and learn the ways of her jungle. The only word that Nuflo ever understood from Rima's mother was “Riolama,” another mountain further south and what she clearly wanted Rima named. Eventually, the trio journeyed to this other mountain and learned it was the home of Rima's people at one time. Now though, they were all gone, the entire tribe apparently dead from disease and invasion. Rima was alone, and saddened by the fact. When the trio returned to Ytaiao, they learned that the nearby tribe that hated Rima had raided her territory and laid a trap for her. Nuflo was killed, and Abel struggled to convince the chieftain to spare Rima and himself and leave the area. It was to no avail, and Rima was killed. Abel departed the region in sorrow, eventually meeting Hudson in Caracas, Venezuela. There he told Hudson the sad, sad story and vanished from sight. What he didn't reveal to Hudson was that Rima had survived. Her ability to communicate with birds and befriend animals enabled her to avoid the ambushes of the rival tribe, and she and Abel used their superstitious belief that she knew “dark jungle magic” to convince them to flee from her territory. Rima, who had mastered enough English to speak with Abel, kissed him and sent him away. He could never return to the tribe he'd once been friends with, not with the “Bird Girl's taint” on him. And he couldn't stay with her, especially not with the new legend the Daughter of the Didi would need to establish to keep the tribes away. She loved him, and he loved her, and they parted ways. Now, Rima continues her existence, protecting the jungles around Mount Ytaiao from all manner of exploiters and raiders, as well as providing assistance to the tribes that hate her from the same depredations. She loves the natural harmony of the jungles, and will refuse to allow them to be ruined. Her legend as a white ghost and offspring of vengeful jungle spirits has spread wide and far, and even people who don't believe in her existence find that her reputation hinders their actions due to its power over the locals. She has on two occasions travelled beyond her jungle since her time with Abel, but is plainly uncomfortable in such foreign lands.

Written by Susan Hillwig Picture by Craig Cermak & Ramon Villalobos Name: Shining Knight Secret Identity: Sir Justin/Justin Arthur Status: Hero Base of Operations: New York City (20th Century), Camelot (6th Century) Group Affiliation: Law's Legionnaires AKA Seven Soldiers of Victory, Knights of the Round Table Occupation: Knight/Assistant Curator, New York Museum of Natural History Known Relatives: Danette Reilly-Arthur (wife) Height: 6'1” Weight: 185 lbs. Eyes: Blue Hair: Blond Powers and Abilities: The Shining Knight is well-versed in the styles of combat common in Arthurian times, both mounted and hand-to-hand, and has a passing knowledge of more modern techniques. His enchanted chain-mail armor is virtually bulletproof, and his sword is capable of cutting through nearly any substance -- both are also resistant to magical attack. His mount, Winged Victory, boasts increased speed and stamina far beyond any normal horse, not to mention the gift of flight. Though Sir Justin has a full grasp of modern English, he has a tendency to lapse into the archaic speech patterns that are more familiar to him, especially outside of his Justin Arthur identity. History: In England during the 6th Century, a small village that lay far from Camelot's protection was besieged by an ogre named Blunderbore, who killed all who dared pass through the woods surrounding their village. They knew that they would surely perish if they did not face up to the creature, but no one was brave enough to do so, save for a young man by the name of Justin. Armed with only an old sword and an ill-fitting suit of mail, Justin mounted his horse, Victory, and rode off to what the villagers thought were certain doom. The battle was fierce, but Justin refused to give in, slashing away at Blunderbore with all his might until the ogre could no longer stand against him. During the battle, his sword struck a great oak in the middle of the wood, and to Justin's amazement, a man burst forth from the tree and banished the flagging Blunderbore with a wave of his hand. He soon discovered that the man was Merlin himself, imprisoned within the oak by Morgan LeFey, and Blunderbore had been set to guard against anyone who might try to free him. Having borne witness to Justin's selfless heroism, Merlin transformed his armor into unbreakable, golden chain mail, as well as enchanting his sword and granting his steed the ability to fly. Riding atop the newly-renamed Winged Victory, the young man accompanied Merlin back to the hallowed halls of Camelot, where he was dubbed Sir Justin, the Shining Knight. For many years, Sir Justin fought alongside his fellow knights, upholding the Round Table's code of chivalry and defending the realm from all threats, both human and supernatural. But Morgan LeFey continued to rally her forces against King Arthur, eventually leading up to one climactic battle between good and evil, one that even the Knights of the Round Table could not win, and Camelot fell. During the battle, the Shining Knight faced off against LeFey herself, but the sorceress used her magicks to entomb both Sir Justin and Winged Victory under a mountain of ice and rock, a final act of revenge for freeing Merlin years before. Centuries later, in 1939, an American scholar by the name of Dr. Moresby was traveling through England, following clues he'd found in ancient texts that spoke of where the fabled remains of Camelot may lay. While exploring a mountainside that was supposed to have been the site of a great battle long ago, he happened upon a cleft in the rock, which revealed a glint of golden armor. After hacking some more of the eroding rock away, Moresby found the still-frozen bodies of Sir Justin and his steed, protected from harm by a side-effect of Merlin's enchantments. Once he was properly revived, Sir Justin returned to New York with Dr. Moresby under the guise of the doctor's new colleague, Justin Arthur. Though losing 1,400 years in the blink of an eye was a tremendous shock, Justin did his best to acclimate to the 20th Century, becoming Dr. Moresby's assistant at the Museum of Natural History, but he could not shake his knightly oath, and would spend his evenings donning his armor once more and taking to the skies on Winged Victory, watching over the citizens of New York just as he'd watched over the peasants of old England. In late 1941, while investigating a series of thefts from the museum, the Shining Knight joined up with six other heroes to take down a secret organization called the Iron Hand. With the shadow of World War II looming over the United States, they later decided they could serve their country best as a team instead of individually, and formally banded together as the Law's Legionnaires (see The Seven Soldiers of Victory), defending their home soil as many of the more powerful heroes went overseas to fight the Axis powers. Sir Justin also gained an unexpected bonus to joining this new team: a renewed bond of fellowship, one that he'd been missing since the loss of the other Knights of the Round Table. It served as an anchor for him to this new world, and it soon led to an even deeper bond with one of his fellow Soldiers, Danette Reilly (see Firebrand), whom he married not long after the war ended. Sadly, in 1948, the Shining Knight mysteriously disappeared while on a mission with the Law's Legionnaires. The circumstances of his disappearance, as well as the fates of the rest of the Soldiers, remains a mystery to this day.

Written by Susan Hillwig Picture by Craig Cermak & Ramon Villalobos Name: The Spider Secret Identity: Thomas Hallaway Status: Hero Base of Operations: New York City Group Affiliation: Law's Legionnaires AKA Seven Soldiers of Victory Occupation: Philanthropist/Crimefighter Known Relatives: None Height: 6'1” Weight: 195lbs. Eyes: Brown Hair: Black Powers and Abilities: A moderate hand-to-hand fighter, the Spider's greatest strength is his keen marksmanship with a bow and arrow. He relies mostly on standard arrowheads, though he has been known to sometimes employ special arrows (grappling-line arrows, concussive-head “stinger” arrows, etc.) depending on the situation. History: Like many other people during the Great Depression, Tom Hallaway's family left their home to travel cross-country, hoping to find work elsewhere. They eventually settled on the West Coast and flourished in a time when some people couldn't even afford basic necessities. Tom himself took full advantage of his family's newfound wealth, pursuing a leisurely lifestyle and indulging his interests in recreational sports, especially archery. In 1941, however, he made a nostalgic trip back to his old New York neighborhood, and found that the memories he had of the place were no longer true-to-life. Crime and corruption had eaten away at the streets he'd grown up on, and the police cared little about it, so long as they got paid off by the gangsters in charge. Disgusted by the whole situation, Tom began to pour his own money into bettering the neighborhood, only to be confronted by a group of thugs who preferred that the money go into their pockets instead. It was then that Tom realized how blind he'd been in thinking that his wealth could solve any problem -- if he really wanted to get rid of the corruption, he'd have to get his hands dirty and cut it off at the source. Donning dark clothes and strapping a quiver to his back, Tom tracked down one of the top crime bosses in the area and confronted him in his own home, telling him to close up shop or face the consequences. “You and your kind are nothing but insects,” Tom said to him, “and I'm the spider that's going to catch you all and swallow you whole.” After that, every assault on the underworld Tom made was attributed to the Spider. A few months later, while tracking down the source of a new drug hitting the streets of New York, the Spider joined up with six other heroes to take down a secret organization called the Iron Hand. Despite his newfound allegiance, however, Tom still preferred to work alone when it came to defending his old neighborhood, and while he would respond to a call for help from his fellow Soldiers, he rarely asked them for help in return -- that one-sided relationship kept him on the fringes of the group throughout its history. Then in 1948, the Spider mysteriously disappeared while on a mission with the Law's Legionnaires. The circumstances of his disappearance, as well as the fates of the rest of the Soldiers, remains a mystery to this day.

Written by Dan Johnson Picture by Mischief & Ramon Villalobos Name: Static Secret Identity: Virgil Hawkins First DC2 Appearance: Black Lightning and Static #1 Status: Hero Base of Operations: Star City Occupation: Student Age: 17 Height: 5' 8" Weight: 150 lbs Eyes: Brown Hair: Black Powers and Abilities: With the ability to control and create electricity, Static finds a wide array of tactics and techniques at his disposal. Though the limits of his powers have not been tested, Static has developed a set of uses for his powers which he uses regularly; a short burst of electricity coupled with a physical attack to act similar to a taser, a magnetic pull allowing him to control metal objects, an application of electricity to stick an object to another, and a visible stream of energy causing electrical shocks to the area of impacts. New to his powers, Static is still discovering new uses for his powers often. History: Robert Hawkins graduated at the top of his class on a fast track to be grouped among the best scientists in the nation, but with hopes of helping people directly, he opted to open a free clinic in the neighborhood he grew up in. For money, he began developing specially made costumes for superheroes with the help of his high school friend Jefferson Pierce, known to many as Black Lightning. In his spare time, he found himself tagging along with Jeff, as Black Lightning's gadget-wielding sidekick Gear. When he met his future wife Jean Patterson, his days as a superhero diminished greatly. With a child on the way, money problems began to pile. When Jean was paralyzed during a protest, things became much worse. A prime example of mannerisms resulting from nurture over nature, Virgil Hawkins managed to take his parents' caring traits on despite his living conditions and crime-filled environment, though with a group of friends involved in gang activity as The Bangers, trouble still seemed to find him. After catching a stray bullet from The Bangers' rival gang, The Heat, The Bangers retaliated and a gang war broke out near a chemical plant belonging to Alva Industries. Tricked into tagging along, Virgil was caught in a chemical explosion that gave the teens in the area various superpowers. Under the watchful eye of Black Lightning, Virgil adopted the name Static and found his own style of fighting crime. Today, Virgil and his family are moving to a better part of town, though he continues a search for the rest of the super powered teens, dubbed 'Bang Babies', with a corrupt police force and Star City's new mayor, the evil Edwin Alva, out to get him.

Written by Patrick J. Nestor, Jr. Picture by Mischief & Sylvain Swimer SupernovaSecret Identity: Buddy Blank Aliases: OMAC First DC2 Appearance: Booster Gold #3 (Although mentioned in Booster Gold#2) Status: Hero Base of Operations: The Timestream Occupation: Time Agent HT: 6' 1" WT: 185 Eyes: Blue Hair: Black Powers and abilities: While Buddy Blank himself has no powers at all, the Supernova suit (which was built by Rip Hunter) is a more advanced design of the time travel suit worn by Walker Gabriel (Which was stolen from the estate of David Clinton, the original Chronos). It gives Supernova the ability to move through time and space and to absorb energy from the time stream that can be harnessed and projected into a sort of transporting beam. The suit is able to freeze time for the person wearing it so that while the wearer keeps the suit on, he would feel no need for eating or drinking, and would be able to exist indefinitely without aging. It also gives the ability of flight and acts as a shielding agent making the wearer completely immune to any and all scans. The suit is specifically keyed to Buddy's DNA, which still holds the dormant power of OMAC, and requiries any wearer to be related to Buddy in order for the suit's abilities to function in any way. History: In a future of a parallel universe Buddy Blank was a nobody. A thin, timid clerk in a huge corperation who was constantly ignored or bullied. Unknown to Buddy however, was that he was chosen as the test subject for an experiment by Physicist/DNA Scientist Doctor Myron Forrest. The experiment was called the OMAC Project. The OMAC (One Man Army Corps) Project was to have two halves. Buddy would actually be the 2nd half. The first was a AI sentient supercomputer satellite, that was launched into space by Dr. Forrest, called Brother Eye. The OMAC Project was adopted in an attempt to stop the ongoing rush of crime that was starting to overrun the 'World that was Coming'. An international police force named The Global Peace Agency was keeping a lid on organized crime to an extent, but was starting to lose their hold on the organizations that were terrorizing the world. Dr. Forrest came up with the concept of a satellite that could observe and instruct a single agent with the power of an army. Brother Eye was that satellite and Buddy was to became that agent. Buddy was unaware of the events about to change his life. At work, while following a mysterious co-worker he had become enamored by, Buddy discovered a secret section of his company that was creating life-like andriods that would explode upon being activated from afar. Realizing his co-worker was nothing more than a lifeless assassian, Buddy tried to escape, but was captured. While Buddy was being caught, Dr. Forrest decided it was time to put the OMAC Project into full activation and instructed Brother Eye to perform a form of laser surgery on Buddy. This cellular reconstruction transformed Buddy into OMAC. OMAC made short work of the secret cabal and destroyed all of the assassian androids. Over the next few months, OMAC and Brother Eye went on a series of missions, stopping crimelords and any attempts at world domination and destruction. Eventually they came across a madman called Doctor Scuba, who wanted to flood the world and turn it into a planet covered by oceans. When OMAC broke into Scuba's underwater lair, he was cut off from Brother Eye by a device and transformed back into Buddy Blank. Scuba then attacked and managed to severely damage Brother Eye. Before Scuba could use his machines to fully destroy the AI satellite, there was an energy backlash to his lab that resulted in a large explosion which ripped apart the underwater lair. Brother Eye, although damaged, managed to transport a confused and frightened Buddy out, just as Scuba’s lab exploded. Then he put himself into a repair and hibernation mode. Due to the damage he had taken, Brother Eye was unaware that OMAC had reverted to Buddy Blank. Buddy was caught in a sort of status hold. He was vaguely aware of things happening around him. He was not asleep, but he was not awake. They floated in space... Brother Eye slowly repairing himself for weeks. It was during this time that the two were discovered floating about by Extant. Extant read Brother Eye's memory/Data banks and recognized the technology as something he could use in his plan to undo the strands of the timestream and redo all of existence in his image. He interuppted Brother Eye's repair mode and reprogrammed the satellite to obey his commands. He planned on having Brother Eye transform Buddy back in a twisted version of OMAC... a powerful One Man Army that he would command. However, Extant was stopped by that Earth's Supergirl. While Supergirl and Extant fought, Rip Hunter appeared and whisked the satellite, with Buddy still inside, away to his own lab inside the timestream. While examing Brother Eye, Hunter accidentally activated the satellite. Brother Eye attempted to take over all of the computers in Rip's lab. Realizing that Extant had already corrupted Brother Eye, Hunter jettisoned the satellite out of the timestream before it could change Buddy and infect the Lab's computer system. Knowing that Brother Eye and Extant would be looking to transform Buddy into a maniacal OMAC, Hunter fitted him with the Supernova suit which would be able to tap into the dormant OMAC genes that were now mapped into Buddy's DNA. Buddy would be Hunter's 'Agent X'... the important key in a plan to stop Extant that might already have failed due to Hunter's unexplained disapearance. As Supernova, Buddy has managed to avoid detection from Extant and Brother Eye, but recent events forced him to reveal his identity to Booster Gold and Blue Beetle. Brother Eye was able to trace the exposure of Supernova's true ID through the timestream and is looking to retrieve him for Extant's final push to destroy the timestream and become it's despot ruler. Only time will tell if Supernova, Booster Gold and the rest of Hunter's Time Agents can defeat the maniac known only as Extant.

Written by Patrick J. Nestor, Jr. Picture by Sylvain Swimer Walker GabrielSecret Identity: Well, Walker Gabriel, but it's not a secret Aliases: Chronos, Gabriel Clinton First DC2 Appearance: Booster Gold #2 Status: Supposed Hero, although some doubt that Base of Operations: The Timestream Occupation: One time thief and present Time Agent for Rip Hunter HT: 6' 1" WT: 195 Eyes: Green Hair: Black Powers and abilities: Walker Gabriel seems to have no actual powers of his own. Using the suit he wears and the time band given to him by Rip Hunter, Gabriel is able to move through time and space. He is also a master thief who can pick any lock and sneak into any location, seemingly no matter how well guarded it is. Gabriel is also a black belt level martial artist, having once spent a few months in the past training with Bruce Lee. History: Walker Gabriel was a boy without direction. When he was seven, his father abandoned him and his mother. Walker's memories of his father were limited to the days he spent with him at his labratory. Without his father's presence (and salary) Walker and his mother quickly fell into the ranks of the poor and were ignored by society. Walker was extremely intelligent, but instead of concertrating on his schoolwork, he came up with ways he could steal the things he and his mother needed. Money, food, clothing, you name it, if he could carry it, Walker stole it. By the time he was thirteen, Walker had been caught a number of times. Because of his age, he managed to stay out of any major trouble and each time he was caught, he learned from it and never was discovered that way again. However, at the age of fifteen, Walker made a huge mistake and was drawn into a Jewelry-store robbery attempt by some local youths. During this robbery they were discovered by Mr. Sweeny (the shop owner) and one of the other boys took out a gun to shoot him. Refusing to be part of a murder, Walker knocked the gun away and they fought. The police came and caught most of the youths; and Walker (along with the rest of them) was sent to juvenile Hall. The boy with the gun, Franklin Scatts, got away. Because he saved the jewelry shop owner from Scatts, Mr. Sweeny went to bat for Walker and he got a lighter sentence. Hoping to give the boy a second chance, Sweeny gave Walker a job upon his release from Juvie Hall. However Scatts, still looking for revenge on Walker, killed Sweeny and set Walker up to take the fall. This time, despite being only sixteen, Walker was sent to jail. It was in there that he came across David Clinton (Chronos). Clinton was not in the same cell block as Walker, but since the mess hall was used by different cell blocks, they often would pass by each other. Walker noticed that Clinton would look at him funny, but figured it was just some pervert looking to prey on him, so he kept his distance. It wasn't until Clinton cornered him in the prision library that he found out the older man's interest in him. "I finally figured out why you look famliar. You look just like your father," Clinton explained. He told Walker that he and his father had been lab partners until the day he had just up and disapeared. Having a small connection to his father, Walker became friendly with Clinton, who also kept other inmates from bothering him. After a while, Clinton revealed his history as Chronos to Walker, telling him that the Atom had caught him trying to steal antique clocks. Walker didn't believe him until Clinton revealed he was building a small one-time time travel device to get him out of jail and that he would take Walker with him. Working in the shop, Clinton was able to get the materials he needed and as he had bragged, was able to escape the prison with his device, and took Walker with him. Back at his hideout, when Clinton was asleep, Walker searched around, looking for a way to contact his mother to tell her he was okay. While doing so, he came across Clinton's journal and decided to read it. In there he made a shocking discovery. Clinton and his father had been working together on the possibility of time travel. Unknown to Walker and his mother, the elder Gabriel has been a temporal theorist. Clinton and Gabriel had been on the verge of discovering the secret of the timestream when the older Gabriel had just disapeared. According to his journal, Clinton wasn't very sorry because he had planned on getting rid of his partner anyway. Clinton caught Walker at that moment and confronted him, accusing him of spying on him for his father. They scuffled and Walker was thrown back into a device. Without realizing it, Walker hit a button and transported himself into the future. As Walker jaunted out, the device fell to the ground and was damaged, thus Clinton had no way of knowing where and when Walker went. Walker found himself in 2147. He sat on the exact same spot which was where Clinton eventually had built a house. Looking down, Walker realized he still held Clinton's journal. Walker, sitting in the front yard, was discovered by Alster and Michelle Clinton, decendents of David Clinton. Thinking quickly, Walker passed himself off as Gabriel Clinton, a distant cousin. Due to the knowledge he had about David Clinton, Alster and Michelle accepted Walker's story and allowed him to stay with them. Walker pretended to be a Clinton while searching for anything that David would have left behind. Eventually he found what he was looking for, one of the last Chronos suits that Clinton had created that had been left in a secret bunker on the property. Walker took the suit and using the knowledge from the journal, went back to his own time. Over the next sixteen months or so, Walker hopped back and forth between the past and the future, teaching himself as much as he could, and aquiring enough money to set his mother up for the rest of her life and creating a new identity for her to hide her. During that time he often used the name of Chronos, setting up Clinton for thefts he didn't commit, in an attempt to keep anyone from knowing that Walker himself was involved. Fully satisfied that his mother was protected and that he was prepared for whatever he might face, Walker decided to search the timestream for what happened to his father. Before he had a chance to embark on this search, he was approached by Rip Hunter to join his group of time agents. Walker knows that his experience is what drew Hunter to him and that he may not be fully trusted. Whether Walker has completely forgone his thieving ways or not is not yet known.
