It's pretty self contained. Any mention or appearances by the characters as pertaining to Zero Hour serve mostly as bonus meterial. As in not a must read to get the story. As in all important plot points and everything happen in this mini, but there are some Booster and Beetle cameos around the DC2 and DC3 that will be a pleaseant surprise when you find them.

There may very well be the odd one shot that adds to the story, but aren't necessary reading to enjoy the main book. There's an Action Comics one shot planned featuring Steel, Guardian, the Champion and the MCU, but we don't know if we'll be able to get it out in time, but if it does come out, it'll pick up a thread thrown up in #5, though not one that's imperative to the plot. The event should be fun, not something that you drown in, and that's something we're aiming to provide. A non-drownable event

*Kicks himself over backing out of the series at the last minute*
Nice jobs boys, I'm glad that this mini was finally launched. Hats off to everyone that had the time, and conviction to stay involved in the series.

I liked it. The questions and the suspense you've built make me want to come back and see what happens. It's very well written. I can tell that each word was chosen for maximum effect and not a character was wasted. Great job! I'll definately be back.

Sorry it's taken me so long to get to this, fellas, but I'm sure glad I did!
Terrific story! I've stayed away from the planning boards so I could come to this fresh, and I gotta say it paid off. I was very impressed with the clean prose, brisk pacing and masterful characterization--- more impressive because of the sheer number of characters involved!
First impressions: I really hope Inertia gets what's coming to him! How many different Rip Hunters did we see in this issue? Is Freddy Freeman Kid Marvel on Earth-5, as well (I thought he was Cap Jr. there)? Is Brian really Extant?
Awesome cover, too. Nice selection of characters across the Multiverse, beautifully rendered.
The only criticism I have is (not having read Booster Gold--- shame on me!) I feel a little adrift, like I've missed something important, backstory-wise. This didn't necessarily hamper my enjoyment of the issue, but made me wonder if I was "getting it." Like, for instance: who or what is Timeflux? He/she/it kinda just appears like I'm supposed to know who he/she/it is supposed to be...
Very nice preview issue--- looking foward to the mini!
