Interesting take on Jason Todd. I like the update of 'stealing hubcaps off the Batmobile' (if that's what you were going for), and I like his established resourcefulness. Jason's a different animal than Dick, and I appreciate that that comes through here. Nicely done.
If there's any complaint, it's probably the lack of action. I get the sense that something bigger's coming (especially considering the cliffhanger), but this one seemed a bit too quiet, if that makes any sense. Still, I like the characterization and I'm looking forward to seeing Jason's tenure as the Boy Wonder.

I liked your version of Jason, really makes the second boy wonder feel more modern. The ending's reference to the mutants of TDKR was a nice touch.

Even better than No.1! The prose is tauter by miles, and juxtapositional viewpoints worked really well for me. Interestingly, the abscence of the usually ubiquitous 'Batcam' first person inner monologue served the piece well. Once again typo's detract from an otherwise proffessional looking work. Ditch the Spellcheck, get a human to proof your copy. Next one soon, please? Love Peter

The 'stealing hubcaps' update was what I was going for. I wanted it to be something modern. I got the idea from reading an article on how some guy( in Pittsburgh i think) stole the identity of Paul Allen. I also got inspiration for his update from Paul Popes brilliant Batman Year 100, where that Robin was more of Batman's tech support as opposed to being out on the street. It won't preclude him from taking that role as well, since we'll see in the upcoming issues, he can definitely hold his own. He would have to, living on his own on the streets of Gotham. Lack of action was something that concerned me writing this, but I felt it was a necessary set up piece. We will have lots more action in the upcoming issues, so I hope it will make up for it.

I'm drawing from all over the Batman Mythology, from Morrison, Miller, Paul Pope and even from Earth One here on the DC2. Some people in the know may recognize some upcoming stuff as things Charlie and I had planned when we had our tenure as Gotham's caretakers.

While it's not soon, relating to the date of your post, issue 3 should be out soon.

Not much new I can add, other than say that I'm looking forward to the next issue.
Can't wait to see how this develops with the ideas you're hinting at. Using this title to build the Earth A Gotham is massively exciting, as is your slant on familiar characters (and admittedly unfamiliar spellings, but I think that's been mentioned just a few times already).
Good show.
