First thought: Really? "Luscious Fox"? REALLY? Sigh. I think I'd be more annoyed if I didn't actually laugh at it, so points to you.
Second thought: This needed an editor. Lotta typos here.
Actual thought: I liked this. I liked seeing the positives and negatives to seeing Barry become a hero, I liked the foreshadowing going on, and I like seeing the Rival as a villain. He's a guy who doesn't seem like he gets much play in the actual stories, but has a lot of potential. I'm interested to see what you do with him and how he and Barry interact with the Flash legacy. Also, that cover looks great.
Liked this story and looking forward to what comes next.

I really enjoyed this! A snappy read, covered a lot of bases fast, and you did some really subtle work with the hints toward Barry's super-metabolism-- a couple of pizzas and some chinese takeaway? I was like "what?!" then I was like "OH!"-- which I really like to see in stuff like this. Barry was relateable, Wally is blatantly the villain, and I enjoyed the way the action panned out. I like the police procedural aspect of it, the superheroics seemed secondary, and it's fun to see a different kind of take on the genre.
The thing is, we're not reinventing the wheel here, we're not doing anything new per se, every good idea has been taken but we're putting all these old ideas and concepts through the wringer and coming out with stuff we all enjoy reading, so I always like it when fan fiction makes me smile.
Good work, Alex! See you next issue.

Thanks for reading Scott. I appreciate it. First thought: Really? "Luscious Fox"? REALLY? Sigh. I think I'd be more annoyed if I didn't actually laugh at it, so points to you. A little Earth A inside joke. Something I need to work on. With things coming out more consistently (i hope), this will work itself out. This issue was difficult for me, since I re-wrote it so many times, by the time I posted it, I just said F-it, but I need to strive for better. All stuff that is going to be seen in the upcoming issues. This arc is going to set up a lot of big things coming to Earth A. The cover was my first attempt at using colored copics, with the effect added in photoshop. Coloring seems to agree with me better this way and I'm going to try them out on the next couple of covers to see if it's something I'll stick with or maybe just use on occation. Thank you again for reading. I'm glad you liked it.

I like the police procedural aspect of it, the superheroics seemed secondary, and it's fun to see a different kind of take on the genre. Thanks for reading Charlie. The police procedural stuff was fun to write. I always thought of Barry as a cop first, superhero second. I got the inspiration from watching the Flash TV show and reading how writers were going to take on a Flash movie were the procedual was going to dictate the tone(this was about the time Green Lantern was relelased. I don't remember their names, but I think it was the same group that wrote Green Lantern). Reimaging is always a tricky line to teeter on. You want things to be fresh and different, but not at the cost of being relateable. The Flash is such an important hero. He's ushered in two different universes (Silver Age and New 52) and I hope that when all is said and done with this arc, we will see why he's so important in this one. I appreciate you reading Charlie. I'm glad we have you back.

Got a kick out of the Luscious joke, I'll admit that.
Yeah, police procedural adds a good depth to the Flash, and you write it well. Looking forward to seeing more of the Flash doing the Flash's thing, but I like how momentous the little flashes of Flash were.
Really good way to start the Universe title, with the mercurial flash of lightning that starts up the meta human explosion; and the doom-laden promise of badness to come.
Great issue.

And here's where I start playing catch up. Good stuff so far! Wonder why the villain doesn't recognize Barry as the Flash?
